Chapter 237: [Bonus Chapter] Major Revelation

"Marry Zeus as soon as possible, and then go somewhere far away from him," Lucifer asserted in a solemn voice.

"What?!" Faith exclaimed. "First, you took advantage of me, and now you want me to leave him?!"

"For the last time… I didn't do anything to you," Lucifer let out a weary sigh.

"Then prove it!"

"How am I supposed to prove it?" Lucifer groaned.

"Do that thing."

"What thing?"

"The thing that Zeus always does when he wants to show something." Faith was talking about Zeus' blood ability which he used to show and see the memories.

"I can't do that. I am not a vampire like him," Lucifer retorted.

"Then what can you do to prove your innocence?" Faith asked with a judging look on her face.

"Come on, Faith. I have known you ever since you were born. I descended to give you my blessings. I watched you grow up into a beautiful angel. I am your guardian and your best friend. Do you truly think I would do such a horrible thing to you?"

Faith pondered for a while and muttered, "Fine. I believe you."

Lucifer sighed in relief and said, "You always become an idiot when you are in a panic. Even though you have the ability to see who is lying and who is telling the truth, you don't use it."

"However, I won't leave Zeus. I am going to spend my entire life with him," Faith asserted.

"Your body is possessed by a dreadful curse. I barely managed to seal her using every bit of my powers. If…" After a brief pause, Lucifer uttered, "If I was even a second late, she would have taken control over my body, and your worst nightmare would have come true."

"Can't you seal her again?" Faith asked with a curious yet calm look on her face.

"There is no guarantee that she will choose me again." Lucifer shrugged his shoulders and said, "She can go to any random dude and do that thing."

Faith bit her lips and said, "What if Zeus seals her? He is more powerful than you, so…"

Lucifer shook his head and said, "Her powers were similar to Zeus. So most probably, she gains power from him. The closer you are to him, the more powerful the curse will get."

"In short, if you stay close to him, she will take over your body. That's why, I am suggesting you to stay away from him."

"But I… I can't live my life without him. I would rather die than spend my life alone…" she said in a disdainful tone.

"There is no other option, Faith. I will talk with Zeus about it. But I think he is not aware of the curse either."

"Can't you ask the gods for help?" Faith wondered. "They don't listen to my prayers anymore because I went against their wishes and decided to marry Zeus. But they should listen to you, right?"

"The gods want to get rid of Zeus, so there is no way he would help us. In fact, if gods got to know about the curse, they might try to inflate it."

Faith started crying, but Lucifer didn't notice because he was thinking of solutions to stop Nyx.

SNIFF!

However, after hearing sniffing and sobbing, Lucifer looked at Faith and saw her crying. He wanted to say something to comfort her, but there was no time for that.

"Crying won't solve our problems," he remarked.

"Why is this happening to me? I have never done any harm to anyone. I haven't committed any sins in my life. So why is this all happening to me?" she asked while crying.

"Don't ask me…" Lucifer muttered. "My life is not any better either."

Faith wiped her tears and uttered, "What about Emilia then?"

Lucifer raised his brows and asked with a confused look on his face: "Who is that?"

"The half-angel…"

"Oh!" Lucifer exclaimed and said, "What about her?"

"She is from the future," Faith stated.

"...uhh… what?"

"She claims to have come from the future. And she says she is our daughter," FAith asserted with a deadpan expression on her face.

"What?! That's nonsense!" Lucifer retorted.

"I confirmed she was telling the truth," Faith remarked.

"But that's… there is no way…" Lucifer raised his brows and said," What if she was being deceived by someone?"

"What do you mean?" Faith asked with a puzzled look on her face.

"What I am trying to say is, what if someone had lied to her about that and she believes it's the truth? In such a case, your ability won't be able to pick up the lie, right?"

Faith shook her head and said, "The person who told her was none other than Sophi. And you know there is no one like Sophia in the heavens, hell, or any realms who can compare her in terms of knowledge and wisdom."

Lucifer let out a deep sigh and covered his face with his hands.

"If Sophi said that to her, then it has to be true. But I would never—"

Suddenly, the door of the shed opened, and the sunlight filled the room. The person who opened the door was none other than Emilia, and she was staring at Faith and Lucier in disbelief.

Emilia turned to Faith and said, "Why did I even believe you…"

"No, you are wrong! This is a misunderstanding—"

Emilia suddenly scoffed and said, "I know. I was just kidding."

"Huh?" Both Lucifer and Faith were confused.

"I was listening to your conversation the whole time. So don't worry," Emilia said with a grin on his face.

Faith frowned her face and glared at Emilia before saying, "Do you have any idea how stressed and anxious I am? And you are making jokes here!"

"Relax." Emilia looked at Lucifer and said, "Are you sure that you would never do anything to Faith?"

"I would rather die than touch any girl other than my Dunia," Lucifer replied in a solemn voice.

"Then what about me? Why do I exist?" Emilia asked. "According to Sophia, I am your daughter."

"I think I know why Sophi said that. She isn't lying, but she is mistaken." Lucifer smiled at Emilia and said, "You are not mine, but Zeus' daughter."
