Chapter 410 - 410 Never Forget

Leo sits up and looks at the entrance, "a waterfall? It sounds lovely." He got up and looked around the place. "It looks like you have everything sent up here. Are you planning on running away from me?" 

"I am not planning on running away but there is a time where we might need to separate. Not that I want to but it all depends on how the seals inside break. I only have three left. Do you think that I would be okay if I let them break and shatter?" Kitty took his hand and placed it over her heart. 

"Mmmm, I understand. I like the setup but it seems to be a bit on the darker side. You did not decorate this but at the same time it is within your taste." Leo felt her heart beating in her chest as he looked around. "Please show me where he passed." 

Kitty took Leo's hand and took him outside the waterfall and walked to the middle of the water holding his hand and bringing him with her. "It happened here. I have all his essence inside of me. I am now in more danger than before. I can no longer get the life essence as I still carry the water element runes."

Leo looked around and kept in mind what he saw. He bent down and touched the water. "Rex you were a wonderful person. I do not know if I would have lasted this long without you here for me. I will come to visit your resting place as often as Kitty will let me. Please move on, you lived longer than you needed to." 

Kitty watched Leo, "Grandfather I am eternally grateful to you and you know that I am proud to have been your family. I will watch over this world in the shadows as you have done in the past. I know that you did not want to leave too early for my sake but I will be okay now. I will break the seals slowly. Your essence will sustain me at least until I get most of the runes transferred to the new bearer." 

Leo stood back up and held onto her hands. "My dear wife, dance with me on the water. We will dance for him and that way he will be able to rest peacefully."

Kitty placed her one arm on his shoulder and the other went into his hand. They started to waltz on the water with Leo leading her. 'See everything will be alright Grandfather. You saved the two hunters.' All around them, the water started to glow blue, green, red, yellow and finally purple. 

~Kitsune, I am always watching over you.~ Rex's voice flows in on the winds and the lights slowly disappear as fast as they came. 

Leo was leading and heard to voice. "Berith, I will take care of Kitsune, rest well." He stopped dancing and lifted her up. He walked back into the cave and laid her down on the bed. He leans down and kisses her cheeks and lips while some tears fall down their cheeks. "I'm sorry that he died and that the captive got free."

"Darling," Kitty tried wiping his tears away but was unsuccessful. "It is okay, we can not save everyone. Besides, we need to do all that we can to save those that are still alive. You had to make a choice. Save your people or go after someone that needs to pay a price. We will get him and I think that you made the right choice." Kitty kissed him on the lips. "We will win this war but I want you to be wary of Daniel. Something about him is not sitting right with me and also Ketan feels the same. I can feel the emotions for both of you a little stronger since you both are tied to me."

"Okay, I will be very careful. It seems like Brielle is suspicious as well. I do not remember Rex taking another under his wing and that was what tipped me off as well so I will be careful and you must also be careful." Leo laid next to her and pulled her into his arms. "Do you want me to start the hunt right away or do you think he will be hard to find?"

Kitty thinks and shakes her head. "There is no point in pushing this as he is not going to be out in the open. I think that it would be best if we do not hunt him. Let him slip up and think that we have not started the hunt for him. You can send night creatures to scope out information. We can ask Yuki and Cedric when they come over on Friday. I will ask Cedric to walk me down the aisle for the commercial."

"That is a lovely Idea. I have always treated you like a daughter and I always will." Cedric stepped into the cave and looked at the two cuddling on the bed.

Yuki rushed forward and hugged Kitty and Leo. "It is so sad! I thought that he would live the longest but now that he is gone." She cries on the two that she was hugging.

"Mother, it will be okay. I am safe but you heard my request, do you think it is possible?" Kitty was pinned under Yuki and was unable to wipe her tears away.

"It not only is possible but I will trouble our guardians to help out." Cedric looked to the door and walked Sephira and Claude. 

"Milady, it is good to see you again." Sephira bows to Kitty.

Claude looks at his wife then at Kitty, "I am glad that you did not marry our descendant in the end. I would not be able to think straight about how messy that family tree is getting… not that anyone living knows that we the shadows have given life. We are ready to hunt down those that need it anytime."

Yuki finally clams down and moves. "I'm sorry. It has been a really rough time. I have been too emotional lately."
