Chapter 327 - 327 First Hunt (4)

Leo watched as Kitty flipped off the Lynx. Leo jumped onto the Lynx and attacked the same way Kitty had and pulled exposing the other artery. He landed a little more roughly and ate the meat that was in his mouth. ~This is a lot more fun than a rabbit but I do understand why we started at that point. I would not have been able to take this creature on my own so you wanted me to see where I could start when you are not here with me.~

Kitty watches as the lynx falls to the ground and transforms and drinks the essence from the lynx before transforming back. ~Yes, that is what I wanted you to see but you are also a fast learner. I am grateful that you can copy my movements even though you are a little unsteady. We can eat to our heart's content. I must say that this was a very satisfying hunt. The humans were not something that I like to hunt. I prefer animals like this.~

Leo watched her and then approached the lynx. He tore off a piece of fur and tossed it aside. ~I understand but if something is not done then they will continue to come here and will be a threat to our son and eventually our daughter. I do not like our family being put into a dangerous situation. I would rather see you do what you have to do in order to protect our children.~

Kitty walked up to Leo and tore off more fur and looked at him happily. ~Thank you for understanding. I know that I can be a bit brutal when I start hunting but that is all within my nature. So thank you for not judging. Next time I will help you be able to attack better. Your landings need some work but you did a great job attacking by watching me.~

Luke walked into the forest and followed their scent in the air. He missed the human bodies and appears where they killed the lynx. He sat down next to the kill and looked at the two foxes covered in blood. "You two smell like you have more blood on you than just this lynx."

Leo tore some of the meat off and ignored Luke as he started eating. ~You can invite him right. I am not sure how this works.~

Kitty looked at Luke and then connected him. ~Luke you should've stayed in the house. It is a bit dangerous here in the forest. There are trespassers that may still be lurking and they will find it odd that you are sitting next to two foxes while they are feeding from a lynx.~

~So that is the scent that I smell on you. I thought that we do not kill humans? Or is it because you two are in the fox form that you can make it look like an animal attack?~ Luke watches as the two eat and doesn't pay attention to the forest. 

Leo eats and also doesn't notice anything. ~I made that call. I do not think that it is fair to put you or your sister in danger here in our forest. I trust that you understand what I am saying. Charlette will need to learn at some point.~

Kitty stopped eating and jumped in front of Luke growling and her fur puffed out. ~Stay back both of you!~

The final hunter stepped out and aimed a gun at Kitty as she was the one growling at him. "There really are some nice looking animals in these woods. I do not understand why that man refuses to let us hunt here." As he says this line he sneers down at the fox.

Ketan snuck up behind the hunter and quickly snapped his neck. As the hunter's neck was snapped he pulled the trigger on the gun. ~Sorry, I was too late. There were a few others in the woods. I drained their blood but they are not all that tasty. I will toss this one down a cliff making it look like he suffered an accident. This is the last one. I was tracking him and I saw him stop before aiming the gun at you.~

Kitty took the bullet so that it would not go into Luke. She winced in pain and she stepped away from the kill and took three steps into the woods and transformed back. 'F.u.c.k that hurts. Luke is not like us and would die.' 

Luke was in shock over what happened and couldn't move. It took a while for him to process what had just happened.

Leo raced after Kitty and transformed as soon as he reached her. "Kitsune! How can I help you?" Looking at the wound in her shoulder he saw that it was bleeding pretty badly. 

"Darling. I need you to take the bullet out of my shoulder right now. I know that you do not have any tools so let Ketan help you." Kitty looked at him in pain.

Ketan took the few steps and tossed his coat down and pulled out a pocket knife. He sliced his arm before handing Leo the knife. "You are a f.u.c.k.i.n.g hassle and a half. You know that?"

Leo picked up Ketan's coat and covered up Kitty and took the knife from Ketan. He got the bullet out of her shoulder blade and watched as Ketan had pooled the blood in his hand as the wound healed. Keaten took the blood and pressed it to the wound. "You always think about others before your own self."

"Shut it Ketan. You know how I am and yet you choose to stick around with me. You are just as much of a fool as I am. I already knew it would happen. I will not let my son get killed when he may choose to take things over for me. I can not let him die as he has so much life to live still." Kitty glared up at him as her wound started to seal and the blood stopped flowing out. "Bring the Lynx to the house I am sure that Carlos can use the meat and we didn't get to eat too much and the cat is almost drained of all blood."
