Chapter 71 70

Leo feels his phone go off but he decides to leave his phone alone for now. His main priority is Kitty. He places his hand on her belly and feels the baby move. "Kitsune, our little one is moving inside of your belly. I can't wait to meet the baby and for us to be connected for the rest of our lives. I will keep you safe for as long as you will keep me by your side." He listens to her breathing softly. 'I think she is sleeping which isn't a bad thing. I should really check my phone.' He sighs softly, stops rubbing her belly and pulls out his phone. He checks the message from Will. ~She'll be fine. She is sleeping soundly at the moment. I don't need help to protect my girl but I should've been more careful. Can you relay the message that we are in the van that we will be taking with us? I would greatly appreciate it.~

After what felt like an excruciatingly long time Will's phone chimed with an incoming message. He fumbles his phone and almost drops it. After that blunder, he opens and checks the message. He sighs then looks at Cindy and Julie. "Leo said that Kitty is doing fine and is now resting. They are in the van that they will be taking later. That is what he wants me to convey to you two." ~Okay, message delivered. Sorry, for mentioning that guy. If I didn't bring it up this wouldn't have happened. Let me know if you need anything.~ He closes his phone. "I guess all that is left to do for me is monitoring the emails. I am supposed to be looking for suspicious activity. So far I have sent that I haven't sensed anything and that maybe the ones who are here are rather crafty."

"Thank you, Will. I am going to go to the kitchen and let Grant know. I also said that I would help prepare the food. So I will go help out with that as well. Cindy, you should relax before you have to leave." Julie smiled at the group then walks towards the kitchen.

Cindy sighs, "I guess that leaves just you and myself. The two best friends of the couple. I know that you are engaged you don't need to worry about me hitting on you. I am shocked at what I found out today though. I knew only some of what happened. We, the people never pressure our leader to talk. If she wants to tell us she will. I am really grateful that she has Leo now. She really needs someone like him to be by her side." She drinks her orange juice.

"You are welcome. I am just doing what any real friend would do." He says this as Julie leaves. "Kitty talked about Sam and myself to you? I am honored that she remembered me to be honest. Sam adores her. Would you mind if I took your picture and sent it to Sam. I'm sure that Kitty will introduce you two." He asks her and taps his phone.

"I do not mind. Does Sam know what you do for a living or what Kitty truly is?" She asks curiously.

"Sam does not know everything from the hunter part of my life. I have told her some of it but there some things that I have yet to explain. Leo is really hard working and will change how everything is run soon enough. I don't think she knows about Kitty yet." He picks up his phone and takes a picture of Cindy.He attaches the photo to sends her a message. ~Sweetie, this is Cindy. She is Kitty's midwife. I think Kitty is going to be moving in with Leo so the three of you girls will get the opportunity to know each other. As you already know Leo and I are really good friends so we see each other often.~

Sam picks her phone in a rush and looks at the message. ~OMG!!! I can not wait to see Kitty again and to meet Cindy. She looks wonderful. Please, dear, give her my phone number I want to converse with her directly. I love you so much. I hope that you are well and that everything is okay on your end <3~ She squeals in delight. 'I can not wait to see my best friend again. I wonder if Leo has proposed yet?'
