Chapter 213 213 On to the Toys

Tiana stuck her hands out, "Big brother, lift out Tiana, please."

Luke picked up Tiana and helped her into the car. He did up her seat belt and smiled at her. "I hope that you can find a few toys while we are out but remember we won't be able to get toys all the time. So choose well right now. Tiana do you know when your birthday is?"

Cindy started placing the bags in the back then took the slippers from Luke and placed them in the trunk. "From what I have seen some are not too bad but those two seem to be the types that would gossip. Do not pay such people any mind." Cindy closed the trunk, smiled and got into the car.

"Tiana isn't sure when her birthday is but it wasn't soon. Cake is only for birthdays that is what daddy would say. Tiana only got a cupcake on her birthday but it was so tasty!" She started at Luke with her big round eyes.

Kitty walked to the other side of the car and got in. "That is okay, Tiana. We will figure out your birthday and if we can not figure it out we will give you a birthday. Carlos makes an amazing cake. Oh, and after dinner, you will be able to have a dessert."

Stella climbing in the front seat and sat down she placed the bag at her feet. "I hope that one day you will not be as scared of me."

Luke climbed into the car last and did up his seatbelt, "I am sure she will warm up to you eventually. In the meantime Stella I will be your friend. I trust that you will not do something to hurt my family and if Ketan says that you are under his command then I will trust that bond between you two."

"Okay, so the toy store first and then dinner?" Cindy looked back at Kitty.

"Yes, please. Hopefully, the place we go to sells a booster seat so that we do not need to go somewhere else." Kitty relaxed her head against the door.

"Dessert? Tiana will be allowed dessert? Tiana is even luckier." She dramatically places her hands on her cheeks and slightly opens her mouth.

Luke takes out his phone and takes a picture of Tiana. "Yes, you will get a dessert if you eat all your dinner. That is what Leo always would say to me. Do you like ice cream?"

Cindy drove them to the toy store and swiftly parked the car. "Okay, we are here. I will take Stella to find a booster seat. Kitty and Luke can take Tiana to fun some toys and such."

Kitty got out of the car and stretched a little bit. "I will go along with this plan."

Luke undid Tiana's belt and then got out of the car. "I agree this will make it easier."

"Big brother, Tiana Likes ice cream." Tiana freed from the belt climbed out and latched herself on Kitty's leg. "Mommy, Tiana is so excited!"

Kitty held out her hand and lead Tiana into the store. "Do you know how to read Tiana? We will pick up some storybooks to read. If you don't know Luke and I will teach you how to read." She walked towards the books first.

"Tiana, would like to learn to read. Tiana knows a few words but not enough for a book, mommy." She skips towards the books.

Luke followed behind the two and grabbed a cart. He pushed the cart listening to their conversation. "I will help teach you to read and write. They are skills that you will need in the future. There is nothing wrong with learning them now." He looked at the learn to write books and picked out two of them. One was a book about numbers and the other was the alphabet.

Tiana looked at the books in fascination. She reached her little arms to try and pull a book down but couldn't reach it. "Tiana is too short, Mommy can you help me please?"

Kitty saw that book and picked it and handed it to her. "Here you are, dear. This is the one you were looking at right?" She started to look for more books like that and found out that it was a book series that had a box set. "Tiana, how about mommy buys you this instead? This has a whole collection of princess stories including the one you are holding."

Tiana looks at the book collection in awe. "Can Tiana have all those books, Mommy? I would like all of them." She looks up in anticipation.

Luke chuckled and looked at the baby books he found a set and added it to the cart. "If Mother offers it to you that means she wants to get it for you if that is what you want."

"Tiana wants, please. So many princess books. Tiana is so happy." She handed the lone book back to Kitty and watched what she would do.

Kitty placed the book set in the cart and placed the single book back. "Let's see what coloring books there are for you to color in." The walked down the aisle and went to the coloring books. "Tiana you can pick out five coloring books that you would like, okay. So think long and hard which ones you would like. Then we will get you a crayon set of 152 pieces that you can use."

Tiana looks up at Kitty and has some tears in her eyes, "Tiana feels like she is dreaming five brand new books and a huge set of colors just for Tiana. Tiana will choose well." She looks at all the coloring books and spots a unicorn one. "The first one for Tiana is the unicorn one!!" She rushes the book to Luke.

Luke took the book. "Good job you still have four more to choose." He got down and wiped the tears away," once she was out of earshot he whispered, "she is going to be so attached and not want to leave. I do hope that she will not get jealous of the baby. Tiana is a good girl and we are blessed that she is taking this easily."
