Book 3: Chapter 8 (6/9)

Three days later. The long wait has finally ended. Unlike the arena of Flumen city, the arena built in Linkeep Island was very different. It had a total of three rows. The row on the left was reserved for the Mages Council, the middle was for the world leaders, and the row on the right was reserved for the Dryardian Empire. Those three rows were lined on one side while the other side was just large empty lands because this island was evacuated seventeen months ago by the order of the Mages Council. All the houses and buildings that were built on the island were destroyed to create massive empty lands for Kain and Noe to fight on. This was much better than Kain and Noe taking their battles in a big city such as Flumen or Benil, resulting in countless innocent deaths.

After the three rows of the arena were filled with audiences of the Mages Council, the Blood Mages Guild, the Rogue Mages, and the world leaders. The half-naked Noe Clerico wearing only white leather pants and a pair of white leather boots entered the arena followed by Kain Bersk who also appeared to be half-naked as he was only wearing black leather pants and a pair of black leather boots.

Emperor Lucius Flavonius Acilianus asked Prime Minister Ateia Ordia, “Ateia, do you think the Supreme Leader will win?”

Ateia answered, “I sure hope so.”

Both Ateia and Lucius wished that Kain would lose and die. They would rather not expand the Dryardian Empire than have someone such as Kain leading them.

Lucius turned toward Adrik and asked, “Emperor Volsky, what about you?”

Adrik honestly answered, “Noe Clerico is strong, I knew that a very long time ago. But I didn't know he had a spell to revive himself without limit. I still can't figure out how to counter such a powerful magic spell. Emperor Acilianus, we don’t have to worry much though. Look at our Supreme Leader, his smile showed that he had full confidence in this battle. I’m sure the Supreme Leader has figured out how to defeat Noe Clerico.”

Both Ateia and Lucius looked at each other again in disappointment. If Kain could defeat Noe, then the Dryardian Empire will forever have to serve him as the Supreme Leader. The Demi-Human is a superior race compared to humans, how can they agree to live equally to the human race or serve a human? If it wasn't for Kain's overwhelming power, the Dryardian Empire would never submit to any human, not the Mages Council, not Adrik Volsky, and especially not any other nation including Bifjorkian Theocracy. Ateia and Lucius weren't worried about Noe Clerico, because he wasn't the conqueror type that wanted to take over the Dryardian Empire like Kain Bersk.

Princess Zemelda Edhilda Acilianus asked, “Father, what should we do if the Supreme Leader loses? Don't you think the Mages Council would take this chance to eliminate us all?”

Lucius and Ateia didn’t seem to care much about that. Etgar Revenmar calmly explained, “Princess Zemelda, the Mages Council wouldn’t dishonor the agreement they have with us in front of the other world leaders. Still, we don’t have to worry much about that because the Supreme Leader will win.”

Adrik said, "Etgar, always have your guard up. The Mages Council may not want to dishonor the agreements in front of the world leaders, but their Holy Mage Gwenn Bigham would."

"I understand, Emperor Volsky." Etgar respectfully answered.

Etgar believed in Kain. He had no choice but to believe that Kain would win this battle. If Kain loses, that means the Blood Mages Guild loses. Etgar will never be able to reach the power that Kain reached unless he encounters a Timeless Dungeon. Timeless Dungeon isn't something that you can just wish and it would appear. Etgar knew he would never have a chance to encounter such a Magical Dungeon let alone survive it to become as strong as Kain. If Kain can’t defeat Noe Clerico, how can Etgar or any other Blood Mages defeat him? Azura Kreel had advanced into Saint-tier using the resources the Mages Council gave her, but she would never be able to reach the power that Kain had reached. Not only Kain was the hope of the Blood Mages Guild, but the idol and symbol of how strong a Blood Mage can truly be. Deep down in Etgar’s heart, he couldn't accept the thinking that Kain Bersk would lose to Noe Clerico.

Staring into each other's eyes, Noe and Kain didn’t waste any time talking to each other. Noe raised both of his arms up and opened two Dark Vortexes while Kain activated [Second Soul] to release the blond-hair version of himself who instantly transformed into a Devil using the ultimate magic spell, [Devil Anatomy].

Ten minions walked out from the first Dark Vortex were: Stefano, Crocodile-kin, male Eleventh Stage Saint Dark Knight of Toria Continents. His full name was Stefano Auregli. A male Devil Warrior named Hurien from Devils’ planet. A female Devil Mage named Clairene from Devils’ planet. A male Sixteen Wings Angel Battlemage named Astien from Heaven Realm. Another female Sixteen Wings Angel Battlemage named Helviane from Heaven Realm. Jyrik, male Eleventh Stage Paladin Warrior of Norelf Continents. Like magic casters, Paladin Warriors have mana pools and can heal themselves and others using their mana even if they weren't born with an Elemental Soul. Bernard, male Eleventh Stage Magic Knight of Norelf Continents. Magic Knight also has a mana pool and can cast some low-tier magic spells of Fire, Ice, and Thunder Elemental Magic but can't heal themselves like Paladin Warrior. Similar to Paladin Warriors, Magic Knights weren't born with Elemental Soul. Lysander, female Vampire Empress of the Timeless Dungeon. Lien, female level 100 Eleventh Stage Warlock Warrior of Timeless Dungeon. Unlike other warrior classes of Norelf Continents, Warlock Warriors can use a unique magic system reserved for them to enhance their fighting ability. Their magic system is entirely different compared to the magic system of Toria Continents or any other planets of the lower realms. Similar to Magic Knights and Paladin Warriors, Warlock Warriors have mana pools but their mana pools are much larger. Lucas, a male Summoner Warrior. Lucas was the final boss of the Timeless Dungeon Noe participated. Noe immediately turned Lucas into one of his minions right after slain him. Lucas wasn’t just a warrior or a magic caster, nor both. Lucas possessed a unique ability to summon evil spirits to assist him in battle. Compared to Lien the Warlock Warrior, Lucas was at least ten times stronger. Lucas by far was the strongest minion that Noe Clerico had because of his unique fighting abilities.

The other ten minions walked out of the second Dark Vortex were: Herwin, male level 100 Earth Mage of the Waylea Continents. Ermina, female level 100 Wind Mage of the Waylea Continents. Agnes, female Dragon-kin, Eleventh Stage Saint Dragon Knight of the Cordragon Continents. Conrad, male Dragon-kin, Eleventh Stage Saint Dragon Knight of the Cordragon Continents. Cerobius, male level 100 Ice Mage of Belrose Continents. Regena, female level 100 Conjurer Mage of Belrose Continents. Kenyetta, female level 100 Thunder Mage of Esterden Continents. Angi, female level 100 Fire Mage of Esterden Continents. Yrsut, level 100 female dragon that possessed Angelic Soul. She was one of the Elder Dragons of the Dragon Realm. Darvan Milton, level 51 Saint Blood Black Mage. He was going undercover as David Bodwyn, former Executioner that served Lord Noe Clerico of the Gray.

Kain and Etgar opened their eyes widely after seeing Darvan Milton was the last minion that walked out of the second Vortex. Needless to say, Noe must somehow track and kill Darvan while he was isolating himself to meditate to advance into level 51 of Saint-tier from level 50 of Legend-tier.
