Book 3: Chapter 1 (6/7)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
Kain casted [Conjure Skeleton Warrior] spell then immediately banished that Skeleton back to its realm. Kain said, “One, I’m flying using Vampire Wings. Two, I just proved to you that I can cast magic which meant I wasn’t using a [Shapeshifting] spell. Do you need any more proof, Guildmaster?”

Etgar said, "What about your black hair?"

"As I have said, shit happened. I can explain more about it later."

“You are right. I was being too cautious. Only level 50 Legend-tier Blood Mages and above can use the [Vampire Lord Transmutation] spell. Kain, you may enter the palace. Make sure you prepare your answers carefully or I will place harsh punishments upon you about being absent from the guild for over three hundred years.”

Kain didn’t use the [Vampire Lord Transmutation] spell, but he didn’t bother to explain it to Etgar since the fewer people know about his true power, the better it would be for him at this time. Too much has changed in Toria Continents since Kain left, he wanted to see if those changes were good or bad before revealing his real power. Kain deactivated the [Puppeteer] spell that was controlling Emelia and other Blood Mages then starting to walk into the palace.

At this time more than a hundred thousand Demi-Human Warriors surrounded the Blood Mages Guild and blocked its entrance/exit gate. A Bull-kin Warrior wearing full steel armor set having two battle-axes on his back walked in and said, “Lord Revenmar, I’m here to arrest that black-hair man. Please excuse us for trespassing on your palace.” The Bull-kin Warrior pointed his right index finger toward Kain.

Etgar turned toward the Bull-kin and said, “General Alfreid Zeder, this man is a member of the Blood Mages Guild. You all may be at ease.”

A Lion-kin Warrior was standing at the gate angrily said, “It doesn’t matter if he is a member of your guild or not. He shouldn’t fly through the city gates without special authorization. He must come through the city gates like everybody else. We needed to bring him before the Emperor so he can be executed for his stupidity. General Zeder, just gives us your command and we will pure in to execute him.”

Etgar angrily stares at that Lion-kin and said, “Who are you daring to execute one of my guild members? Either leave now or I will speak to King Volsky about your disrespect.”

“Etgar Revenmar, you and the Slaves' King are just homeless dogs serving our Emperor. Don’t be too cocky because one day you will lose your usefulness. By that time-”

Before that Lion-kin finished saying what he wanted to say, Kain casted [Force Punch] spell from a thousand feet away but its effect was still too strong and blew through that Lion-kin along with hundreds of other Demi-Human warriors. By the time General Zeder and Etgar realized what happened, the Lion-kin and other hundreds of Demi-Humans were already dead due to all organs in their stomachs being completely crushed.

General Alfreid Zeder was a Third Stage Saint Warrior. But if such [Force Punch] spell was casted on him, he would have died just like the Lion-kin and the other hundreds of Demi-Human warriors that were standing near him. “Such powerful magical power, he wasn’t someone a hundred thousand warriors could handle. I needed to report this to the Emperor so he can send a Great General that had at least thirty million soldiers to apprehend this man.” Thinking so, General Zeder gave the order, “We needed to retreat for now. Lord Revenmar, prepare to face the consequences from the Emperor!”

Kain screamed in anger inside his head, “Watcher Tykan, what have you done? Why would you use my body to attack the Demi-Humans and provoked them even further? If I'm forced to fight them now, this could expose my true power and cause unnecessary problems that I'm not aware of yet. I needed more time to investigate to see everything that changed in Toria Continents.”

Communicated with Kain inside his head, Watcher Tykan said, “Kain, I’m just helping you out. You just came back to this realm but I knew everything that happened to it at the time you were inside the Timeless Dungeon. What you needed to do now is create a name for yourself, not hiding your true power.”

“Why do I need to create a name for myself?”

“You will understand soon. I wasn't looking to create problems for you. I was just finding an opportunity to help you make a name for yourself.”

"May I have my body back, please?"

"Of course."

Kain still didn't know Watcher Tykan couldn't permanently possess his body and Tykan wanted Kain to think that way. Watcher Tykan then released Kain's body back to him.

Etgar opened his eyes widely in disbelief then quickly shook his head and thought, “Kain must have reached at least level 53 in magical power. That explains how his [Bloodlust] spell could have enhanced his [Force Punch] spell to that extent. Despite growing in numbers, there aren't many talented Blood Mages in my Guild. If Kain indeed reached Saint-tier, then there will even be more reasons for me to protect him."

Etgar was wrong. While Tykan was possessing Kain's body, he didn’t activate the [Bloodlust] spell or even cast [Force Punch] spell at full power. Because if he was, not just hundreds of Demi-Humans were killed but possibly thousands.

Etgar yelled at Kain, “Kain, hurry and go inside the palace! I have more questions for you now!”

Etgar then turned toward General Zeder and said, “If the Emperor wanted to apprehend him, then you guys will have to go through me and my guild first.”

Etgar was about to walk away but then he took a deep breath and angrily said, "The stupid Lion-kin referred me and King Volsky as homeless dogs. Make sure you bring that up to your Emperor as well. Without the help of my Blood Mages Guild and the Rogue Mages that served King Volsky, the Dryardian Empire wouldn't be as strong as it is today. I'm sure the Emperor will make the right decision because Prime Minister Ateia Ordia knew how useful we are."

General Zeder and other Demi-Humans knew how strong Etgar Revenmar was, they looked at each other then slowly walked away. Etgar knew things wouldn’t just end like this. Those Demi-Human Warriors will report this situation to Emperor Lucius Flavonius Acilianus. Thinking so, Etgar casted [Replica] spell to create a version of himself and flew away from here toward Adrik Volsky’s castle.

Etgar thought to himself, “Before things escalate to the next level, I must inform King Adrik Volsky so he can speak with Lucius not to execute Kain. Having another Saint Blood Mage will greatly benefit my guild.”

Despite already walking inside the palace, Kain’s great hearing sense allowed him to hear Etgar casted [Replace] and send that clone to fly away. Kain thought, “What made the Blood Mages Guild display as cowardly as it is today? The almighty Guildmaster, Etgar Revenmar, now had to worry about those weak Demi-Humans?”
