Book 2: Chapter 10 (1/10)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
Noe Clerico saw Gwenn Bigham get stressed too much over this. Noe offered to provide help through hunting Adrik Volsky by himself. Gwenn immediately refused because she wanted Noe to stay as close to her as possible. Even Lord Donoghan can’t stop Adrik from escaping, no one else in the Mages Council can stop that man. Of course, the only person who can defeat Adrik Volsky is her secret lover, Noe Clerico. If Noe leaves Flumen city, who can protect her if Adrik comes? Despite possessing overwhelming magical power with an upgraded Elemental Soul from Angelic to Archangel as part of the reward for completing the Dungeon with difficulty rated ten, Gwenn still wasn’t sure if she could defeat a living legend magic caster such as Adrik Volsky. Gwenn’s goal right now is to upgrade as many Legend-tier magic casters in the Mages Council to Saint-tier Mages as possible. She will need Noe Clerico to stay by her side in the meantime to keep her safe.

In the Timeless Dungeon. Kain was meditating to focus on creating new magic spells when Iris appeared and said, “Kain, am I interrupting your meditation?”

Kain opened his eyes and shook his head. He said, “I have advanced into level 100. My meditation will be for creating new magic spells only. Interruption won’t cost me anything unless I am about to successfully create a new magic spell.”

“I’m glad to hear you have advanced into level 100 magic caster. One million years have passed, have you ready to advance into the Tenth-tier yet?”

“I am ready to face any strong opponents. Please teleport me.”

“There will be no reward for this Ninth-tier. The quests for Tenth-tier will be dueling with strong opponents. There will be five battles and you are required to win five rounds in a roll before you can teleport to the next tier.”

“I understand.”

“Farewell, if you survive the Tenth-tier, I will appear again to congratulate you.”

Kain closed his eyes when being teleported to the next tier by Iris. And when he opened his eyes again, Kain saw that he was in a large dueling ground of at least five hundred thousand square feet. A large crowd of people was sitting on the audience’s side cheering to see him.

“This feels very familiar. It was just like the battle arena in Flumen city, but at least five times larger.” Kain thought.

“Watchers of the universes. Allow me to introduce to you, Kain Bersk from Toria Continents! He is a level 100 Saint Blood Black Conjurer Mage, as well as half-man, half-vampire who possess the strength of an Eleventh Stage Saint Warrior.” A loud voice said as the audience crowd cheered louder.

Kain looked around and couldn’t find the man who had such a loud voice. The voice continued, “However, magic casting will be prohibited for this battle.” Kain suddenly felt extremely weak after hearing that. He immediately chanted for a magic spell of [Conjure Skeleton Warrior] but couldn’t cast it. Kain checked the blood pools inside his stomach and it was gone as well.

Kain thought to himself, “I see. Those dumb Watchers took my ability to cast magic away. I guess my opponent is just a Saint Warrior, that is why it will be unfair if I use magic. Even the blood pools and health pools inside my stomach were deactivated to prevent me from using them. I guess the Blood Equipment will be useless for this battle as well.”

The loud voice started introducing Kain’s opponent, “And now, let me introduce to you Iviss Sasken, an Eleventh Stage Ghost Warrior from Norelf Continents!”

“Ghost Warrior?” Kain asked out loud remembering the Ghost Skeleton Warrior bound to Avery Dorinshyl who was defeated by Arthur Castillon in a friendly duel.

A female having pink hair walked in as the crowd cheered out loud for her. Kain quickly observed his opponent and could feel she wasn’t weaker than him in terms of physical strength. She wears full silver armor from neck to toe leaving only her head exposed. Not only that, but Iviss also has two silver daggers on her hips.

“Because I am a half-vampire, half-human, this is why that bitch decided to use silver weapons and silver armor against me. How naive, those silver weapons won’t put me at any disadvantages.” Kain smirked as he thought about it.

“Kain Bersk, Iviss Sasken, please stay in your positions. This is a duel to the death. There will be no surrender! May luck be with you.” The loud voice advised both of them.

From the crowd, a familiar voice yelled out loud, “Kain! We bet on you! Kill that girl as soon as you can!”

Kain turned toward that familiar voice and saw a silver-haired tall man was smiling at him. Kain dug through his memory and finally figured out who that man is. Kain said, “Watcher Tykan…” Kain once saw Tykan during the trial of the Tykan Eye when Etgar forced it on him. Kain looked to the left of Watcher Tykan and saw another familiar female face was smiling at him as well. That was Watcher Zorim. Her statue was built in all Mages’ Academies throughout Toria Continents as she is the Watcher for their planet. Not just Kain who received cheering, but Iviss also received cheering from the Watcher of Norelf Continents and other Watchers who have bet on her.

Kain unlocked his Storage Ring and took out his Magical Diamond Ice Spear that was embedded with twelve small Mana Stones. Even though those Mana Stones won’t bring him any benefit in this fight, the Magical Diamond Ice Spear that he crafted and bound to his Conjurer Soul will be very useful. Kain spun the Diamond Ice Spear and threw it in the air then opened the palm of his right hand waiting for it to fall back into his hand. After the spear landed on Kain's right hand again, he slammed it down on the floor, penetrated a foot and six inches on the ground, then got into his position to prepare for battle.

“Battle started!” The loud voice said as the signal for battle to start.

Iviss sprinted toward Kain at a very fast speed and then vanished. Because Kain had the experience of encountering a Ghost Warrior before, Kain flexed his Vampire Wings and flew up as he turned around and delivered a strong kick using his right leg. Just like Kain had guessed, Iviss appeared behind Kain and attempted to stab him in the back but was forced to the defense because Kain successfully landed a kick toward her. Iviss instantly vanished again and reappeared back to her original location.

“I can fly, but she can’t. This will be my advantage.” Kain thought.

Iviss thought, “He knew my trick. But that is not the only trick I can use.”

Kain flew toward Iviss and repeatedly delivered one powerful kick after another. Iviss used her daggers to parry Kain’s attacks and threw a kick using her right leg toward him. Kain smiled as he threw a punch using his right fist at Iviss's right leg. Iviss’s right leg was broken after this encounter and she was forced to get into her invisible mode hoping to have enough time to heal her leg using the [Recovery] technique of a Ghost Warrior. Kain’s senses have increased tremendously after he became a Vampire Mutant. Kain couldn’t see Iviss clearly but could feel her presence. He summoned his Diamond Ice Spear as it flew into his right hand. Kain used the Ice Spear to repeatedly strike it in Iviss's direction. Iviss parried Kain’s spear attacks and rolled back several times to keep her distance away from him. Just when Iviss thought she was safe, the Ice Spear appeared in front of her because Kain threw it. She quickly dodged it then rolled back even further away.

Kain opened the palm of his right hand again allowing the Diamond Ice Spear flew back into it.
