Book 2: Chapter 8 (7/9)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
The Lords, Executioners, and Members of the Red, Blue, White, Black, Purple, and Green were disgusted by the construction of this underground palace (secret hideout). The place was so ugly, hard to breathe, and everything was just too narrowed which made it hard for over three thousand people to move around.

“Is this a place that was built for humans to live?” One of the Executioners of the Green asked.

No one answered him, but they all agreed. This was not a place built for humans to live. It is amazing how those Blood Mages can live in a place such as this.

“Wait, something isn’t right. Where are all the Blood Mages? We have been walking for more than ten minutes but none of them were located anywhere here.” Lord Bohdan Brish said.

“Dona, cast [Wind Detection] spell to see where the enemies were hiding at.” Bohdan pointed at one of the Master-tier Wind Mages, she is a Member of the Green, and commanded her to do it. Dona casted [Wind Detection] spell as commanded but then a loud explosion occurred on her right hand. A Master-tier female Light Mage quickly casted [Minor Healing] spell to help that female Wind Mage heal her injuries.

“What is going on?” Bohdan asked the female Wind Mage.

“There is an unknown force preventing me from casting [Wind Detection] spells. I don’t know what kind of power this is.” She answered in a trembling voice.

“So useless. I will do it myself.” Bohdan yelled at the female Wind Mage as he casted [Wind Detection] spell and the same thing happened to him. A bigger explosion occurred on his left hand which prevented him from casting it. Bohdan tried again with his right hand and the same thing happened to his right hand. The Master-tier female Light Mage quickly casted [Minor Healing] to help him heal his injuries.

“This… no way. Someone here is strong enough to casted some kind of unknown spell that could prevent me from casting a magic spell. Who can possess such power?” Bohdan asked while looking at other Lords.

Bohdan Brish is a level 90 Saint Wind Mage. He had never experienced such a powerful force that could prevent a mighty magic caster such as himself from casting magic. Bohdan casted [Wind Walk] spell to experiment if the explosion is going to befall on his hand again or not but he successfully casted it without any problem. Bohdan deactivated the [Wind Walk] spell and casted [Whispering Wind] spell attempting to hear movements from the enemies but another explosion occurred on his right hand again preventing him from activating it. The same Master-tier female Light Mage once again casted [Minor Healing] on Bohdan.

Bohdan said, “I understand now. There must be some kind of powerful Magical Equipment that can prevent [Whispering Wind] and [Wind Detection] spells from being casted. This was why all other magic spells won’t have any problem activating except for just those two. No wonder why none of our Executioners found the location of the Blood Mages Guild before.”

They walked deeper into the Blood Mages Guild’s underground palace and eventually reached the meeting hall. Only one person was sitting on the Throne of the meeting hall and he didn’t seem to be surprised to see them here. The man smiled in happiness and greeted them, “Welcome to my Blood Mages Guild. My name is Etgar Revenmar, and I will be your Grim Reaper for today.”

Lord Fasketel was annoyed at being looked down on by Etgar, he asked in an irritated tone, “Are you the Guild Master of this Blood Mages Guild?”

“Indeed, I am. There is only one Blood Mages Guild, and I am the one who created it.” Etgar continued to smile as he mockingly answered Wrenn’s question.

“Do you know who I am?”

“Lord Wrenn Fasketel of the Red. You should have thanked me. If it wasn’t for me, Vonda Hardy would still be alive. You can sit on the Throne as the new Lord of the Red, it was because of me.”

“You know who I am and yet you still dare to disrespect me. I’m sure you know how powerful I am, aren’t you?”

“Wow… Are you that powerful? Then why are you hesitating to attack me when I’m all by myself. Come on. Come and attack me, I dare you.”

“Are you really the only one here?”

“Of course. Why would I allow my Guild Members to waste their energy on a bunch of dying shits, like you guys.” Etgar continued to smile as he mocked them.

“Lord Fasketel, something isn’t right. No matter how strong he is, he can’t be sure of defeating all of us by himself. This could be a trap. You must be very careful.” Lord Larissa Krasnaia whispered into Wrenn’s ear.

“I agreed. Send some of your Saint-tier Members to fight first to see how he is going to react.”

Lord Krasnaia commanded twenty Saint-tier magic casters, Members of the Black to attack Etgar. The weakest Saint-tier Member she brought is level 72 and the strongest Saint-tier Member is level 91. Twenty Saint-tier Black Mages activated [Demon Anatomy V] to transform themselves into flying demons that wore full platinum plate armors covered from heads to toes while having flaming auras. Their choice of weapons was various from spears, swords, greatswords, hammers, lances, even scythes. Some of them then activated [Aura Adjustment] spells to change their flaming aura into either icy, earthen, lightened, thundering, or windy auras. They nodded at each other signaling to attack at the same time and immediately flew toward Etgar.

Etgar activated [Abyssal Flesh] spell combined with [Vampire Lord Transmutation] spell to transform himself into a Flesh Vampire Lord Monster. Without casting any other magic spell, Etgar flew toward the twenty Saint Black Mages and fought with them physically. Despite repeatedly receiving major injuries from the Saint Black Mages attacks, Etgar’s instantly healed himself through the passive ability of the [Abyssal Flesh] as he fought them back showing no sign of backing down. A level 72 male Saint Black Mage casted his self-created Saint-tier Black Magic spell named [Curse of Slow] and attempted to slow Etgar down to kill him easier.

Etgar’s [Sanguine Tide] spell combined with [Bloodlust] spell immediately dispelled the [Curse of Slow] and no effect was placed on him. Etgar got a little excited, he flew closer to that Saint Black Mage and casted [Vampiric Clench] to choke him through his telekinesis power. Etgar said in a confident tone, “I was enjoying the physical strength fight until this idiot interrupted it. Do you want to compare magical power that bad? Then let me grant you a painful death.” Etgar activated [Enclosing] spell combined with [Bloodlust] spell to seal that Saint Black Mage and himself inside a small circular magical barrier to prevent anyone from coming in or coming out while continued choking that magic caster using his [Vampiric Clench]. After that Saint Black Mage stopped breathing, Etgar broke his neck before deactivated [Enclosing] and threw his corpse on the ground to set as an example.
