Book 2: Chapter 8 (2/9)

Jaane thought to herself, “There are at least five thousand warriors dispatched to help the villagers evacuating, but none of them have survived. Should I go check other villages or should I follow the trail these goblins left behind to find the location of their tribe?”

After a quick second of thinking, Jaane decided to trail the goblins to kill them before they can attack any other village. Worst case scenario, they have already raided some other villages so it is still better to exterminate them than wasting time checking on nearby villages. Jaane followed the goblins’ trails and after six hours of walking, she reached the gate of a goblins’ village.

Jaane took time to carefully examine the goblins’ village and thought to herself, “This goblin tribe is bigger than Faila Cuttlescar has reported. Was it the same village or there is another goblin tribe nearby? This goblins' village is estimated to have more than twenty thousand goblins. At my current level, I shouldn’t have any problem dealing with them and the ten red goblins. If there is a stronger goblin that was being guarded by the red goblins, the defense advantages of Earth Magic will allow me to escape unscathed.”

Thinking so, Jaane started chanting for [Earth Blast] and Earthquake] spells as she walked closer to the goblins’ village. Goblins use their own language and very few of them know how to speak human. But as soon as they saw Jaane, some of them shrieked out loud in their language and started charging toward her. Jaane casted [Earth Blast] spell toward the goblins that were charging toward her and numerous rock projectors were created in mid-air then shot toward them. Fifty, a hundred, two hundred, five hundred, a thousand goblins were dead within five minutes duration and none of them can even come close to Jaane.

A goblin appeared to be giving out an order as he squealed out very loud. Five thousand goblins spread out then charged toward Jaane in all directions. Jaane smiled in exhilaration because this was the moment she was waiting for as she activated the [Earthquake] spell to kill them all. Just less than ten minutes and six thousand goblins were already killed. Approximately fourteen thousand goblins retreated deeper into their village as Jaane continued approaching.

Suddenly an ice spear created by the [Ice Spear] spell flew toward Jaane. Jaane quickly activated [Stone Skin] and the ice spear melted upon making contact with her and it left no damage on her skin. “It seems like there are goblins who can cast magic spells in this tribe.“ Jaane thought to herself as she continued walking deeper into the village.

Approximately a minute later, Jaane could see at least ten other ice spears were flying toward her. She calmly kept on walking as those weak magic spells wouldn’t hold a candle to her [Stone Skin]. As Jaane had thought, those ice spears couldn’t cause any damage to her after they melted upon touching her skin. Jaane casted [Earthen Hawk] spell to create a hawk from the ground. Earthen Hawk has physical strength on par with a sixth-tier warrior and it can cast [Earth Blast] spell. Because of Jaane’s current level, the physical strength of her Earthen Hawk scaled to be on par with an eighth-tier warrior. And the magical power from the [Earth Blast] spells that the Earthen Hawk use was also scaled to be on par with a level 30 magic caster.

Jaane commanded her Earthen Hawk to hunt down whoever casted [Ice Spear] spells toward her and execute them on the spot. Approximately twenty seconds later, Jaane could hear someone screamed out loud then no more [Ice Spear] spell was casted toward her again. The Earthen Hawk flew back to Jaane shortly after that.

Unlike summoned and conjured creatures, Earthen Hawk was created using magic so it wasn’t an actual creature. The Earthen Hawk couldn’t communicate or transfer its feeling to Jaane but she could have guessed that it had killed the annoying magic caster that was casting [Ice Spear] spell toward her. Jaane continued walking deeper into the goblins’ village while having her Earthen Hawk hunt down any goblins on sight.

The Earthen Hawk was busy casting [Earth Blast] spells toward the goblins when a Red Goblin suddenly appeared and killed it in one sword slash. The Red Goblin carefully observed Jaane then shouted out in goblin language then nine other Red Goblins appeared out of all directions as they surrounded her. One of the Red Goblins asked, “Why are you attacking us, human?”

Jaane wasn’t surprised seeing a Red Goblin could speak human language. Magical Creatures can live for a really long time but goblins aren't magical creatures. Green Goblin can only live up to two hundred years old while Red Goblin can only live up to two thousand years old unless they can reach Saint-tier Warrior to live indefinitely. Even having a short life span compared to Magical Creatures, some goblins have enough intelligence to learn to speak the human language.

Jaane answered the Red Goblin that was asking her, “Why were your Green Goblins attacking the human villages near Vucran city? If your tribe didn’t bother our human villages, then I wouldn’t have to be here.”

“They were in the way.”

“What do you mean that they were in the way? Those villages were built for hundreds of thousands of years already.”

“Our King is about to be descended into this world. We needed to clear out those human villages so it won’t be in the way of welcoming him.”

“A small goblin tribe destroyed human villages that could anger an entire country containing more than ten billion population. Is it worth it?”

“Once the King arrives with his army, your country won’t be able to survive. Nevermind, he is finally here. Behold, Lunthus the Great!”

Behind the Red Goblin was a portal that had been opened for quite some time. The Red Goblin laughed when it saw a big Purple Goblin walking through. The portal didn’t close after that, but thousands and thousands of Blue Goblins followed. Green goblins are considered to be the weakest because their strength is on par compared to fifth-tier warriors. Blue goblins are stronger compared to green goblins because their strength is on par when compared to seventh-tier warriors. Red goblins are incredibly strong because their strength is on par compared to tenth-tier warriors.

Some goblins possessed Elemental Soul that allows them to cast magic spells but their magic isn’t worth mentioning because no goblin in the history of Toria Continents could have advanced into Master-tier in magic casting anyway. Purple Goblin is on a different level as they have advanced into Saint-tier Warrior. Green, Blue, and Red Goblins are about four feet in height and weighed approximately a hundred pounds. The Purple Goblin is bigger compared to other goblins because he is five feet six inches and weighed about one hundred fifty (150) pounds. Despite being bigger in size, the Purple Goblin was still an inch shorter compared to Jaane Almos.
