Book 2: Chapter 5 (7/8)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
Duchess Graylock asked, “Your Grace, how many of those creatures can you conjure at a time?”

Noe did a quick calculation and said, “Just a few.”

“A few of those creatures? That could kill at least fifty thousand troops of the Demi-Humans’ army.”

“I suppose so.”

“Lord, would you please conjure some more creatures like that? Let them massacre the enemies, the more the better.”

“I am here to assist you, Duchess Graylock. But I won’t fight the war for you. Nonetheless, as long as I am here, those beasts won’t manage to get inside this city.”

Eight days later. After finding out sixty million troops from Lylnesle led by Great General Olyver Waelvor arrived at Guruchi city instead of Slu. General Lupoid Gelt held an emergency meeting with three other Generals and they gave the command for their sixty million troops to launch a full-scale attack toward all four gates of Slu city.

Duchess Graylock scratched her head while cursing at Lord Clerico after receiving the report from her soldiers that all four gates were being attacked, “Watcher damn you, Noe Clerico! If Slu city falls, Ehweiler and Guruchi will eventually fall! You know nothing of military warfare therefore you shouldn’t have interfered in the Grand Duke’s decision in the first place. Damn you!”

Another soldier ran in to report while Sybell was still cursing at Noe when he wasn't there, “Duchess Graylock, Lord Noe Clerico of the Gray is here to see you.”

“He still dares to come to see me? Alright, let him in.”

Noe walked in with his head held high and said, “Duchess Graylock-”

“Lord, I hate to interrupt you. But our city is facing a major invasion from the Demi-Humans and I am afraid your chit-chat won’t be needed at this time.”

“Hoh? You seem to be upset. Are you mad at me?” Noe asked with a smile on his face.

“I wouldn’t dare to be mad at you, Your Grace. I was upset at the idiot Grand Duke for listening to someone who doesn’t have any experience in military warfare.” Sybell answered in a disrespectful tone while grinding her teeth.

Noe laughed out loud and said, “Hahaha…. Just sixty million Demi-Humans and you already freaking out? I came here to offer you my assistance. Like I have told you before. As long as I am here, those beasts won’t manage to get inside this city.”

Standing in the middle of Slu city, Lord Clerico casted [Conjure Golden Skeleton Warrior] two thousand times to conjure two thousand Golden Skeleton Warriors. Each Golden Skeleton Warrior had the physical strength compared to the First Stage Saint Warrior. Not stopping there, Noe then casted [Conjure Horse Riding Phantom Knight] a hundred times. Each Horse Riding Phantom Knight had the physical strength on par if compared to the Fourth Stage Saint Warrior. Not done yet, Noe casted [Conjure Flaming Ice Golem] ten times to conjured ten Flaming Ice Golem that had the physical strength on par with a Seventh Stage Saint Warrior.

“That should be enough to take care of the ground battle. For all the flying troops the enemy has, I think Rilloc can handle it.” Thinking so, Lord Clerico casted [Conjure Rilloc] to conjure a Giant Thunder Eagle standing a thousand feet tall.

Lord Clerico then gave out the commands to his conjured creatures, “My conjured creatures listen carefully. It is time for you to massacre the enemies and leave no one alive!”

Two thousand Golden Skeleton Warriors split up into four groups, each group contained five hundred Skeletons. They split up to attack enemies in four different directions of North, South, East, and West. Similar to the Skeletons, the Horse Riding Phantom Knights split into four groups with each group having twenty-five Phantom Knights to attack enemies in four directions. Rilloc flew around Slu city's perimeter to attack any flying Demi-Humans that dared to come within one mile of the city using the airway. Because of the [Teleportation] spell, Rilloc could easily teleport from North to South to East to West in an instant. Therefore, the enemy's flying troops won't have any chance to enter Slu city using the airway.

Duchess Graylock and her soldiers opened their mouths widely seeing these many creatures were conjured at once by just one Conjurer Mage. Sybell thought about how disrespectful she was earlier toward such an amazing magic caster and felt scared.

“Is this how powerful the Mages Council is? Just one Saint Conjurer Mage can push back an entire army containing sixty million troops? I wonder how strong the Lords of other Colors are going to be. Lord of Red, Blue, Purple, Brown, White, and Black. If they teamed up together, aren’t they powerful enough to destroy any nation on the world map? I better watch my mouth against such powerful beings from now on if I still wanted to sit on the Grand Duke’s throne.” Sybell thought to herself.

Little did Duchess Graylock know, besides Lord Kath Donoghan of the Brown, no other Lords in the Mages Council could be compared to Lord Noe Clerico of the Gray.

Noe winked at Sybell before he jumped from the East wall down to the battlefield.

"Lord, what are you doing? Guards, open the East gate! Assist Lord-" Before Duchess Graylock could finish given the command, she saw one powerful punch from Lord Clerico that instantly killed at least five Demi-Humans.

"Stop! Don't open the gate. Lord Clerico is also a warrior, he can take care of himself." Sybell told her soldiers. "What kind of madness power is this? Isn't he just a Conjurer Mage? Why does he also possess such a powerful physical strength? He doesn't even use a weapon but only uses his hands to block the attacks from the enemies. Is he using Monk Warrior specialization? Isn't that specialization could only be used by the Demi-Humans? What on earth is going on?" Duchess Graylock continuously asks herself those questions while watching Lord Clerico play the hero.

"If I have a husband like that... The Grand Duke's position doesn't seem to be too far anymore." Sybell thought to herself.

Nine hours later. On the Demi-Humans' side. General Lupoid Gelt yelled out loud, “Stop them! Stop those Skeletons! Don’t let them come near me!”

More than five thousand Lupoid’s personal bodyguards held back ten Golden Skeleton Warriors while he ran away. But then he heard the sound of a horse approaching from behind, Lupoid rolled over to the side while drawing out his battle axes to defend a sword slashed from the Horse Riding Phantom Knight.

“I told you last time that either you cut your head down and give it to me, or I will chop your head off by force.” The Phantom Knight said.

“You again?” Lupoid asked in a surprising tone.
