Book 2: Chapter 3 (7/7)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
The Demi-Humans have lost more than forty million troops in the battle of Grod city. It’s a price they must pay before continuing to advance further into the Shota Empire. One thing for sure, several next cities won’t have more than ten million troops stationed so taking them don’t won’t be this hard. An hour later, Ateia led her one hundred million troops back toward Grod city thinking Queen Fellmirr had successfully persuaded her people. Ateia was shocked when she saw Queen Fellmirr’s head was found placed on a pike placed in front of ten million human warriors.

A male human General named Drannor Elian said, “This bitch Kavrala Fellmirr dared to ask us to become slaves so she can continue to rule as the Queen. Such a selfish bitch! We rather die than surrender to the Demi-Humans! Brave warriors of the Shota Empire, take down as many enemies as you can!”

Drannor Elian, First Stage Saint Warrior. He served Great General Nambra Furivel for more than fifty thousand years. Drannor saw how Nambra sacrificed her life to save Grod city and was determined to fight until he died to protect this city in her name. But when Drannor heard Queen Fellmirr wanted him and his warriors to surrender, he couldn’t hold back his anger and cut her head off.

The rain started pouring down without any kind of warning. Ateia shook her head and said, “Even the Watcher doesn't support the human for their stupidity. Do they realize what they have done can cost more than four hundred million people in this city to be killed? Not just this city, but all the cities ruled by Queen Fellmirr will probably share the same fate. If they don’t care about their own people, why should I?”

Rain can help Demi-Humans recover their stamina much faster. Ateia then gave the commands for a hundred million warriors to massacre everyone who dares to fight against the Demi-Humans in Grod city. Three hours later, all ten million human warriors were killed, along with more than two hundred million citizens who dared to fight back were massacred. The other two hundred million citizens surrendered and agreed to be slaves to the Demi-Humans. Ateia appointed a Human Lord to watch over the slaves then dispatched two million troops and escorted them back to Muccula city, A Demi-Humans city near the border between the Dryardian Empire and the Shota Empire.

After taking care of business at Grod city, Ateia went back to speak with Emperor Acilianus. At the Emperor’s tent, Ateia said, “Emperor Acilianus, I have disappointed you. I could only enslave roughly two hundred million humans in this city.”

Lucius nodded his head in acknowledgment and said, “Two hundred million are much less than I have expected. But still, I'm sure you have tried your best. Have you sent them to Muccula city?”

“Yes, my Emperor.”

“Good. Just leave this city open and don’t occupy it for now. We will take advantage of the rain and continue heading for Megrigud city.”

“Yes, my dear Emperor.”

Inside the Magical Dungeon. Kain conjured a Fire Demon and commanded it to use [Flame] to generate some lights because it was like walking into a very dark cave where no sunlight could have shone through. Kain still has his [Conjure Ice Gargoyle] spells in his ready-to-cast list and as soon as he senses danger, five Ice Gargoyles will be conjured to assist him. After walking for over twenty minutes, Kain saw lights coming from ahead and rushed toward it.

“A room?” Kain asked himself as he saw a big room filled with candles. Kain wanted to walk around to explore the room but then he heard a voice behind him.

“Welcome, rai....der? Just you?”

Kain turned around and saw a red-haired teenage girl with purple butterfly wings on her back. After confirming the girl wasn’t being hostile against him, Kain nodded his head and answered, “Just me.”

“Raider, this is a Dungeon rated with difficulty seven. At least four tenth-tier warriors and/or four Legend-tier magic casters are recommended.”

“Uh-huh, recommended, not required, yea?”

“Yes.”

“Alright, I’m going to raid this Dungeon by myself.”

“As you wish. My name is Iris, and I am the Guardian of this Timeless Dungeon.”

“Timeless Dungeon? What is that?”

“One year in this Dungeon is equal to one hour in Toria Continents.”

“Hoh? I have never heard of any Dungeon like that.”

“The chance of encountering a Timeless Dungeon is one in a million. You are very lucky, raider. The last solo magic caster from Toria Continents that joined a Timeless Dungeon with the difficulty rated four was Gwenn Bigham. This Dungeon is a difficulty rated seven, I highly recommend you to find a party of at least four members then come back to continue.”

Kain thought to himself, "Gwenn Bigham? Isn't that the name of the Holy Mage who rules the Mages Council? Ah, so this is the big secret on how she advanced into level 100 when she is roughly over twenty thousand years old."

“Nah, just me. I’m ready to start.” Kain remained confident in his ability that he can solo this Dungeon.

Iris sighed lightly then continued, “There are fifteen tiers in this Dungeon. If you can complete all fifteen tiers, a Soul Advancement will be granted.”

“Fifteen tiers? Other Dungeons only have five tiers. Soul Advancement? I have never heard of this.”

“From what I have known, there are two people who received Soul Advancements and still resided in Toria Continents. Gwenn Bigham was one of them.”

“Who is the other?”

“Noe Clerico.”

“Beautiful Iris, would you please explain to me better what is Soul Advancement?” Kain doesn’t know what Soul Advancement is but just hearing Noe Clerico and Gwenn Bigham received Soul Advancements has made him want to learn more about it.

“First, let me test your Elemental Soul.”

Iris casted some kind of unknown spell toward Kain. Three seconds later, three energy balls were extracted from Kain’s head. A dark red energy ball, a black energy ball, and a gray energy ball. Iris examined it then said, “Blood, Black, and Conjuration Magic. Hmm… I have never met any human from Toria Continents that can use three different types of Magic.”

“Uh… thank you?” Kain observed Iris’s facial expression and it doesn’t seem like she cares that he is a Blood Mage.

“Okay, let me explain it this way. Soul Advancement will grant an Ultimate Saint-tier Spell for one of your Souls. If you choose advancement for Blood Soul, then you can be able to use [Vampire Emperor Transmutation]. For Black Soul, you will be able to use [Devil Anatomy]. And for Conjurer Soul, you will be able to use [Necromancy]. These Ultimate Saint-tier Spells can only be granted. Not to be learned or self-created. Hmm… I sensed physical strength equally strong compared to a tenth-tier warrior coming from you too. You can also pick an advancement in warrior class as well.”

“Warrior can advance into another class? Did you mean like the Demi-Humans in Toria Continents?”

“Yes. There are Paladin, Dragon Knight, Berserker, Assassin, Skirmisher, Dark Knight, Warlord, Barbarian, and more warrior classes.”

“Interesting. Can I become a Dragon Knight too?”

“You are not a Dragon-kin. Therefore Dragon Knight can’t be granted to you.”
