Aber asked, “Sister Violet? I thought you were leaving.”

“You know that I can’t leave you here. Agghh!!! Why do you have to be so stubborn?”

“I can’t become the lord of Blue in the future if I run away from the battle of today. I have to fight, Sister Violet.”

“Then I will help you. We will either survive or die together!”

Aber was about to cast [Freeze] on the female Blood Fire Mage to help Violet and the ninth-tier warrior easier to defeat her. But then out of nowhere, a powerful [Force Punch] was suddenly casted toward Aber. Aber’s Ice Guardian casted [Ice Barrier] on time to help him block the [Force Punch].

This upset Aber a little, he looked around while asking, “Who was that?”

Approximately thirty feet away, a shadow figure started to exhibit itself. It was the masked Blood Mage that managed to summon Chemosh, Demon Lord of the Fourth Gate. Aber asked, “Were you the one who just casted [Force Punch] toward me? I saw you ran away like a stray dog earlier when you were fighting with Sir Raulnor. You have lost your honor for running away.”

Kain laughed when he heard Aber mentioned honor. Why do many people care about honor? This is a war, not a duel. But knowing Aber will probably give him some stupid answers, Kain decided to not ask him that. Kain said, “Aber Hardy, I have been waiting for this moment since the war started. You and I, one versus one, here, and now.”

“I’m surprised that you know who I am. Then you must know how strong I am, don’t you? I saw you have successfully summoned the Demon Lord Chemosh earlier. Perhaps that could have drained all of your mana pool. Do you still think that you are having enough mana left to fight me?”

“I am a Blood Mage. Did you forget that?”

“Ah. that’s right. Blood Mages use human blood to cast magic spells.”

“Yes, any more questions?”

“No, thank you for talking with me this long to give me enough time to prepare.”

Aber casted [Freeze] spell on Kain then casted [Ice Spear] twenty times and commanded them to attack. Kain knew Aber was buying time and allowed him to buy as much time as he needed to prepare. Kain smirked as he activated [Bloodlust] then casted [Sanguine Tide] to dispel the [Freeze] spell and all twenty Ice Spears there were flying toward him. This had caused the blood pool of Kain’s Blood Pendant depleted. Kain took out his two Blood Daggers and tapped into their blood pool using [Infused Blood].

Kain smiled and asked, “I’m sure you have recognized me now, right?”

Aber nodded and said, “I know who you are. At Flumen city three years ago, a masked Blood Mage who had rescued a female Blood Mage that can use Wind Magic and the three years old girl who was born with a Twin Soul. I’m sure that masked Blood Mage was you, am I correct?”

“Yes, that is me.”

“I wondered why you are the only Blood Mage that wears a mask. Is it because you are too ugly to face the other?”

“It was the opposite. I am too handsome and wouldn’t want a Shit Head like you to get jealous.”

“Shit Head? Only one person called me by this name before. You are… no. Kain Almos was just a weak Conjurer Mage. You are a Blood Black Mage.”

Kain lunged toward Aber with his daggers but Violet withdrew her sword and slashed it at Kain. The moment her sword was about to touch Kain, he casted [Vampiric Swarm] and flew through her.

“Ice Guardian, cast [Ice Barrier] on my sister now!” Aber screamed when he realized what Kain was about to do. However, instead of casting the [Ice Barrier] spell on Violet, the Ice Guardian was forced to cast [Ice Barrier] on itself. Aber wanted to cast the [Ice Barrier] spell on his sister, but it was too late. Violet was killed by Kain’s daggers.

Violet thought Kain was going to attack her using [Vampiric Swarm] and she had no problem countering it. But when Kain flew through her, he immediately transformed into a human-size demon using [Demon Anatomy I] and stabbed Violet in the neck using both of his Blood Daggers. Violet is a tenth-tier warrior but she never had an actual life and death battle experience. Kain knew the Ice Guardian would interfere so he casted [Force Punch] toward the Ice Guardian and forced it to cast the [Ice Barrier] spell on itself to block. After the Blood Daggers sucked all blood out from Violet’s body, it flew back into Kain’s hands after he chanted for the secret codes.

Kain’s Blood Daggers are soul-class weapons. The soul-class weapon can be bound to the wielder’s Elemental Soul through a blood pact to acknowledge its wielder as the master. When the master chants for the secret codes, the soul-class weapon will fly back into its master’s hand. However, a soul-class weapon can only be used by magic casters, not warriors. Soul-class weapons are not rare in Toria Continents but rarely anyone uses them because the wielders who had soul-class weapons bound to them won’t be able to use any other type of weapon. They can touch or carry any weapon they want but their hands will burn the moment they try to use other weapons. Each soul-class weapon had a secret code that was only revealed to their master. If another person somehow figured out the secret code, he/she can use it to break the soul-bound link between the soul-class weapon and its master. If the soul-bond link was broken, the former master of the soul-class weapon will receive tremendous soul damage backlash which was unavoidable and strong enough to kill a level 100 Saint Mage.

“Sister Violet!” Aber screamed in rage but there was no response left from Violet. She is now just a corpse.

“How dare you!?” Aber asked in anger while he casted [Death Frost] toward Kain. With the power boost from [Bloodlust], Kain’s [Sanguine Tide] could easily dispel Aber’s [Death Frost].

“How dare I? Hahaha…” Kain laughed out loud like a madman.

Some vampires were just finished killing a magic caster and two warriors, they flew toward Aber attempted to attack him but Kain said, “Leave him, he is mine.” The vampires looked at Kain for two seconds, acknowledged him as an ally, then flew away.
