Chapter 10: (5/10)

Name:Twin Soul Author:Zskyph
Princess Sarra was mad about how Arthur dared to ignore her but she won't allow her emotion to get in the way of her thinking. Sarra put on her innocent face, approached Arthur again while Kain was speaking with Principal Bellas, and said, "Sir Arthur, I wanted to host a small dinner to personally congratulate you on your victory today."

"My apology, Princess. Kain and I already have a plan."

"Alright fine… he can come too."

"Princess, you have misunderstood. Kain and I have more important stuff to do. Excuse me."

After walking out of the Mages' Academy of Ganarion, Kain asked, "It seems like the Princess is really into you. You are being a little harsh on her. She is still just a teenager."

"She planned to kill her brother for a chance to inherit the throne. I don't want anything to do with such a female."

Kain sighed lightly and said, "If you see it from her point of view, you may understand why she has planned to do such a hideous thing. This world is cruel, Arthur. The fantasy world of unicorns and fairy tales don't exist in Toria Continents. Princess Sarra lost her mother and brother at the same time. Her father married someone else and that stepmother gave birth to a half brother that may not even be her blood brother at all. The throne will be inherited by a stranger who doesn't possess the royal blood. She had no ally. No one dares to assist her. Deep down in my heart, I'm kinda looking toward you to help a distressed girl such as Princess Sarra. You are her only chance, Arthur Castillon."

"You didn't mean it, did you, Kain?" Arthur opened his mouth widely waiting for Kain to answer.

"F**k no. F**k that crazy bitch.” Kain coolly answered.

Kain and Arthur left the Mages’ Academy of Ganarion together and got back to their hotel rooms. Meanwhile, Kain’s Second Soul was following Admon Pashar to the safehouse to find Ariana Bellet. Kain and his Second Soul can act separately but they are still one. Kain didn’t want his Second Soul to lose focus and get ambushed while following Admon Pashar, that was why he decided it was better to go back to the hotel room then locked the room to meditate while his Second Soul could focus one hundred percent just in case there was an actual ambush waiting. If Kain’s Second Soul gets killed, he will die as well. Kain had tested this before but by cutting the Second Soul’s hand using a dagger, the same injuries also appeared on Kain’s hand.

Two days later, big news arrived in Ganarion city delivered by Colonel Olwain Calaudra. Colonel Calaudra led five thousand (5,000) warriors to assist Lieutenant Colonel Admon Pashar to rescue the villagers of the village located twenty miles to the North of Simyfabelle city. At the time Colonel Calaudra arrived at the camps set up by Lieutenant Colonel Pashar, three thousand (3,000) warriors led by Lord Glint Klorda were already there. All they saw were leftovers of most eaten dead bodies of the Seventh Battalion warriors and it seems like they have put up a great fight for their life but no dead body of the enemy was found. Furthermore, there were no bandits found in the village. No one in the village knew who the old woman named Omara Talavir was.

Several days later. Inside Kain’s hotel room, Arthur and Kain were eating lunch. Arthur asked, “Kain, what do you think about the massacre of the Seventh Battalion?”

Kain answered, “Who cares? This is not our country. We are here for a quest and we have finished it. After Avery Dorinshyl and her family are ready to leave, we will sail back to the Commonwealth of Krorg.”

“Perhaps you are right. Do what we can, not what we must, right?”

“Yup.”

While they were talking to each other, Lyfalia Immeril walked into Kain’s room and said, “Kain, I needed to talk to you. Arthur, leave us.”

“Yes, Executioner Immeril.”

After Arthur left, Lyfalia asked, “What did I tell you about interfering with my business here in the Nalas Kingdom?”

Kain answered in a respectful tone, “I don’t think I understand what you mean, Executioner Immeril.”

“What have you done to the Mages’ Academy of Ganarion? They are spending time changing everything I have done for the past two hundred years.”

“Ah, about that. You have nothing to worry about, Executioner Immeril. As soon as I leave this country, they will go back to the way they were.”

“How can you be so certain of that?”

“Because you are here, and you will find a way to turn them back to the way they were before I came.”

“You!”

“In a way to put it, I have done you a favor, Executioner Immeril.”

“Eh..? How so?”

“Because now we can report back to the Mages Council that there was a small problem with the Mages’ Academy of Ganarion and we have fixed it. Bringing back a talented Conjurer Mage to the Gray will better prove our point. You can continue to manipulate this country without worrying the Mages Council would send another group for inspection.”

“They won’t send anyone else. The reason they sent you and your little friend here was that some of our Guild Members in the Mages Council pulled some strings for you to have a chance of personally avenge.”

“And for that, I thank the Guild.”

“You better hope that the Mages’ Academy of Ganarion will go back to the way it was or-”

“Believe me, it will.”

“Hmm, next question. How did you kill the Seventh Battalion while you are still here? I didn’t receive any report of you leaving Ganarion city.”

“I sent my Second Soul to handle it.”

“Second Soul?”

“Yes.”

“What is the Second Soul?” Lyfalia asked.

Kain thought to himself, “She doesn’t know about the Second Soul? If that was the case, it means the Guild Master didn’t explain to her. He must have his reason. I won’t explain it to her as well.”

Kain said, “The Guild Master will explain to you when the time comes.”

“Sigh… you dare to keep it a secret from me? You better watch out, Kain. I will take my leave now.”

After Lyfalia left the room, Arthur walked in and asked, “What did she talk to you about?”

“She wanted me to let you know that you suck.”

“Very funny… Come on, what did you guys talk about?”

“She asked me to give a message to Executioner Bodwyn when I get back to the Commonwealth of Krorg. This is a private message, I can’t reveal it.”

“Why can’t she give it to me? I would have given it to Executioner Bodwyn too.”

“Like I have said because you suck.”
