"Geez, your sweet words won't work!"

The air temperature in the car was already cold. As time went by, the sweat that had filled their temples and almost made Lisa's hair stick to the back of her neck had gone.

"I'm not teasing you, Lisa. I'm telling the truth!" Oscar replied with a wide smile, looking happy.

Lisa cleared her throat and went back to enjoying her sandwich. "Whatever."

Before the sandwich was finished, Lisa's stomach suddenly felt full. She put the sandwich wrapper back into the paper bag and handed it over to Oscar. She then took a tissue and wiped the corners of her lips.

"Ouch, I'm already full..."

At first, Oscar was confused by Lisa's answer. He knew the woman must haven't had any lunch before he came earlier. But suddenly, he remembered the reason why Lisa canceled their lunch together. She must have eaten with her 'client'.

Having such thoughts made Oscar finally take the paper bag from Lisa's hand. He unwrapped the sandwich and devoured the rest of the woman's leftovers.

"That's my leftover..." Lisa said while looking at the bread in Oscar's hand. "You don't feel disgusted at all…?"

Oscar continued to chew on the sandwich and replied, "You're my lover, you were my ex-wife too. Why should I feel disgusted?"

"Ugh, it's up to you." Lisa replied slowly. She put the used tissue into the paper bag. For a few seconds, neither of them made a sound. Lisa sat dumbfounded, occasionally looking at Oscar. Meanwhile, the man finally finished Lisa's sandwich.

Suddenly, Lisa turned and asked, "Aren't you curious who the client I met earlier was?"

Hearing Lisa's question made Oscar turn around with his cheeks still puffy from chewing the sandwich. The man swallowed what was in his mouth then answered.

"Who was it? At the very least… it must be my mother, right?" Oscar replied casually.

At that second Lisa was surprised when she heard Oscar's reply. She was originally looking at the street but turned quickly and saw the man's face with her eyes widened in shock.

"How did you know!? Did I tell you earlier?" Lisa asked in disbelief.

Does this man have the ability to read minds?

Did her posture and facial expression seem to say that she had just met and had an argument with Greta? Or could it be that there's a piece of paper stuck on her forehead that said 'Done Talking With Greta' written in all caps?

From the start, Oscar actually knew that the client Lisa was referring to was Greta, his biological mother. Oscar had known Lisa long enough to know whether she was telling the truth or lying to his face. Just like now.

If the woman did go out to eat with a client, Lisa would usually tell him what the client's name was.

That's why Oscar suddenly came and brought her flowers and sandwiches to cheer her up.

"Is there something you want to say to me?" Oscar finally asked. "There must be something important you want to tell me."

Lisa averted her gaze, "Nothing. It's the same as usual, she kept saying she would forbid our relationship, blah blah."

"Oh."

"Oh?" Lisa replied, looking offended. "Just oh? No other response or are you that dense?"

"What other response should I give you? Besides, I also believe that if there is something bothering you, you will definitely tell me." Oscar replied casually. He crumpled the plastic wrap of the sandwich and tossed it in a paper bag and continued.

"I trust you, Lisa."

At a time like this, Lisa kept wondering about what she did in the past now that she landed someone like Oscar? A rich, kind, compassionate man and most importantly, the man always believed in her.

Things like these made Lisa want to try to improve herself even better.

Hearing his answer made Lisa smile faintly, "Thank you for trusting me."

For the next few moments, Lisa and Oscar chatted, filling the silence of the car. They didn't want to leave each other.

In the middle of their conversation, Lisa suddenly remembered her work which was still piled up on the table. She glanced at the clock on the dashboard and saw that it was half past five in the afternoon.

"Oh my…!" Lisa said in shock, then she took her tote bag and said, "I have to go! Thanks for bringing me lunch."

When Lisa wanted to get out of the car, Oscar locked the door. It suddenly made her turn her head and see Oscar moving his clutch from the wheel, then not long after, the man stepped on the gas.

"Where are we going?" Lisa asked curiously.

Oscar put his left hand behind the back of Lisa's seat and turned his head to look behind him. Still looking back, Oscar turned the steering wheel and their car finally pulled into the middle of the highway.

"Let's have lunch together," Oscar said, glancing at Lisa, "To replace our failed lunch earlier."

Hearing Oscar's reply made Lisa smile widely. She immediately put on her seatbelt while shaking her head, "You…. ugh, I already told you that my stomach is still full, then why are you even inviting me to have lunch together? Drop me off now, I still have a lot of work in the office!"

"Then why are you wearing a seat belt?" Oscar tease.

Oscar's question left Lisa speechless. What Oscar said was also true. If she didn't want the man to take her to lunch, why would she wear a seatbelt and now straighten her back as if she's ready to go?

Then, Oscar kept stepping on the gas and had no sign of stopping at the nearest diner. The man seemed as if he already knew where he should take Lisa to lunch.

About 20 minutes later, until Lisa almost fell asleep, Oscar's car stopped at the dining area that looked luxurious and also grand.

Above the entrance was a bright red neon sign 'Le Namaaz'. The dining area has 3 floors with a glass window so that visitors outside can see the atmosphere inside.

From the outside, Lisa could already feel the hustle and bustle of the dining area. Aside from being located in the middle of the city, there are quite a lot of cars parked in front of the building.

On the first and second floors, the dining area offers an atmosphere for a romantic afternoon or evening meal, with a live band. All kinds of alcohol are also available. Meanwhile, the third floor is a place for bowling and a game of billiards.

"We just want to eat," Lisa said quietly as she unbuckled her seatbelt. "Why are we going to a place like this?"

"I heard that the atmosphere here is nice and not too noisy. The foods also vary, there are Western, Chinese and Indonesian cuisines. I thought you might like this place.." Oscar replied with a faint smile.
