Chapter 719 - Hurtful Truth

"I think my husband still loves me very much, huh?" Lisa teased while flashing a smile that was much sweeter than sugar.

Oscar was originally yawning but then immediately stopped doing anything. The man looked at Lisa with blurred eyes. His heart felt like spring and his body felt like summer.

The couple has been trying to mend their relationship for a long time. Often they call each other by pet names and now, hearing that woman call him 'My husband' made Oscar feel like he was floating far into space.

At first, Oscar thought that he had heard wrong. Maybe because he was so sleepy that his ears wanted to play with him. The man also ventured to ask, "Lisa, what did you just call me?"

Lisa was secretly happy in her heart, it turned out that her plan was going smoothly! As she could have guessed, Oscar could easily fall into her cheap trap.

Even though Lisa rarely calls Oscar 'Husband', and that she even refuses to call him that because her stomach usually feels ticklish, in her heart she still considers this man as her husband.

It's no secret that Oscar wants to marry Lisa. He had often given the woman instructions, such as buying a gold necklace, being outspoken about wanting to have another child, and so on. So now, hearing Lisa call him 'Husband', his heart felt like it was going to explode!

Oscar pulled Lisa closer and kissed her forehead, "Lisa, honey, try calling me that again."

"My husband…"

"Again."

Lisa tried to hide her proud expression on Oscar's neck. She really had to tell the events of the past few days right now! Lisa pushed Oscar's chest away while biting her lower lip, preventing herself from smiling.

"Ouch, listen to my story first!"

"Alright, alright," Oscar gave in, "What else do you want to tell me?"

"My mother and your Mama turned out to be sworn enemies." Lisa adjusted her sleeping position and looked at Oscar's clear blue eyes. "Long story short, my mother used to have a relationship with your Papa, but your mother suddenly came as a homewrecker."

"What?"

Hearing Lisa's story made Oscar feel like he was hit by a fast-moving train. Again he felt lied to by the woman's sleepiness so that he heard things that were not expected.

"Lisa, if you want to joke with me, this isn't funny at all is it-"

"It's true, I'm not lying to you anymore. Gosh, why would I lie about this matter to you?" Lisa said seriously.

Lisa's sleepiness suddenly disappeared. The atmosphere in the room was tense and cold, making her body feel uncomfortable. In addition to the cold atmosphere in the room, the air conditioner was able to make Lisa shiver. The woman got out of bed and opened the wardrobe's door.

Similar to Lisa, Oscar was not feeling sleepy at all. He looked up at the ceiling with mixed feelings. The longer he knew Greta deeply, the more his respect for her faded with the wind.

After a long silence, the man looked at Lisa who was now not wearing pants. Her legs were long and shining with the moonlight and street lamps. If he had seen Lisa's bare feet the other day, maybe Oscar would have gotten out of bed and pulled her into his lap.

But now, he was too confused by the story he never imagined would happen before. Oscar had known Lisa long enough to know that she liked to joke and often told the truth.

Half of him didn't believe her story, but the other half knew that she wouldn't lie about things like this.

"Lisa, haha—" Oscar's heart was as if trying to make her realize that this could never happen. "You still like me, right? Is this your way of breaking our relationship?"

Hearing that immediately made Lisa turn around quickly, "Heh, what do you mean by talking to me like that? Do you think I can lie to you about this matter?"

At first, Lisa had planned not to tell Oscar about what had happened during that night. Although Lisa was sure that Greta would not tell Oscar about her past— since she loved her pride very much and didn't want her to be looked down upon by others, especially her biological child, Lisa was afraid that the man would hear the story from someone else.

Lisa sat back on the bed and said, "Just ask me if I still like you anymore. Stupid, this has nothing to do with my previous story!"

"But how did that happen-" Oscar still couldn't believe what Lisa said. Greta wasn't a woman who deserved to be respected after what she had done, but Oscar couldn't believe what Lisa just said either.

In all his life, neither Peter nor Greta had ever told them about their past. Not even bothering to discuss it when Oscar and Chloe were little, they were more inclined to tell stories about how they met and finally decided to marry out of love.

But if Lisa didn't tell him how Greta met Peter, for example, Oscar wouldn't know for the rest of his life.

"I'm not going to lie to you about things like this, Oscar." Lisa repeated firmly.

Actually, when Lisa took 4 days off, she had several chances to tell Oscar. She just hadn't found the right time yet. She didn't want to spend her days off feeling gray and probably fighting with Oscar.

But today, Lisa really spilled the truth to Oscar. She just wanted to protect herself from Oscar who wanted to eat her alive, but then her mouth slipped and she said what she shouldn't have said!

It's not a good story. If possible, Lisa is sure that the man would hate Greta, his biological mother even more. She really shouldn't have said that, let the events of the past be a story from the past.

But again, no matter how smart people wrap the corpses of mice, the smell will be sharper and more people will find out about it.

Oscar was still looking at Lisa with a blank stare. The man thinks that now he is dreaming and this is his bad dream. To confirm whether he was really dreaming, the man lifted his leg and began to pluck one of his leg hairs.

"Ah," When the feeling of stinging and pain became clear, Oscar realized that he wasn't dreaming, "How did you know that Greta was a homewrecker?"
