Chapter 60

In Zhonghai the weather was gloomy. The skies were grey and it looked like it was going to pour.

Outside a white building, the roads were closed and many military vehicles were stationed out front.

Inside the building, Yang Chen was in his chair looking through some paperwork without the care one in the world. He wasn't even paying attention to the many people that were in his office.

"Where is Cuishan?" It was Ning Guangyao who had spoke first.

Yang Chen looked up, "Dunno."

Ning Guangyao clenched his fists, "She was here an hour ago! My clan knows this! These people know this! Stop playing games already!"

Ning Guangyao was referring to Yang Gongming and Lin Zhiguo.

Yang Gongming was dressed in an old polished military outfit. He wouldn't intervene in military affairs like this anymore and would leave it up to his son. But today was a special case. The Prime Minister's wife had gone missing and her last known location was in this company.

Yang Chen being related to the Yang Clan, Yang Gongming naturally had to show up. He was also required to bring some of his troops if things went south. Yan Sanniang was standing behind him as she stared bitterly at Yang Chen. She hoped things wouldn't turn out bad.

Lin Zhiguo was here since he believed his special team was the closest to having any actual effect in stopping Yang Chen if things did turn out badly.

Along with Gray Robe and even Cai Ning was present. Abbess Yun Miao was still recovering and Lin Zhiguo didn't want her to be here. It was mainly the Dragon Group and the Yang Clan soldiers that were stationed outside, awaiting orders.

"Yang Chen, enough of the games. Where is Luo Cuishan?" Yang Gongming asked solemnly.

Yang Chen shrugged his shoulders, "I seriously don't know."

No one bought his act for a second.

"Are you stalling for time?" Lin Zhiguo quickly jumped in.

"Because if you are, you will surely be disappointed. Our borders are being heavily armed so your people won't be able to enter the country or leave. You're stuck here until we get what we want out of you." Lin Zhiguo said coldly.

"Can you really stop me?"

"Of course we can. We have even sent people to take your family so they won't get dragged into this. We have also found out from Mr. Yang here that you have a lover on the side. So we sent people to get her too." Lin Zhiguo said seriously with a hint of anger in his tone.

Cai Ning became shocked. She didn't know that Ruoxi would be held captive. Lin Zhiguo had specifically brought her here to prevent her from meeting Ruoxi. He had known the close relationship between the Cai sisters and his granddaughter.

Yang Chen's smile vanished. He had known this idiot would try something like this.

"Listen here, If you dare to even touch them I'll kill every single soldier down there and I'll rip all of your heads off."

Yang Chen was, of course, monitoring his family so this wouldn't be happening. But this still pissed him off.

Ning Guangyao had unknowingly started to sweat from his forehead but he wasn't too worried about this since he remembered his background.

"Young Man, there are many people you just can't afford to offend. You may think you're strong and untouchable but you're not."

Yang Chen chuckled before he snapped his fingers.

Ning Guangyao was confused before he heard Yang Chen say with a grin.

"Open it."

Ning Guangyao was starting to have a bad premonition but still crouched down, in order, to open it.

Once the bag was opened, Ning Guangyao turned pale as he saw what was inside.

It was two actual human heads! Not just any heads but the heads of the elders that had come out of Illusionary Realm to visit Ning Guangyao.

The rest of the people become a little surprised when the sudden bag came out of nowhere until they took a glance at what was inside.

They became shocked before becoming confused as they didn't know who these people were. It was only Yan Sanniang who sensed a faint trace of Spiritual Qi coming from the bag. Also seeing Ning Guangyao's reaction, made her have some assumptions at who these cultivators were.

Ning Guangyao was now sweating even more before he closed the bag and looked toward Yang Chen.

'I need to inform the inner clan about this! I don't know what this demon might do if I don't.' Ning Guangyao thought with slight fear.

Ning Guangyao began contemplating in his mind. 'Cuishan is a small matter compared to this! Besides, I doubt the clan will help with this since it won't gain them anything.'

Ning Guangyao had made up his mind. He didn't want a battlefield to go down in the streets of China especially if his name was written all over it. He would have to make something up to his son about his mother's disappearance. There is also the fact that he has only truly loved one person in his entire life and that person is already dead.

"We're leaving." Ning Guangyao said while turning around and heading toward the door.

Everybody became shocked.

"Prime Minister, what are you talking about?!" Lin Zhiguo questioned.

Ning Guangyao looked toward him and they could all see his eyes had already turned slightly red.

"I said, we're leaving! Cuishan is clearly not here. There is no point in sacrificing the life of good men for nothing." Ning Guangyao said in a dignified manner.

Yang Gongming had no problems with this. He was just forced to bring his people here. He clearly didn't want them to die.

"Wait a minute." Yang Chen said, making everybody turn toward him.

Everybody widened their eyes and Ning Guangyao became afraid as the sword kept getting closer to him at a slow pace.

He tried to back up but realized he couldn't move! He had no movement over his body!

Ning Guangyao started sweating nervously as the sharp sword was barely grazing his neck.

"If you talk or even try to meet Ruoxi, I will slice off your head. Got that?" Yang Chen said indifferently.

Ning Guangyao couldn't even pay attention as he was too focused on the sword that was grazing his neck. He unknowingly gulped as he was slightly bleeding from that small graze.

Yang Chen became annoyed and made more golden ripples appear all over Ning Guangyao's body with different weapons in each.

"Did you get that Now?" Yang Chen said with a louder voice

Ning Guangyao was already scared shitless and forcefully closed his eyes while saying quickly.

"Yes! Yes, I got it!"

"Good."

Ning Guangyao slowly opened one eye and released the breath he was holding. He then quickly left the office as something wet could be seen in the front area of his pants.

The rest were still mind boggled at what just happened. What was that technique? Everybody thought.

Yang Chen looked at the rest, "All of you, get the f.u.c.k out."

They didn't waste time and quickly headed out the door.

As Lin Zhiguo's group was heading out, the door slammed shut, preventing them from leaving.

"Do you really think I would forget about you." Yang Chen said toward Lin Zhiguo.

Cai Ning and Gray Robe quickly got in front of their general and Master. They had just seen the previous technique, Yang Chen had shown and knew they had no way of stopping him. But they will gladly give up their lives so he can escape.

Lin Zhiguo sighed deeply, "You two move. That's an order."

"Give this to your father and get out of here. This is my final order to you." Lin Zhiguo said seriously.

Cai Ning became conflicted.

Lin Zhiguo turned to Yang Chen, "Let her go. She has nothing to do with this."

Yang Chen had no problems with this and nodded.

Lin Zhiguo turned back to Cai Ning and released a rare smile.

"You were chosen to be a part of this group when you were young. I know you didn't get to experience what other kids your age did. So I thank you for all you have done. Now go and please make sure nothing happens to Ruoxi. Just a small request from a grandfather."

Cai Ning's eyes were slowly turning red. She quickly wiped her eyes and nodded resolutely before leaving the office.

Luo Zhiguo turned toward Gray Robe, "You should leave as well."

"No. You have saved me once before so I will gladly fight even if I have no chance of winning." Gray Robe said firmly.

Lin Zhiguo smiled once more before he shook his head, "If you really want to repay me then go help Abbess in managing the Lin Clan in my absence."

Gray Robe was now conflicted for a couple of seconds, "Sorry Master, but I will have to decline your order this time."

Lin Zhiguo sighed bitterly but before he could say anything, he heard Yang Chen.

"He won't die. So you can leave already." Yang Chen said toward Gray Robe.

"Even still. I will not abandon my Master!" Gray Robe said with determination and prepared himself to attack.

"Suit yourself." Yang Chen said indifferently before he sent his True Yuan to rupture his organs.

*Thud*

Gray Robe fell on the floor and died instantly.

Lin Zhiguo painfully closed his eyes. After a couple of seconds, he opened them and stared coldly toward Yang Chen.

Yang Chen shrugged, "This was all your doing. All this could've been avoided if you just simply didn't become annoying."

"Stop talking and just kill me already." Lin Zhiguo said coldly.

Yang Chen didn't kill him and asked him a question instead.

"Hey, what's your biggest regret?"

Lin Zhiguo widened his eyes and starting recalling the worst choices he has ever made in his life.

Yang Chen smiled and didn't give him any time to speak.

"Was it, abandoning your two families or was it sending your second son and daughter in law to their deaths."

Lin Zhiguo became stunned. How could he have known about his other family and especially about his son and daughter in laws death.

"Do you know something about their deaths?!" Lin Zhiguo quickly asked. He had been spending over 20 years trying to find their murderers, in order, to exact revenge.

"What does it matter if I tell you? You won't be able to take revenge either way." Yang Chen replied.

"W-What do you mean?" Lin Zhiguo asked with a trembling voice.

Yang Chen didn't respond and took out a clear crystal ball, making Lin Zhiguo confused.

"Your body and consciousness will be transferred into this crystal ball. In it, you will see the deaths of your son and daughter in law repeatedly or until I decide to let you back out."

Lin Zhiguo wasnt even allowed to say anything before he disappeared entirely.

In the crystal ball, you could see a tiny Lin Zhiguo looking at his son and daughter in law's deaths with a despaired face.

Yang Chen made the crystal ball disappear with an indifferent face before he looked outside his window view. The military cars were gone and the roads were unblocked now.

Yang Chen looked up toward the sky, 'Hmm, I guess there won't be any rain."

The door to Yang Chen's office was opened and his assistant walked in.

"Sir, the people that were sent to take custody of your family were successfully killed brutally by our men."

Yang Chen nodded without turning back.

"Alright, get rid of this body. I'll be going to pick up my family now."

"I hope you will have a good trip, sir." The assistant bowed and picked up Gray Robe before he left.

Yang Chen turned around and started going to his car. He was going to go pick up Rose.
