Chapter 34

(Morning)

Yang Chen had gotten dressed in a black suit and headed downstairs to have breakfast. He then saw Ruoxi wearing an apron while placing food on the plate on the side of the chair that he would normally sit on.

Ruoxi turned to look at Yang Chen and gave him a smile, "Good morning, Yang Chen."

Yang Chen was a little confused. Wasn't Ruoxi supposed to be angry or upset with him after what happened yesterday night.

"Good morning." Yang Chen replied as he made his way to his seat.

Wang Ma who just came out of the kitchen had a smile on her face and secretly gave a thumbs up toward Ruoxi.

Ruoxi blushed slightly before taking a seat and they all started to have breakfast.

While they were having breakfast, Ruoxi turned to Yang Chen and said, "Oh, Yang Chen remember last night I told you about the Fashion Show. Well, I was thinking we could go together and announce to everybody that we're both married, what do you think?"

She sounded so casual that Yang Chen almost choked on his food. He composed himself and asked, "Are you sure about this?"

Ruoxi gave a bright smile, "Of course. Maybe you can even announce your identity to everyone. "

"I have no problems with that so sure." Yang Chen said while in his head he was thinking, 'So she does remember last night since she's bringing up the Fashion Show and why does she want me to announce that I'm a CEO at her company. Well, it's not like I was planning to hide it anyway.'

Ruoxi's gave a beautiful smile and they all continued to have breakfast.

When they finished, Yang Chen got up and turned to Ruoxi.

"Thanks for the meal. I'll be heading to work now."

Just before he could leave, Ruoxi called out for him.

"Yang Chen, wait."

Yang Chen stopped and looked at Ruoxi with a confused expression. She then made her way in front of him and fixed his suit collar and tie.

"There. Now have a good day at work." Ruoxi said while smiling.

Yang Chen was honestly lost at Ruoxi's sudden behavior change this morning but still nodded and left to his car.

Wang Ma who had been watching the whole interaction was lightly snickering the whole time.

"Good job, Young Miss." Wang Ma said while grinning.

When Ruoxi saw Yang Chen leave, she crouched down, hugged her knees tightly, and madly blushed.

"Ah! Why did I just do that?!" Ruoxi yelled in embarrassment.

Wang Ma giggled and said, "Young Miss, remember what we talked about last night. You're doing this to show that your relationship with the Young Master is serious."

Ruoxi remembered her talk with Wang Ma last night and nodded in agreement. Her bringing up the announcement about Yang Chen's identity will also show everyone that he is someone that can't be provoked. This means nobody will try to court Ruoxi and other females won't dare to try to seduce Yang Chen knowing Rouxi's status.

"I'll go get changed and head to work now Wang Ma."

Wang Ma smiled and nodded before she went to clean the table.

Yang Chen had made it to his office and sat down when his assistant knocked on the door.

"Come in." Said Yang Chen.

The assistant walked in and reported to Yang Chen.

"Sir, we have found the Vairocana Dharma Body which holds powers of countless living buddhas from ancient times."

Yang Chen nodded and let his assistant continue.

"You were right. It is the item that the Tibetan Buddism group has stolen. It also seems the Yellow Flame Iron Brigade has found them as well and will be intercepting them very soon. Unfortunately for us, an elder of the Buddhism group has also been identified as one of the traffickers. They are also working with Blue Storm in trafficking this item back to the United States."

This is the reason Lin Zhiguo wanted his help recently. To get rid of the intruders and return this item back to China. Although Yang Chen can make countless of these golden statues, he was only stealing this item just to show that he will not be working with any other organization in the world that doesn't belong to him.

"Is the serum ready so you guys can get this item without the need for my help?" Yang Chen asked.

The assistant bowed his head and apologized, "Sorry sir, but the serum is not ready for testing yet but Miss Jane has informed us that she will help us complete it when she arrives tomorrow."

The serum would enhance Yang Chen's subordinate's body and mind turning them into super soldiers.

Yang Chen sighed tiredly. Of course, he could just make hundreds of these serums by himself but that will keep him busy for too long and he doesn't want to do that. That's why he made one serum and the necessary materials for his research team to replicate it.

"Fine, I will handle it. Just get some men and helicopter for the extraction and inform me when we will be infiltrating the place."

"Understood." The assistant said respectfully.

"How about the other thing?" Yang Chen asked.

"Yes, the Holy Grail. People seem to believe that it will offer them eternal life. The Vatican and the Dark Parliament from Europe have caught some wind of this and started having small skirmishes between each other in areas they believe this item is located at. It will soon grow big between other organizations if this is leaked." The assistant replied.

Dark Parliament is basically Vampires that wish to blend with human society and have been around for countless centuries. While the Vatican is a human resistance that was formed by the church to stop these blood-s.u.c.k.i.n.g bats and terminate them. They have been fighting for a long period of time but now the Vatican thinks they are justice and have to kill every single vampire even after they have changed their ways and started adapting to modern society.

Yang Chen's expression turned serious and said, "When this Holy Grail lands in China be sure to inform me immediately."

Yang Chen could care less about this Holy Grail knock off even if the legends about it were true. What matters to him is who will be the one to hold possession over it. Yang Chen was very serious about this because the person who ends up with this item is his target.

"Understood, Sir."

As Yang Chen was about to get to his paperwork he remembered something.

"Oh, we will also be expanding to Japan so inform everybody about this."

The assistant nodded and bowed his head before he left the office.

Yang Chen then suddenly received a call from Rose so he answered.

"Hi, hubby." Rose said in a happy tone.

Yang Chen smiled and greeted Rose, "Hey, Rose. What's up?"

"I was calling to tell you that the banquet will be happening tonight. I know I told it would be happening soon but even I didn't know it was this soon so can you make it tonight or are you busy?" Rose asked nervously.

"No, I'm not busy. I'll come and pick you up tonight." Yang Chen said.

"Thanks, hubby." Rose said before they both chatted for a little longer and said goodbye to each other.

(Evening- Yu Lie International)

Liu Mingyu was in her office and was about to get off work when she heard a knock coming from the door.

"Come in."

It was Zhao Hongyan and another pretty lady next to her that opened the door. This lady had quite a plump body, a face that was a little round while wearing a baby blue outfit. Her name was Zhang Cai.

"Big Sis Mingyu would you like to have drinks with us tonight?" Zhao Hongyan asked.

Liu Mingyu was reluctant as she only wanted to go home and spend the night by herself.

"I don't really feel like having drinks today."

"C'mon Sis Mingyu, we could even ask Sis Qianni to come with us." Jumped in Zhang Cai.

Liu Mingyu was still feeling reluctant but accepted after being pressured by them.

They then went to the newly appointed Department Head's office to invite Qianni. As they were heading toward her office, they saw Qianni just leaving.

Qianni was surprised that these two chirpy PR Department colleagues and Mingyu had come to visit her.

"Sis Qianni would you like to have some drinks with us tonight? We could celebrate you and Sis Mingyu's recent promotion." Zhao Hongyan asked.

Qianni looked toward Mingyu and she gave an awkward smile. She had feeling Mingyu was dragged in by them.

"Sure." Replied Qianni. She was going to go drinking by herself anyway so what could hurt to add more people.

They all headed to the bar that was close and sat down at the table. On the way here they were glanced by many people mainly by guys since they were all beautiful women especially when they were wearing office attire.

They had started drinking but since they were all part of the PR Department even Qianni who was promoted recently could handle their alcohol. After a couple more drinks their face started to become slightly flushed.

"Mingyu, you've been distant lately with everyone. What's up with that?" Zhang Cai said a bit tipsy.

Zhao Hongyan who was also slightly drunk asked, "Is it boyfriend problems?"

Mingyu blushed and denied, "No!"

"Relax. It was just a question." Zhao Hongyan said trying to calm her down.

Zhang Cai then turned to Qianni who was awfully quiet and asked, "Sis Qianni why are you so quiet? Is it also guy problems?"

Qianni blushed and denied as well, "No!"

Zang Cai and Zhao Hongyan looked at each other and smiled teasingly as they just figured something out.

"C'mon girls spit it out. Who's the lucky guy? Is he handsome?" They both said in sync and started asking random questions about the guy they were supposedly seeing.

Mingyu couldn't handle their annoying question and blurted out something without thinking.

"He's married! So please stop asking questions!"

Mingyu them covered her mouth and realized what she said. The other 3 were shocked to hear her answer and Zhao Hongyan looked at Mingyu and said playfully, "So you're dating a married guy. Not bad but you should've gone for someone single."

Mingyu blushed in embarrassment before taking a glass and downing it in a single gulp.

"We're not dating." Mingyu said.

"So...just friends with benefits?" Zhang Cai said teasingly.

"No! Just friends!" Mingyu shouted.

They chirpy pair started laughing before they turned to Qianni and smiled evilly.

Qianni was nervous so she blurted out, "I don't have a boyfriend!"

"Then do u at least have a crush on someone?" Zhao Hongyan asked.

Qianni didn't respond as she thought about a certain someone.

This was all they needed and started bombarding with more questions. In the end, they also found out that he was also a married man.

"Damm, I guess hooking up with married men is the new trend now." Zhao Hongyan let out a slip of the tongue.

Qianni and Mingyu both glared at her.

"I'm kidding." Zhao Hongyan quickly defended herself.

"You both have been quite similar these days. First, you both get promoted, then you both don't even try to hang out with us and the rest of the girls and now you're both each into a married guy." Zang Cai pitched in.

Mingyu and Qianni both looked at each other and smiled thinking it was just a coincidence.

"It would be funny if you girls were into the same guy though." Zang Cai said as she giggled.

They all laughed but this had Qianni and Mingyu thinking. They both then looked at each other straight in the eyes at the same time. Their eyes widen and Qianni asked her a question with nervousness.

"Mingyu, who were you referring to?"

Mingyu didn't really believe they were both referring to the same guy so she decided to say the truth.

"It was the guy that helped me in the Department Head Ma situation. His name is Yang Chen."

Qianni was shocked. They were literally talking about the same person. Mingyu noticed her reaction and asked, "What about you?"

"Oh, it's nobody. It's this guy I met by chance." Qianni tried to play it off but it was bad.

Mingyu didn't buy it for a second. "Qianni. Please tell me."

Qianni sighed seeing her face in wanting to know the truth and said, "His name...is Yang Chen as well."

Mingyu was in disbelief. The other two girls kept looking at their interaction and figured out what they were talking about. They didn't laugh this time and Zang Cai said, "He must really love his wife for him to not be with any of you."

They both blushed and Mingyu said, "He probably really loves her."

Qianni became angry as she knew the real truth, "No, he doesn't."

The rest were confused and Zhao Hongyan asked, "How do you know big sis Qianni?"

Qianni gnashed her teeth, "His marriage with his wife is only by contract as in they haven't even had a ceremony yet. I even saw him...with another woman."

The 3 became shocked especially Mingyu as she felt a sting in her heart.

"Wait, if they don't even love each other then what's the big deal of having another woman?" Zhang Cia asked.

"Well..." Qianni couldn't say anything. She was right, what was the big deal if he had another woman when Ruoxi won't even care about it.

Mingyu had the same thought, only she didn't know who his wife was.

Zhao Hongyan then smirked evilly, "Then that means you girls have a chance. Hell, both of you can share him if you're into that. As long as he has the capability of satisfying you out and inside the bedroom."

They both madly blushed at the thought and shouted in unison.

"Shut up!"
