Chapter 7

(AN: Sorry for the late chapter.)

Yang Chen was busy all day long making plans for his brand new tech company. He decided that the first product he will be introducing is a self-healing wrist bracelet that heals all physical injuries ten times faster than the human body.

This was only the first of many products that Yang Chen planned to release when he would start his company. He still had many ideas for new products but decided that he'll wait first after his company would become influential since this would hit big globally.

When Yang Chen finished setting out his plans he was going to go check his company building to see if they would need any last-minute improvements, when suddenly Yang Chen's phone starting ringing, receiving a call from Ruoxi so he answered the phone.

"Yes?"

"I need you to come to Yu Lei International." Said Ruoxi coldly.

"For?" Asked Yang Chen.

"Remember Xu Zhihong, the guy my father tried to marry me off too, well he asked me out to dinner for talks about this year's partnership for the Autumn Fashion Show. But since I already rejected him three times, I can't refuse since it will delay the event back a year." Said Ruoxi with a frown when she was talking about Xu Zhihong.

"And you want me to go as your fake husband to keep him from coming near you while you discuss the deal, am I right?" Followed up Yang Chen after Ruoxi.

"Yes, pretty self-explanatory isn't it. Be sure to meet me in my private parking space in thirty minutes since we'll be taking my car." Said Ruoxi before hanging up the phone.

"Sigh...." Yang Chen sighed. ' I guess I'll check my company building tomorrow.' Thought Yang Chen before getting in his car, driving home and leaving it in the garage, then teleporting to Ruoxi's parking space in Yu Lie International.

Nobody was there since almost everyone had gotten off work around this time, so Yang Chen quickly found Ruoxi's Bentley Arnage and leaned on it while waiting for her.

"Excuse me, but what are you doing?" Said in a cold but wearily voice coming from Yang Chen's side.

Yang Chen turned to see a beautiful fit woman with long purplish hair and long eyelashes.

"Waiting for someone." Replied Yang Chen in nonchalant tone while still leaning on the car.

Mo Qianni not buying it, put her hand in her bag holding a pepper spray bottle while staying alert.

"Do you know who's car this is?" Mo Qianni said ready to launch and pepper spray him at any moment's notice.

"Yea, it's the car of the person I'm waiting for." Replied Yang Chen in the same tone.

How could Mo Qianni believe that this stranger know's which car the CEO of Yu Lei and her best friend drives, so she was about to pepper spray him until she heard a cold voice behind her.

"He's with me." Said Ruoxi while making her way over to her car.

"Ruoxi who is this?" Asked Mo Qianni still a little wary of this stranger.

"He's.....a friend." Replied Ruoxi after a moment of thinking what she wanted to say.

Mo Qianni was shocked. She had known Ruoxi for many years and never had she had any male friends since she became Ceo of Yu Lei International.

"Well sorry to spring this upon you but we have to go." Said Ruoxi before she and Yang Chen got in the car and left, leaving the still shocked Mo Qianni to herself only to come back to reality after they were long gone.

It was already dark outside when Ruoxi and Yang Chen made it to there destination which was a 5-star hotel.

When they got out of the car, Ruoxi clung to Yang Chen's arm while smiling like a loving wife and Yang Chen gave a smile of his own.

If anybody would be able to see this, they would think 'what a nice young couple', completely being fooled since this was all just an act.

When they both entered the fancy hotel, Rouxi was captivated by the grandiose decorations while Yang Chen just stayed quiet since he didn't care for any of it.

Being led by the staff, they made it to a private booth facing a lake. Then the door opened and a burly man a with curly hair, rugged face, and beard smiled and said

"Please to meet you, Miss Lin, our young master is waiting inside. "Completely excluding Yang Chen.

Ruoxi just nodded indifferently and went inside the room with Yang Chen.

"Ruoxi, we finally get to meet." Said the voice of a young handsome man with neat short hair. This man was Xu Zhihong.

While Ruoxi and Xu Zhihong were exchanging pleasantries, the burly man who was named Hairy Ball was staring at Yang Chen as if he was a little kitten waiting to be ripped apart.

Yang Chen who noticed his stare didn't do anything as he just kept up his act and smiled.

When they were done with there pleasantries Xu Zhihong offered Ruoxi a seat. "Come, please sit Ruoxi?"

Xu Zhihong and his servant were treating Yang Chen as if he was thin air.

Ruoxi underestimating Xu Zhihong's intelligence having no other choice released Yang Chen's arm and sat down since they were only two chairs.

At this moment Yang Chen went to grab Xu Zhihong's original chair that he was supposed to sit on and placed it next to Ruoxi seat and sat down while still smiling.

Xu Zhihong's was shocked since he didn't expect Yang Chen to be this impulsive before quickly regaining his calm while motioning Hairy Ball to stop as he looked like he was about to attack Yang Chen when he saw what he did.

Ruoxi couldn't help but let out a giggle because of what Yang Chen did but quickly composed herself.

Xu Zhihong heart went cold when he heard Ruoxi's giggle but still kept his gentleman act up. Then Xu Zhihong motioned Hairy Ball to bring him a chair.

Once Xu Zhihong got seated, Ruoxi immediately started to talk about the deal since she didn't want to spend any more time with Xu Zhihong, while Yang Chen just stayed quiet and kept smiling.

Once they came up with an agreement on the deal, Xu Zhihong offered Ruoxi to stay for dinner.

"Since business is concluded, I'm sure your hungry Ruoxi?"

"Actually, I don't have time anymore since I am pretty exhausted today." Said Ruoxi as she coldly rejected Xu Zhihong's offer before she and Yang Chen got up and she clung on to his arm.

Xu Zhihong was angry but never let his gentleman facade slip up and said

" Since Ruoxi is tired then we can conclude this meeting, and maybe we can reschedule for another dinner?"

"I don't know since I am pretty busy most of the time but I'll try to see If I have any free time in my schedule." Said Ruoxi as she coldly rejected him again.

"I see, then I hope you have a good evening then." Xu Zhihong said.

Ruoxi and Yang Chen left as soon as they heard that, and not even saying goodbye.

Once they were gone, Xu Zhihong face had an ugly expression before he grabbed a wine bottle and through at the wall.

*Smash*

"That bitch! Who the hell does she think she is?!" Xu Zhihong said as any of his gentleman act could not be seen anymore.

"Boss do you need me to go and get rid of him." Hairy Ball asked as he cracked his knuckles and approached Xu Zhihong.

"Investigate him since we don't know his background. I doubt Ruoxi will marry a man that used to sell mutton skewers." Xu Zhihong said after calming himself and getting himself a glass of whiskey.

'Do you think you can escape me Ruoxi. I promise that I'll take over your company and make you my slave.' Thought Xu Zhihong as he didn't hide his l.u.s.tful expression.

When Yang Chen and Ruoxi got in there car, they're happily married act was completely gone while one had a cold face and the other had a blank expression.

When the duo was heading back to the villa, the ride was uneventfully quite.

Yang Chen didn't want to start a conversation, while Ruoxi looked at Yang Chen wanting to say something but in the end chose to stay quiet.

When they made it back to the villa, Ruoxi coldly said to Yang Chen.

"Get off, I have some things to take care of."

Yang Chen didn't respond and just got off the car while heading inside the house.

Ruoxi backed up her car and left while Yang Chen was greeting by Wang Ma.

Yang Chen and Wang Ma had dinner. After they were done, Yang Chen helped in washing the dishes and headed upstairs to his room.

When he went inside his room he didn't choose to sleep but instead teleported to the 5-star hotel he was at with Ruoxi a few hours ago.

Suddenly two golden ripples appeared on top of Xu Zhihong's body. One on his c.h.e.s.t and another on his head.

Then came two extremely sharp knives that came from the golden ripples and penetrated his heart and brain, killing him instantly, before they disappeared like they weren't there in the first place.

(AN: Just regular knives btw.)

Poor Xu Zhihong didn't even know how he died.

Yang Chen just stared emotionless at the now-dead Xu Zhihong and thought 'This is my first time I'm killing someone and I don't feel anything about it. It must be the side effect of taking over someone's body and memories that have killed all their life.'

Yang Chen then looked at the woman that was sleeping and left her be since he wasn't a fan of mindless killing.

Yang Chen then teleported to the Red Light District for his next target, 'Hairy ball'.

Hairy Ball was trying to find a p.r.o.s.t.i.t.u.t.e to satisfy his needs, but unlucky for him no woman would accept, since he had an ugly appearance.

Yang Chen then appeared on top of a building where no one would be able to see him. Yang Chen then made a semi-automatic sniper rifle with a silencer and positioned himself.

He aimed it at Hairy Ball who was busy checking out the women when he fired twice, one in his forehead and another in the heart with pinpoint accuracy.

Hairy Ball died instantly and fell to the ground face first.

(With the onlookers)

"Oh my god, someone call an ambulance!"

"What happened?"

"I don't know, he just fell by himself."

They turn his body over and discover that he was bleeding from the head and his c.h.e.s.t and they realized he was shot.

The people went pale and called the police immediately. But it was too late since Yang Chen was already gone.

(With Yang Chen)

Yang Chen who had already made it back to his room was getting ready for bed. 'I know what Xu Zhuhong is capable of, so I won't wait and let him prepare any scheme to hinder my new life.' Thought Yang Chen before he went to laid on his bed and quickly fell asleep since he had a busy day tomorrow.

(AN: In the novel they had dinner with Xu Zhihong, but I changed since it was kinda boring. I might upload another chapter today, but no promises.)
