Chapter 12 - To Bring Death For the Life of Others

it has been 2 days since Ryjin left he galloped at a nice pace but when he saw the town he knew it would be annoying cause it had f.u.c.k.i.n.g walls and around 5k Troops from his scouting and reconnaissance.

His cav was spotted around 12 hours ago and the town has been in a huge uproar since there numbers doubled and now have 10k troops but i believe 5 to 6k are made up of peasants so when my cav engage its easy to know who will win.

How ever it would be an easy fight in Ryjins opinion if the town had not sent out multiple riders and now according to his returning cav that chased the riders there are 4 more army's of around 7 to 9k strong converging on him.

this really put him against the wall but he knew he could still win his cav was Elite and also Veterans of many wars if he attacked the reinforcing army's Hit and run style with Bows from range and charged threw there lines and then ran he could Drop there numbers but then it becomes a game of attrition 1 in with he would lose so he is now thinking and brain storming with 4 men who he named 250 man commanders.

The idea's they all made where good but the 1 they where leaning to was the Box Trap where they target 1 enemy army and attack from 4 sides in 2 line formation and charge and drop there numbers or Wipe them but again that could be costly.

Lucky for us the 2 of these army's Have no spears and none have cav apart from the defending town witch only has 500 so his plan was to kill 2 army's and use there Heads to make the other 2 reinforcing army's retreat with the plan of attack agreed it was time to rest up to be ready for the ambush tomorrow.

after sleeping and having some good rest Ryjin placed his cloth's on went out side and checked his horse he also saw his men doing the same all 4 groups of men where ready and Rearing ta go so i head to my designated area and the other 3 groups do the same Its around 10:30 in morning when we are ready Completely and now we wait for the enemy.

The enemy force was led by the Lord of a nearby town who was allied and great Friends with the lord of the attacked town so when he heard that his Friend and allies was under attack by unknown Cavalry he mustered his troops to help in his allies defence and they are now marching threw the open Field about half a days time from the allied town with Now 11k troops as he mustered even more along the way he is confident in his and his allies victory.

:Ryjin was watching as what is meant ta be an army marching but in his mind all he see's is a HUGE mass of troops Walking in Loose formation he knows 1 proper charge on them right now will decimate there entire army How the f.u.c.k is there no discipline no proper marching its like a Huge F.u.c.k.i.n.g Mob Rome total war 1 I mean come on Giant peasant mob and here i had my f.u.c.k.i.n.g hopes up (Sigh) i mean i know i am in ancient time but come on at least march properly.

he gave 1 of his men the signal and his rider went just to the tip of the hill and quickly waved a Green coloured little flag then he went back and joined ranks ready for the charge.

and with that scream the enemy army knew something was wrong as they felt the ground Tremble and they heard Galloping of horses and also the shouts and screams of men then they noticed there men where dieing all round them from arrow fire from what seem'ed from every direction.

The enemy lord Did not panic as Ryjin Relived he would he gave orders and his Veteran warriors formed up round him forming a 4000 strong Box with shield wall in place on all sides and Spears at the ready to impale.

Ryjin Knew attacking that head on with cav is suicide and he would never do something so f.u.c.k.e.d up He gave the order for the cav to take to the hill and shower the enemy with arrows out of the 11k enemy troops only about 5k remain 4k in good health 1k in bad condition.

Ryjin knew once he takes and raids ransacks and raze's a town he will have food wealth and supplies ta keep his Lands up and afloat for a year but do any battles ever go as 1 wish's it would seem not as with the arrivals of 2 of the 4 allied forces arriving right now

Ryjin knew this was worst outcome and it just so f.u.c.k.i.n.g happen
