83 the Feeling is Mutual

Inside Maddie's office, Yve and Maddie are seated opposite each other. Yve can't help but be in awe at how creative and fashionable her office is.

'That's to be expected from a designer.' She thought.

Maddie's secretary came inside the office with a cup of coffee and some biscuits. Maddie sipped and Yve did the same thing.

"Hmm... Latte..." Yve said with a smile.

"Why? Is latte not you preference?"

"It's exactly what I like. Although there are times when I have no choice but to drink the black coffee in someone else's office." Yve said. She leaned forward and whispered to Maddie, "I hope you get what I mean?"

Maddie laughed and can't help but truly understand Yve.

"Now, let's talk about the real thing." Maddie said.

"Please do." Yve said.

"Why didn't you say that the request was done by the president of SkyMu Entertainment and that you're it's president when we met earlier?"

Yve was astonished by Maddie's statement.

"Don't be surprised my dear. Our industries have more similarities than you think. Plus news travel so fast." Maddie explained.

"Oh. I just want to be fair. I didn't came here to talk about any business venture with Noble. I came here as a fan and aspiring customer of the product."

"What do you mean?"

"It wasn't part of our plan to use one of Noble's designs for this music video. It's just there was an unexpected wardrobe issue and I immediately thought of Noble. With its quality, design and exclusivity, I thought that certain adjustments can be made."

To this Maddie can only sip her coffee and get a biscuit from the platter. After swallowing the biscuit, she said.

"But you said, aspiring customer... Does that mean you haven't worn any design by Noble? But how can you say that you're a fan?"

Thinking of Vince while wearing Noble's suit, she can't help but smile.

"I hope you can keep this a secret between two ladies, Maddie."

"Of course, I can. After all, we might see each other in the future..."

"The only man who cares about me aside from my father wears your suits to his work. The designs on his suit can tell his mood so the people around him can obtain a clue. Not to erase that your suits were like made to cater his looks and turned him into an irresistable king." Yve then sipped her coffee.

"You seemed to like this man very much..." Maddie teased Yve which almost caused her to choke.

Maddie continued to tease and ask, "May I know his name?"

"Hmm I'd rather not. For sure, you've met him. With that number of Noble suits at home, he must have been one of your VIPs." Yve said.

Maddie fully knew that it her son they were talking about. No doubt in this young lady's eyes that she truly loved and loves her son. But she can't help but think of her reason for leaving her son back in the past.

"But I was hoping to thank this VIP for silently promoting our suits." Maddie insisted.

"There's no need. Your suits also made him look extra handsome. So it's a win-win situation for both parties.

Just in time, Tristan came to the office with one of the Noble suits. Yve stood up in awe and approached Tristan.

"WOW! It fits you perfectly." Yve said.

"Their team worked really fast. They were able to adjust the suit immediately." Tristan answered.

Yve can only nod in agreement. Furthermore, the suit emanates the same feel as the suits on Vince's closet.

"Maddie how much is this?" Yve turned to Maddie.

"No need. It's for free. Just treat it as a nice to meet you gift."

"But, I can't.."

"Take it, please. After all, I'm happy that when in need of suits, Noble automatically came into your mind." Maddie insisted.

"Okay, then. I'll think of a way to repay you in the future." Yve answered and initiated a handshake.

"Even if I say no need, you will continue to insist. So, I should just say, I'm looking forward to it." Maddie said and the two of them laughed.

Jaleb and Chrysthe calmed down when they saw that Maddie and Yve are on their way back and smiling to each other. They seem to be comfortable with one another. This is certainly a great news. Yve finally talked to Jaleb and told him to start the car.

"Maddie, it was really nice meeting you. But we should be heading back to the shoot." Yve said.

"The feeling is mutual. For sure this will not be the last time we will see each other." Maddie said.

Yve heard Maddie's last line. She didn't mind this but for Jaleb, Chrysthe and Maddie herself, they clealy know what it means.

As soon as the van was no longer visible from the Noble's boutique, Maddie called for Slane.

"Yes, Madam?"

"I need to know more about Yvory Smith." Maddie said.

But as soon as silence was Slane's response, she knew that it wasn't a good idea. She was about to give up when Edward's voice was heard on the other end.

"Is that the Madam? Let me speak to her instead."

"Hello, Madam?"

"Edward, please."

"I was just joking, Aunt Maddie." Edward said while laughing on the other end.

"About Yvory, I really want to know." Maddie pleaded.

"Well, about that auntie, Vince wanted to talk to you personally. He'd rather have you learn the secrets he unfolded from his mouth. Can you spare a time?" Edward said.

"Dummy! Sometimes your cousin is a little stupid, don't you think? I even personally accepted this offer as soon as he was the one who made the call. How much more if this was him who wanted to see me?" Now it's Maddie's turn to laugh.

"Then how about for a dinner tomorrow night? I will inform your secretary of the time and place." Edward asked.

"Okay. That's fine with me." Maddie said and the phone call ended.

"Rose, please pull out my latest design for Vince. Prepare some beads and the same textile as well."

"Madam, are you planning to change the design?"

"No, I'm planning to make a pair for that suit. In that way, my son will definitely wear it. Hurry! I need to finish it before tomorrow night."

"Yes, Madam!"
