“So awesome!” Chu Ge exclaimed in his mind as much as he didn’t want to admit it, killing those weak and small monsters gave him a sense of excitement, satisfaction, and exhilaration. It was a feeling that he had almost all but forgotten. Looking at the graveyard of Kobold corpses, Chu Ge felt a mild sense of accomplishment bubbling in his heart.

There was no doubt that killing and bloodshed was the natural instinct of a human. No wonder rich people liked to go hunting for sport. Although there was no hostility between the Kobolds and himself, putting them down one by one by swinging a sword and slicing through them and shooting them to death in an instant was an awesome feeling.

He now understood why 90% of the games in the market had themes of killing, bloodshed, and wars. However, how could those battles experienced through a monitor screen ever compare to the awesome feeling of killing with a real sword and bow and arrow?

No matter what, these Kobolds were monsters. When he killed them, there was no issue with morality, and he felt no guilt.

As he thought, he first started taking back the arrows stuck in the monsters. Then, he began searching for loot.

Seven bronze coins.

“I’ll be da*ned! Seven bronze coins again!”

Eight bronze coins, one piece of linen scrap.

Six bronze coins, one Rusted Dagger. Although it was a weapon, wasn’t it still too lousy to be of use?

“Item Name: Rusted Dagger (weapon/one-handed)

Hacking Damage: 12

Piercing Damage: 15

Attacking Distance: 75

Attacking Speed: Average

Durability: 12/20

Weapon Effects: Tetanus. After the target has received damage from the dagger, there is a certain chance of causing tetanus effect. All stats would have a decrease of -1, lasting for 60 seconds.

Item Introduction: A rusted dagger made from pig iron. Barely sufficient as a weapon, but it was at least better than going empty-handed.”

Chu Ge looked at the zanbato on his hands. Although he was unable to see the zanbato’s stats, just judging by its appearance, it still looked ten times stronger than the Rusted Dagger. Chu Ge estimated that his zanbato was at least 40 and above in damage.

He threw the dagger into his bag and continued searching for loot.

Nine bronze coins, a half-eaten apple (trash), one Kobold’s candle (trash). Holy Cr*p! It was all trash!

Eight bronze coins, one Iron Ore.

Chu Ge looked silently at the black iron mass in his hands that weighed about two-jin, lost for words. Then, he just casually threw it away.

Five bronze coins, one Black Leather Pouch (Bag).

Oh? What was that? Chu Ge quickly checked the stats of the Black Leather Pouch.

“Item Name: Black Leather Pouch (Bag)

Stats: Inventory Space +6

Item Introduction: An item bag commonly used by travelers. It may look small, but it can store items that look like it would not fit, regardless of size.”

Chu Ge picked up the Black Leather Pouch and gave it a once over. The Black Leather Pouch was just slightly larger than a wallet, and it was much smaller than a waist pouch. It was compact and could be hung on the waist easily. From its appearance, it looked as if it could only store a cell phone. But when Chu Ge reached into the pouch, there was a sudden image of six individual box compartments that appeared in his mind. It was like the pouch could be checked for its contents through the mind. Chu Ge immediately tried putting the zanbato on his hands inside the bag and saw that it had only just taken up one compartment space.

He tested the pouch over and over. Then he discovered that objects, such as swords, daggers, and armor, would all take up one compartment space only. If it were something like arrows, they could be stacked. He stuffed the 40 arrows in his possession into the pouch and found that they had only taken up one box space.

“Haha, it was so great!” Chu Ge thought; the item was practically the same as having an interspatial tool! It was even better than finding gold. It would be so much more convenient to store things from now on.

Chu Ge shut his eyes, then reached towards the Black Leather Pouch. He discovered that the items in the pouch could appear as an image in his mind. With just a concentrated thought of the item, the object would appear in his hands from the bag.

Hanging the Leather Black Pouch on his waist happily, Chu Ge continued in his task of searching for loot.

Six bronze coins, Rusted Chainmail Pants (Armor). “Ugh, even the name of the equipment spoke volumes of its uselessness.”

Five bronze coins, one Kobold’s gold. “Haha! Great! I got another piece of gold!”

Seven bronze coins, one Refreshing Mineral Water.

“Item Name: Refreshing Mineral Water (Food)

After Use: Recovers 20 MP in ten seconds. (only consumable in Peace Mode)”

The Refreshing Mineral Water was not too bad. Although he had no use for it now, since there were items to recover MP, does that mean there was a chance that he would be able to learn magic?

Eight bronze coins, Low-grade Healing Water.

“Item Name: Low-grade Healing Water (Potion)

After Use: Allows the user to recover 30 HP instantly.

Item Introduction: Magical potion. The blood-like color of the potion reflects its ability to heal. It can recover HP instantly, and is undoubtedly the favorite choice of Adventurers.”

“I’d be da*ned!” It was definitely a good find.

Five bronze coins, Kobold’s gold.

Four bronze coins, linen scraps.

Nine bronze coins, Kobold’s candle (trash).

After running through all the corpses in search of loot in one shot, Chu Ge had obtained quite a few items. On the downside, most of the items were trash. But there were still quite a few valuable items, too. There was the Black Leather Pouch (interspatial tool), a bottle of Low-grade Healing Water, three Kobold’s gold, a piece of Hard Bread, a bottle of Refreshing Mineral Water, and more than 100 bronze coins.

As for the other items looted from the monsters, Chu Ge was unable to find anything of value in them. But even so, the loot haul had made Chu Ge very excited.

Chu Ge had every intention of continuing onward, but unfortunately, his stomach growled pathetically in protest. He looked at the time. With the blink of an eye, and without him noticing, he had already been battling for the whole morning.

His stamina and strength had almost been exhausted too. Although the Kobolds were very weak, drawing a bow and swinging a sword to kill the monsters also required endurance and strength as well.

Chu Ge was of the mindset to gain victory slowly but steadily, so he turned around to leave the Instance Dungeon. Returning home to his living room, he stripped himself of the bomb suit. It was at that moment that Chu Ge found himself drenched in sweat from head to toe. He had not noticed it previously in the Instance Dungeon because he was too excited over the thrill of battle and the loot haul. But once he left the Instance Dungeon, he felt as if all his strength had been drained from him.

After resting for a short while, Chu Ge started preparing his lunch.

As a semi-otaku who did not like to venture outside of his home, Chu Ge’s cooking skills were pretty decent. In his spare time, outside of playing games, his greatest hobby and passion was most probably to whip up something delicious to eat.

First, he cooked a big pot of rice. Then, using potatoes, chicken, mushrooms, and with a variety of condiments, he made a one-pot meat stew.

Perhaps it was due to having expended too much energy, Chu Ge had a hearty appetite for the meal and ate with gusto. In one sitting, he polished off two big bowls of rice, one large bowl of chicken potato stew, and even downed a can of coke.

After resting for a good while, Chu Ge only felt his strength coming back only around after two in the afternoon. Standing in front of the Instance Dungeon entrance, Chu Ge was very proud of his progress.

“Alright! Let’s get to it and continue clearing the Instance Dungeon,” he said to himself.

The loot he obtained in the morning had made him a little addicted to clearing the Instance Dungeon. He put on the bomb suit hastily, impatient to continue his adventure in the Instance Dungeon. Picking up his weapon, he stepped into the Instance Dungeon. Now, he did not have to be as cumbersome and awkward as he was previously. Because he had the Black Leather Pouch, he was able to store the spear, battle-ax, shield, compound bow, Tang sword, and arrows into the pouch, while he held the zanbato in his hands. That way, he would be able to switch weapons at any time readily.

Crossing the quarry cave with the graveyard of corpses, Chu Ge finished off a few Kobold miners and a Kobold supervisor. Unfortunately, these Kobolds did not have any good treasures. The only thing of value was a single piece of Kobold’s gold. He soon came to a dead-end in the quarry cave. As he moved inwards, the quarry cave became wider, and a large and spacious underground hall came into Chu Ge’s sight. At the corners of the cave, there were piles of ore that had already been sorted and grouped. There was even a pile of gold ore. However, Chu Ge was not excited at the sight of the gold ore because he had already realized that most of the items in the Instance Dungeon were backdrop settings. Just like how he was unable to take down the torches fixed on the walls of the quarry cave. The only items he could take with him were the items dropped by the monsters he had killed.

In the middle of the ore piles, a thickly-built figure appeared in front of Chu Ge.

Gruff Swiftbite (Gnoll Overseer). And behind the name, there was a red skull symbol.

“Bollocks! It’s the Boss,” Chu Ge immediately realized the situation he was in.
