136 Why not Minx

I have been foolish. Letting my guard down was a mistake that was easily avoided. A restless act that I've should have never done after they had attack Min. Darkness decent over grandma and the scent of wolfsbane became stronger, it was as if was controlled. I hope that she was controlled and I search for a bond or and line. There was none.

This was bad.

Grasping at straws I tried to find a way out but there was none. The doors were lock. The windows were sealed and I felt a strong protection spell weaving over pulling us in place.

"Phi" I shouted expecting the sparkling sliver but nothing appeared.

"Don't even try, she's not coming. No one is coming. Once I kill you and act all broken over your body, no one will know. This room is made out of holly blessed wood. No magic is going to work in here. So don't bother trying." Grandmother snide.

In one quick move, the dagger grazed my throat, crimson blood dripping down onto the floor. I stumbled back looking for any other exit but there was none. This was truly a lock room.

"Stop grandmother, please." I pleaded.

"You are incredibly foolish. I've waited too long for this day." She smiled flashing white teeth as she push the dagger forward pacing the room.

"No,"

This wasn't good. I jerked my hand into the pocket coat and pull out a rather flashy scarf. I never wore it but kept it in my pocket for extreme circumstance. It was too ugly. The only redeeming quality is the strong enchantment so it should stop the bleeding and create a temporary shield.

I cross my heart and hope it worked.

Fortunately for me, there was light. It worked and I had time to move away from her.

"Stop this, please." I pleaded again.

"Do you know how many years did it taken me to find a way?" she asked snidely.

"No,"

"Sixteen long years, it was not easy. They stood in my way one too many times. So I had to find a way. Many were more than happy to help. Now, everything that should have been Diana's would become yours. I can't believe a" Grandmother snidely at me spitefully, "Minx would inherit everything,"

"She can have it. I don't want it." I said patiently.

It was true. Diana can have the position. I did not want it or anything to do with it. She really was better suited. She was well love and respected. The council had made it clear that they did not want me and I had already made one mess by standing by the will but what else could I have done in the situation. I knew my cousin would have been better but I've never question my aunts and I knew what they do was for the greater good.
