112 Meet up?

Malik took my hand from Hale's and brought it to his lips, his eyes darken to black. I felt power pushing over my skin. He meant me harm and my protection was fighting to take control. It hurt but I'll live that was the important part. I now knew why Knight had put so much effort into this and it made me want to run for the hills. It was a situation that even my aunts may not be able to dig me out off. They, after all, weren't the average wizard to witch. These males were another league in them self. Powerful men that compel others.

I pale against his touch but none of them notice that little fact or I hope they didn't. They were too busy greeting each other.

"Sorry love, there are too much on my plate now. I don't think we can do a weekend getaway but we can meet up sometime." Knight said coming to my rescue.

"Meet up?"

"Would you like to schedule for dinner? The three of us have always been close. I'd like to meet the lady that had taken him from us." He smiled but the look in his eyes as he glanced at Knight's direction was challenging.

I laugh and pulled my hand to a slight angle before smiling sweetly at them. None of the males know I was anything other than human. The smell of my skin was perfect to show off that we were loves so far it went according to plan.

"Later, let's talk business. Did you get Pike in the cube?" Knight asked distracting them from me.

Both the Malik and Hale nodded. It was more than that for me to know that this was all connected. I'll have to ask him afterward. My aunts knew but sometimes they don't tell me anything to keep me safe. Even when they send me out doing my duty to them but still I think this time I deserved to know if everyone was teaming up and putting their effort together was a big difference that I deserved to know off.

Hale shuddered. I could tell that it was going to be complicated. Then it was going to be hard and troublesome.

"There wasn't much to work with given what was delivered. I do have to give Selene credit. She does run an effective business. Even your Finex can't compare to the work and quality, she just had us our best lead in months." the Malik said.

"I'm afraid we may have to make a deal. I want you to work on this one and make it happen at any cost. I don't want to lose a seat."
