3 Consciousness or instinct?

"...(•̀ᴗ•́)و ̑̑..." the little seedling seemed to have learnt about emotions. How peculiar, it must've been born with an extra chromosome or so.

Flying across the horizon, the emotions felt by the little seedling resembled that of excitement and curiosity. From up here, it seemed to 'observe' several gigantic entities, specifically a tree whose size seemed to eclipse the world itself looming above a gathering of similarly sized plants.

The little seedling seemed to feel as sense of unexplainable familiarity. "...?..."

As the weird smelling wind dispersed, the seed found itself slowly descending towards a empty, lush looking clearing amidst the green expanse.

".. (*ﾟﾛﾟ).." slowly for a humans perspectives, but perhaps for the seed it looked like a plane crash? Either way, the little seedling seemed panicked!

*poof*

"..!!?.." there little buddy, it wasn't that bad was it?

Anyway, as all good rice seedlings should, when an empty plot of land exists, its time for you to break your shell and take root!

".. (•᷄ὤ•᷅)?.."

It seems the seedling has no idea how to take root. Are it's instincts not working properly? Curious indeed.@@
