"BEEP, BEEP"
Alarm beeped. Daniel woke up from the sleep, he looked shaky. After he lost his girlfriend in a car accident four years ago, he kept dreaming about her most of the night.
Daniel was a scientist, he was working in his own lab and she was his partner they were close friends, he didn't have time for engagement while he was busy with his experiments about another dimension and about the human soul. She helped him in every step and finally they found out with enough energy he can make a connection to another dimension. They were celebrating their discovery with their friends, on that day his friend John asked him about his experiments and what are they for?
"I am trying to create a path to connect to another dimension" Daniel explained to him.
"Why?" asked John.
John was their friend, he lived across the street from Sasha's house he doesn't knew much about science but he was interested in their work. He came often to their lab and talk to him and Sasha about their experiments.
Daniel started to explain him lightly.
"Well… you know about dimension of our world, and how many dimension we can feel, right?"
"Yeah, I know we see three dimensional world"
"Yes, but it's not just that, we can only see three dimensions of space and there is one dimension of time, so there is a total of four dimensions, Stephen Hawking explained about three dimensional world in his book a brief history of time'
One can describe the position of a point in space by three numbers, or coordinates. For instance, one can say that a point in a room is seven feet from one wall, three feet from another, and five feet above the floor. Like that an event is something that happens at a particular point in space and at a particular time, so one can specify it by four numbers or coordinates. Three coordinates of space and one of time'.
But it doesn't mean there are only four dimensions because we can't feel others, there are more dimensions than these, and it has been studied by mathematicians and philosophers for almost three hundred years. According to M-theory there is 10 dimensions of space and one dimension of time, a total of 11 dimensions, and that may be another world in that dimension and it may be close to us, so close to us that it may be only little ones in a millionth of centimeters away from our body and we can never find it or we can never feel it. Some say there will be human souls in that dimension. Maybe there are human souls in that dimension or in that world so close to us. My study is about these other dimensions."
"So you are trying to contact with ghosts?"
"No, no, I'm just trying to find a path to another dimension, it's all just theory; we have not made it practical yet"
"Well, good luck with your experiment, even though it sounds a little beyond this world"
"Yes, good luck Daniel, he is trying to do something that many of us tried and never able to do." It was Leonard, he worked with Daniel when he was at CERN, and they were friends for few years.
Daniel smiled at him and said thanks to them both.
After everybody left He told her how much he likes her. She was really pleased and she said she felt the same way the whole time.
They were a really happy couple for a few months, suddenly one day a tragic car accident took her away from him. It was a Friday, he was driving the car and she was with him on the front seat they were talking about their projects, he was looking at her face for a second then from nowhere the truck in front of them braked and made a quick turn, he didn't see it, he lost control and the car hit the side of the truck and rolled over for a few meters, she was dead on there at that spot, he was hospitalised for three months, even when he returned from the hospital he couldn't believe he lost her. He missed her every moment after that day.
After losing her, Daniel was gloomy for months, then he buried himself deep in his works after that, he doesn't have any interest in his social life, work was the only thing that kept him busy. And John sometimes helped him in his work. He was trying hard to make his project work, to create a path to another dimension he hoped that in that dimension he might find his wife and they can meet again. So he put his every breath on his work. Leonard came sometimes there and tried to cheer him up, Daniel discussed about his work's progress with him and shared some ideas, Leonard asked him if he ever tried to create a particle accelerator to achieve that high energy and asked him to work on that, Daniel agreed with him, Leonard said he has to go to Australia for some work and he will be staying there for some time.
After that day, his friend John came to his house and asked him about his experiments. Daniel talked to John about his work passionately;. John doesn't know that much about his work, but he came often to Daniel's lab and helped him most of the day.
Daniel worked on the Particle accelerator for months, and John really helped him in his experiments.
"So I am supposed to make a portal connected to this particle accelerator" Daniel told to John
"Ok."
"You know, it's like teleportation, a portal which will break you into tiny waves of zero intrinsic mass or very low mass and recreate you in another dimension through a wormhole, yes."
John doesn't understand most of the things that Daniel just said. But he shook his head supporting him.
They made a giant ring with copper coil all around it, by which three men can easily pass through it.
"This is the portal, I have to get into this ring and these accelerated waves will accelerates the speed of any matter that get into this, and when it reaches near the speed of light, by running high current through this coil we can create a high magnetic field, and this rotating wave will create a small portal like a wormhole in centre of this ring and this magnetic field will expand it into larger size so large amount of particles can pass through it, and if everything went right, I will probably in another dimension."
"But what will happen if it went wrong? "
"I don't know, nobody done anything like this before. First we have to check if everything is right. I want to know if I will be alive when I reach that dimension"
"How are we going to check that?"
"Like this, for every experiment before it does on an actual human being, it's done on some other living creature to check if it cause any harm"
Daniel showed a white box to John, through the glass door of that box John could see a rabbit in it, a digital timer was attached to the box; a thermal camera and a normal camera were put inside the box. A screen showed every movement of the rabbit and thermal image of that rabbit. He placed it on a robotic arm near the ring.
"John. Start the power"
John started the power and the particle accelerator turned on, the proton moving inside the accelerator was visualised on the computer screen.
"Speed, 50% of speed of light"
"60%"
"70%, 80%, 90%"
"99.99%"
"Ok, this is the time"
He gave the power supply to the coil and it started with humming, a small black dot was visible at the centre of the ring, Daniel had a controller attached to his arm with his watch, it looked like a large watch with a size of a floppy disk. He pressed some keys on that touch screen of his watch the humming of the coil became louder and the black dot at the centre became larger, it kept larger and larger until it reaches the size of that ring. Daniel looked into that portal and went near to it.
He pressed the key to run the robotic arm. It moved slowly into the portal with the box. When it entered the portal, the screen with the video of the rabbit and the thermal image went blank. Daniel looked at the other side of the ring to check if he can see the robotic arm on the other side, but there were none. That robotic arm placed the box inside that portal; it looked like the box and the arm was split into small pieces, like dematerialising and then the arm started to materialize and returned back.
Daniel and John waited for five hours. After five hours John said
"We have to check what happened to that rabbit now, would it be still there?"
Daniel pressed the keys on that robotic arm and it moved towards the portal and then it returned back with the box materializing in its hand. They turned off the machines and looked the rabbit, it was alive and the timer on that box showed the time when the box entered into the portal. Then they watched videos from the camera attached in the box, after it entered in the portal normal camera went blank at first and then shown nothing, it looked like as if the rabbit were disappeared but the thermal camera blinked at first and then shown the thermal image of the rabbit, like nothing ever happened to it.
"So our experiment is successful, life can get to the other dimension and can return without any harm, even though the time will not move in that dimension or maybe it moves too slow, I think it will do no harm to me" Daniel explained the observation to John.
"I think, that's it for today, I have to do some improvisation to this controller, we got some new findings from today's experiment." Daniel pointed to his large watch.
"John, I want you to be here tomorrow morning. I want your help"
"Ok. I will be here"
They finished that day's work and John went to his home, Daniel continued some work on his watch, then after finishing it he went to sleep, he thought "tomorrow, maybe I can see my Sasha again, No, I will see her again."
The next day he was eager to open the portal, John was there early in the morning they connected all their devices properly as planned,
"Are you sure you want to go into it now. I can go there for you?" John asked.
"No, I am absolutely sure about this, I want to go there. Please give me those cameras" Daniel pointed towards the two weird looking cameras at the table. John gave it to him.
"I hope I can get anything in that world using these things" Daniel hung those cameras on his shoulders.
"What are those things?" John asked.
"This one is thermal camera which will take thermal pictures of things as we saw of that rabbit, and if it doesn't work on the things in that dimension, I think this Kirlian camera will come useful, you know, using this advanced Kirlian camera I can get photos of human soul and aura of any living things. It shows the electromagnetic radiation of a body or coronal discharge of. And I got a DVR digital voice recorder; it will record sounds even if it doesn't audible to human"
"So it can capture pictures of ghosts and what they say." John doesn't believe that.
"May be, we have to be prepared, Oh, and I made some modification in this controller" He pointed towards his watch.
"Like what?"
"From the last day's experiment, I know that the gravitational pull is so much higher in that dimension so the time nearly stops in that dimension. You know there is four elementary forces in nature. One is Strong interaction, which is holding the neutron of an atom in the nucleus. There is Weak interaction, which creates radioactive decay. Then nuclear fusion and there is electromagnetic force and gravity, In that four elementary force three of them are so much stronger than gravity, Gravity is the only weak elementary force and scientists were always saying that most of the gravitational energy will be in some other dimension that's why gravity in our world is so much weaker than other elementary force in nature."
"So that gravity affects time?"
"Yes, experiments proved that by placing to the atomic clock at different sea levels, and the clock which placed higher, ran faster than the one placed closer to earth, because it was affected by less gravitational pull than the other one "
Daniel continued his lecture "So by my observation, I add something in this controller that it will provide a field around me which will continuously connect to this portal and this particle accelerator, by which I can break that gravitational field and I can create my own time field around me"
"So what good it would do?"
"That means, if I enter into that dimension, using this controller, I can travel through time"
"Like a time machine?" John was really curious about that.
"Yeah, like a time machine, But because I am in that fourth dimension, I can only see things in this world and I can't do anything to change it"
"Is it really possible?"
"I think so, now start it"
John turned on the machines, Daniel repeated the process he done before, first a black dot appeared at the centre a tiny worm hole created by the accelerated waves and it then expanded by the magnetic field by stretching it the black dot began growing larger and larger than the portal was open with a high humming noise.
"I have to note whatever happens in that dimension, using these recorders and cameras, you close this particle accelerator after I enter this portal and wait here for my return" Daniel shouted over the humming of that coil.
"Right"
"I can connect my controller with this portal only when I am in that dimension, because the portal is in-between these two dimensions, nothing can send through that dimension to this. I can only control the magnetic field of this coil once it started, I cannot cut the power line or turn on it. So when I reach there you should cut the power off to the Particle accelerator otherwise the portal can open from the other side by giving a high energy to it. And later I will send a signal to this portal from that dimension and you will hear the alarm, at that time I want you to restart the machine and open the portal for me"
"As you wish…"John said.
"Then wish me luck" Daniel entered into that portal.
John watched him disappearing inside that ring, he was splitting into small pieces like splitting into atoms and then into protons and electrons and then into quarks and leptons and he was gone the blackness was just there, then it became small and small finally it became just a black dot at the centre of that ring.
"Good luck" John whispered and he shut down the particle accelerator.
When Daniel entered into that portal he felt like every part of his body starts vibrating, every cell of his body started vibrating at high speed, then everything went black, then the vibration started to slow down and finally when it was over he felt like he lost his all weight like lighter than a feather.
He looked at him; he doesn't see much change in his body Just he felt as weightless. He was standing at the other side of that ring and John was there looking at the portal. Daniel looked at his controller on his watch; He knew it would work, when a thermal camera can capture pictures in this dimension he was sure his controller would work without a doubt. He pressed the keys on it for demagnetising the coil, the portal it became small and small finally it became just a black dot at the centre of that ring.
He walked near to John but John was shutting down the accelerator, Daniel knew that John couldn't see him or hears him he tried to touch him, but his hand just went through John's chest.
Daniel took a digital voice recorder from his pocket, it looked fine. He started recording his observation "I think, I have very low mass, even though I have a physical body it is split in to weightless particles so I can't touch anything in natural world (three dimensional world)." And he took the thermal camera and turned it on and started recording himself and John to see if it is working, it was working fine and he can see his image and John's image in thermal camera. Then he took the Kirlian camera out and he put his fingers in the hole on that camera and took a picture of it. "I have to develop this photo when I return", He carefully looked at that image and he put those cameras back in his pocket.
He thought "I can go anywhere I want. First I need to find Sasha's soul in this dimension?"
He went near to the door and walked right through it, and walked to the living room, Sasha was standing there with a smile on her face; she said "I thought I would wait here for you"
"But how? How did you know?"
"You don't know, I was always watching you, I'm always with you"
"You were with me this whole time? While I was miserable because I can't see you anymore"
"You know, I will always be with you, if I could say anything to you or do anything to show you that back then, I could have done it, but you know I can't do anything and you don't know how I felt watching you like that." Sasha looked in pain explaining things to him.
"I was sure about my experiment. This is why I have done this whole thing, just to see you"
He moved closer to her and tried to touch her face, he felt like touching the melted plastic it got real hot on his hand, he felt like if he tried to touch her face harder, then his hand will go through her face. He suddenly retrieved his hand.
"What's that? I am here in this dimension, why is it burning when I touch you?"
"Because, you may be in this dimension, but you do not belong here, you have a physical body Daniel; I am a soul, just pure energy with a conscious mind. I don't have any mass or a body and you have it. It doesn't matter how much smaller your physical mass is, but your body will always be a physical body it cannot contact with pure energy, even though I minimised my energy, if your physical body contact with pure energy for long, it will harm your body."
Daniel looks confused "oh, don't worry, still I can see, hear you and can touch you"
She smiled at him, they looked at each other's eyes for a few moments and finally Daniel started to speak "I don't know what to say to you, is this really happening? Is there anybody else in here?"
"Yes this is happening, you made it happen. And there are other souls here, other souls like me who trapped here till they get what they want."
"Trapped here? What do you mean by trapped here?"
"This is not the only 'other dimension' Daniel, Here we can only see souls or ghost whose waiting here to see something happen that complete their life, or some doesn't understand how did they reached here, there are other dimensions, I think that is the real final place, some people call it heaven and hell. Here you see people who have some unfinished business in our world; they will go to next dimension as soon as they figure out how to do that"
"What? Heaven and hell?" Daniel was confused.
"Yes, that's what they call it. I think it is some other dimension, in which we can create our own world using our energy, I have got an idea about all those things"
"Tell me about it all"
"I will, but first I want you to see this world and watch everything I show you, come with me" She holds his hand and they run through the walls of the outer world, his hand felt really hot where she holds
"Now I am going to show you some people, a couple actually, they both died on their honeymoon"
"How?" Daniel asked.
"They don't know actually how? That's why they are here when they found about what actually happen to them I think they will go to the next world. They are far away we have to travel a lot to reach them, here we can move really can you keep up with me with that?" she pointed to the controller on his wrist.
"I can" In this dimension he had no measurable weight, so he knew he can move fast. He pressed key to create a magnetic field around him, and he tried to energise inside that field. "This will give enough push to move really fast, I made this to some other purposes, now, lead my way" Daniel asked Sasha to show where they would want to go. She said to follow her. She started to walk, it was really fast it was like flying in high speed he tried to run behind her, suddenly everything moved fast they were moving really fast, he couldn't see anything around him but he didn't lose focus on Sasha, he followed her to the destination.
They reached a valley and they stopped near a cliff, it was a beautiful sight near the cliff a young couple were there holding their hands.
"Does it possible for two souls to touch each other?" he asked Sasha, pointing at those couples.
"No, look at their hands."
He looked at their hands then he saw it, their hand they were moving through each other, they wanted to touch each other and hold their hand together but they couldn't
"It's like trying to touch air. Without a physical body, we can't touch each other. You didn't want to be in this world for long, we all want to go to the next dimension, I think in that world we can touch and fell each other, and we can live a happy life there"
"So why can't they just go in the next dimension?"
"It is not easy you know, it will take very much high energy and if soul reaches that much energy he can't return to this world anymore and he will be in that world forever even if it is a heaven or hell"
"I didn't understand anything" Daniel was really confused.
"I will tell you everything, first we should meet them" she and he moved towards that couple and Sasha called them "Rob, Clair"
Both of them turned and looked at them and smiled "I told them everything about you and your experiment" Sasha whispered in his ear.
Rob and Clair greeted them with a full heart "hey, Sasha and good to see you Daniel, 'Not Dead'."
Daniel smiled at them.
"Sasha told everything about you, we were hoping to see you soon I am Rob and this is my wife Clair" Rob was really friendly "oh, and don't tell anyone else you are not dead, we don't know what they will do if they knew it, even though I didn't think anybody in here will be interested about you. In here, no one care about anyone else. They just care about themselves and watching the life of other living persons, whom they want to, so if anything happens in that living person's life which will complete the death of their own so they can go to heaven"
"I didn't understand what you mean" Daniel said to him.
"Sasha will tell you everything, she is the only one who can explain it you in a scientific way." Rob looked at Sasha while speaking this.
"We don't want to see the life of anyone living, we just cared about ourselves, and we don't have anything else to do like these other souls in here. Like your girlfriend, they all watch their loved one's life carefully. Watching them every moment to see if anything happens in their life" Rob kept talking.
"Sorry, my husband will become so chatty if he got anyone to talk to, that's how your wife and we became friends" Clair finally began to speak.
"It's ok, I am really curious about this world, how did you reach here?"
"Well, we were on our honeymoon and we were celebrating that in here at this valley, and we came here to get a view of this place, at the edge of this cliff suddenly something went wrong and I fall into this" Rob pointed to the endless bottom of that cliff. "Then suddenly Clair also falls into this, she doesn't know what happened either, whether someone pulled us from the cliff or if she jumped after me"
"Our life could not be complete without knowing how we died, that's why we are stuck here" Clair said.
"They are my only friends in here" Sasha told Daniel "everyone else doesn't even bother to look at others, just me and them."
"If we can do any help with your experiments we will be happy to do it" Rob said to Daniel.
"Oh, no, nothing, actually you don't have to do anything, I just wanted to check if you guys are visible through these cameras" Daniel took both cameras from his pocket and tried to capture image of them. The thermal camera shown nothing, it has been just blue screen in it like taking thermal images of ice pool.
"No, this is not working for you, Let me check if this work" Daniel took the Kirlian camera out "can you please put your fingers in this camera" He showed the camera to them.
"Of course" Rob placed his fingers inside that camera and Daniel started to take pictures of his finger.
"I think this camera can capture images of the human soul. I just have to get into my world and develop these images" Daniel recorded his observation in digital voice recorder.
"Then, I think we helped whatever we can do with you, we are leaving you two alone now, see you later then. " Rob and Clair went quickly from there like flying at high speed, within a second they were gone.
"Wow, you all can move really fast" Daniel said to Sasha.
"We are just energy without any body mass; you know that we can move fast"
"Now, I want to know about the whole thing, about this heaven and hell and all."
"Ok, as far as I know, this heaven and hell is another dimension, a fifth dimension of space, I think, in which we can create our own world with our conscious mind and once we enter into that dimension we will be stuck there forever"
"How it became hell and heaven?"
"I actually don't know, but I have a theory, to enter into that dimension it would take a large amount of energy, more than what it takes you to be here, only souls can enter into that dimension. You know that we have a conscious mind. We are pure energy with conscious mind it is soul. So when we felt really happy or if we really regret to feel remorse it will make our energy level increase so when it reaches its peak then there is no turning back, that time the energy level will be so high that the soul will create a worm hole itself in this dimension and they go to the next dimension through that, whatever they felt when they enter into that dimension that felling will be there with them in that world forever. If you felt happy when you enter into that dimension, you will create a happy world in that dimension, there will be everything that makes you happy, so it becomes heaven. And if you felt guilty when you enter in that dimension you will feel guilt for the whole time in there and you will find ways to punish yourself in there, terrible ways, so it will be like in hell. Once you reach that much energy you can't get back from that. You will be stuck in there forever."
"I don't understand if you want to go to heaven then what stops you from getting there? Even if you have done some terrible things you have to fell not guilty for it then you can go to heaven right?"
"No, if you have done something you can hide it from anyone else but not from yourself. Once you realise what you have done, it will be in your mind, you can't pretend otherwise. We are souls Daniel; we have nothing to hide from ourselves."
"You don't think I can get to that dimension using my portal" Daniel asked her.
"Your portal was not designed for that, but with enough energy maybe your soul can get there but not like this, No physical body can get there"
"Why are you still here, why didn't you reach peak energy?"
"You know, to reach that high level there should be something that completes your life. You know why I am stuck here in this world, because of you."
"Because of me?"
"Yes, because of you, I can't leave this world watching you like this, You are so miserable and I feel I am responsible for that, I can only go to next world only if you start a normal life and live a happy life, I can't go anywhere watching you like this. I am gone, you have to accept that truth and move on with your life then only I can rest in peace, if you spend the rest of your life like this I will be stuck here until you die. You know, I don't like this, every day watching you like this"
"I don't know how can I do that, I tried but I can't, please forgive me, I didn't know it would cause you this."
"You have to promise me that when you get into your world you will start a normal life"
"I will try, but I can't promise you anything now"
"At least you have to try"
"I will, Now tell me how one will go to hell"
"Right, look there, there is a man standing there a giant guy with a horrible face, His name is Simon" Sasha pointed to the distance, there was a huge guy standing there. He was watching a woman (she was a living woman in the three dimensional world).
"What about him?"
"He is going to hell for sure"
"Why"
"Because, he is a serial killer, he raped killed more than eight girls and that woman he is looking at was one of his prey but she escaped from him when one policeman reached there and shot him before he kill her, she is the only one who ever escaped from him and now he is waiting for him to die. When she dies he will feel that every one of his victims is dead and deep inside his mind that thought will burn him forever, that is hell, that burning for ever."
Daniel looked at him; he thought that guy looked at him too. Suddenly that guy started to move fast and just vanished from his sight
"Where did he go?"
"I don't know, maybe somewhere he just wants to" Sasha said.
"Hey I want to ask you something, what will happen if I stay here, and then we can be together forever" Daniel asked.
"Like this" Sasha tried to touch his face and he felt that burning sensation on his face. "Look I can't even touch you without hurting you. I don't want to be like this forever, I want to rest in peace Daniel, and after your life is over in your world we can be together in that Fifth dimension world forever, there we can live happily, even if we don't have a physical body I can touch you again in there."
"I want to be with you, in this world or in any other world"
"You will be" Sasha comforted him.
"Can you just come to our world, our normal three dimensional world with me?" Daniel asked hopefully.
"I don't know, I don't think that low gravity in there will hold us like this in here"
"I have a way to find out that" Daniel showed his watch, "Using this controller I can accelerate my speed and by reaching near light speed I can travel through time and I can see the future. Now first you must decide that you will come with me to my world then only this will show that what happens when you come with me, I think the future will change according to our current decisions"
"Ok, I have decided to come with you, now let's see what happens if I came?" Sasha asked.
Daniel pressed the keys to create the force field around him and it did, Sasha watched him when the magnetic field created around him she doesn't see any change in him, then he started to increase the speed in that magnetic field and everything went really fast around him still Sasha doesn't feel anything happening to him.
He watched everything happening real fast 'he watched himself and Sasha were standing there then they were going near to the portal, Daniel pressed a key on his controller to notify John and John started the machines then the portal opened Daniel first entered into it and went to the three dimensional world John was there waiting for him eagerly. Then Sasha entered the portal and a the moment she entered in the normal world her body start to glow and Daniel watched her exploding with a burst of light John and Daniel can't even see it because of that exploding light, they were covering their eyes with their hands, glasses of the windows shattered with a loud noise when that exploding force hit them, then everything went calm and silent, Sasha was gone, her energy was spread to the world and there was no sign of her.'
Daniel watched everything in horror, helpless to do anything, he tried to touch the other Daniel but his hand went right through him. Then he felt a burning in his chest and he saw a hand coming through his chest, it was Sasha's hand and he suddenly came back to his present time using that controller, Sasha was trying to touch his heart.
"What happened? You seemed like something horrible happened there"
"Didn't you see anything, that things I just watched didn't you?"
"No, I don't think anyone outside that field can see what you saw, I just watched you staring at that portal and suddenly it looked like someone hit you on your head"
"I just found out, souls can't go to the three dimensional world, you were right, that low gravity wouldn't hold you together in there, it was like an explosion, all you energy were released into the nature with a blast."
"I told you, we couldn't be together until your time in that world is over, Go get back to your world Daniel, I want to see you living your life like nothing happened."
"No, I wouldn't leave you; I don't want to leave you"
"You can come back later, but you have to go now, It is better for you, It's like your body exposed to radiation in here, longer you stay here it will cause damage to your body, now please go."
"Right, I will leave now, but I will come back tomorrow"
Daniel and Sasha went near to the portal Daniel send a message to that portal, an Indicator in the lab blinked John was taking a nap on the sofa, he woke up when the buzzer beeped, he looked at his watch, It was seven hours after Daniel left, he went to the power supply and turned it On and the coils started that humming noise, Daniel was saying goodbye to Sasha while John opened the Portal. When Daniel turned towards the portal it was already in the size, through which he can easily walk. Daniel took a step into that Portal and looked back at Sasha, before that world disappearing from his sight, he saw someone watching him from a distance, it was another soul, he thought it might be Rob and Clair then everything went black and he was back in his world again.
When Daniel entered into his world John was there anxious, looking at the portal holding a giant metal road which was the remaining of the parts which used to build the magnetic coils, He was waiting to hit anything that comes from that portal, when he saw something coming in there ,he hold that metal road high in the air just about to strike, Daniel saw it he suddenly shouted
"Wait, John it's just me. Hold it."
"Is there anything or anyone coming after you?" John was looking at the portal behind Daniel.
"No, just me, but I have to close this before anyone comes here. I think I saw someone looking at me"
Daniel closed the portal using the controller; John dropped the road and turned off the power
"Someone? Is there other people there?" John asked
"No, not people, just souls. I was right John, human souls exist and after one dies it goes into the fourth dimension"
"What are saying? Did you find Sasha there? Why was she not coming back here?"
"I saw, Sasha and there are many human souls there, none of them can enter our world, it would destroy them, if I stayed there long it would destroy me too."
"I didn't understand anything, tell me all"
Daniel explained all to John, John was really curious when he found out about hell and heaven and how souls are waiting there for their chance.
"So you are saying that some ghosts in there don't even know how they died and that's because that they can't go to heaven?"
"Not me, they told me that"
Then Daniel explained everything that happened in there and how he saw the future and what happens if one soul enters into this world
"I think I saw someone looking at me when I was just about to get back here, if any soul ever enters in to this world it will be bad, I have to find a way to stop that. I have to find a way to completely shut down or terminate these machines using this controller, so next time when I enter into that world and if anything goes bad I should be able to destroy all these machines from their"
"Wait, you are going back there, again?"
"Yeah, tomorrow, and you should help me John, but first we have to see if we got any evidence to prove my findings" He took the cameras and the DVR from his pocket. Then they examined them, they found out that the DVR got a very low audible voice of the souls' speech and when they developed the Images of the Kirlian camera, they got the pictures of Daniel's fingers and Rob's Fingers too. Daniel's fingers looked blue colour in that picture but Rob's were bright red. They analysed everything from their discovery.
"Do you know what change this would make in the scientific world?"Daniel asked to John.
"Many questions will be solved and many questions will rise to be solved."
"Tomorrow, can I come with you to that dimension? I want to see it all?" John asked.
"We will see what I can do with this controller otherwise someone has to stay here for manually staring and shutting down the portal"
After that long day Daniel and John went to sleep. John stayed in Daniel's home that night, they both were waiting anxiously for tomorrow.
Next day when John woke and searched for Daniel he didn't find him in his bedroom, then he went to the lab, Daniel was there doing some work on the portal. He was some more copper coils in there.
"Good morning John, I heard some noise last night, but when I woke up, I found nothing, you were sleeping there, I didn't want to disturb you more, I couldn't sleep after that so I came here and did some work on this and added some new features to my controller" he showed his controller watch.
"Like what?"
"Oh, I just added some more coils to increase the power of this portal so it can withstand more energy and I added a self termination feature in my controller, so I can destroy this thing in one touch if any problem occurs, but I have to reach this dimension first. Otherwise you have to manually shut down all these devices from here"
"What? I have to stay here, how come I didn't get a chance to be there, in that world?"
"You will, but first I have to go there and check everything is all right"
After their work they had some breakfast and after that they headed to the lab again. When they entered in the lab Daniel pointed towards two indicators connected to the portal a red one and a green one.
"You stay here. If anything went wrong I will send a signal to this portal. If the green indicator is ON you should start the power of these machines and open the portal, if it blinks red for first time minimise the power of the coil and kill the power to the accelerator so the portal can't open, and wait for the second indication, if it is green you should open the portal as fast as you can. I will come here and Terminate all this by myself or if it shows the red indicator for the second time you have to shut down all these devices and destroy everything manually. It would take at least two minutes to manually. Don't wait for me, if any soul found out the portal, there is a chance that they could open it using the energy of them"
"I will do as you say" John said.
"If everything is all right back there, I will return here and I will give this controller to you and then you can go there"
"Then teach me how to use the controller" John asked Daniel.
Daniel showed him how to open the portal and close it using the controller and how to create the field around him so he can move fast.
"Let me go first and check everything" John suggested.
"No, you don't have enough knowledge about this controller; I have added some new things to this. First I have to get there and then I will set this device for your use, then you can go. Is that all right?"
"All right, then you go first"
John and Daniel started the machines it started with the usual humming noise, then the portal was open Daniel went near to the portal and looked back at John
"See you later, John"
Then he entered into that portal and John watched everything happening to Daniel like before, once Daniel were completely disappeared the portal started to shrink and finally it became a small black dot in the centre of that portal.
INTERVAL....
Daniel entered into the fourth dimension.
"Fourth spatial dimension, day two" Daniel said to himself.
Sasha was waiting there for him. She greeted him with a warm smile. He went near tried to touch her face, that time John reduced the power of the portal, it became a small dot at the centre.
"I couldn't wait to see you again, I couldn't sleep, I was thinking about you all the time"
"I know."
They looked into each other's eyes suddenly Daniel remembered something.
"Hey, I have to see Rob and Clair; I think I can help them to find out how they died"
"What, you found a way, but how? "
"I increased the power in the magnetic field that this controller make, so now I can travel to the past too" He held his hand in which he wore the controller towards her face.
"So you can see how they died?"
"Right, first we have to reach that cliff where they died and I want to know the exact time and date they died."
"We can ask them now, they are right there, at that cliff" Sasha told.
Daniel pressed keys on that controller and the field created around him. He looked at Sasha, she began to move quickly towards Rob and Clair, Daniel went after her, and they reached there within a fraction of a second.
Rob and Clair were there at the top of that cliff watching ordinary people in the three dimensional world, there were many couples enjoying the view, Rob and Sasha were talking about the day that they died and how they enjoyed the view of that cliff like the other people there.
When Sasha and Daniel went near to them, they turned and looked at Daniel with a happy face.
"Hey, you came back" Rob greeted him.
"Yes, oh, I have something for you, I found a way to help you guys" Daniel said to Rob and Clair.
"What help?" Clair asked.
"I can figure out how you died, you have to tell me the exact location and time of your death"
"How you can you find out about our death by just knowing the time and location?"
"I can, believe me"
Rob stayed there looking at Daniel for a moment, thinking something, and then he spoke
"Ok. We died falling from there" Rob pointed his finger to the north end of the cliff.
"We were watching this beautiful view of sunset from there, there was that fence on the edge of that cliff me and Clair were standing near to that fence, then all of a sudden I fell into that deep rock bottom. And Clair fall after me"
"What was the date and Time?"
"IT was July 21, 2010, I don't remember the exact time, and it was sunset"
"OK, let me check that day" Daniel adjusted the timer in his controller to that day.
"Do you think it is a good Idea, I think we are happy here." Clair asked.
"Honey, we both want to know how we died, do we." Rob asked her.
"Now, I can see that day and I will tell you what happened after I watch it" Daniel said to them.
An energy field created around Daniel and he pressed the keys to accelerate power in that field. Then he was travelling backwards in time, by increasing the power of that field he was able to travel faster than before, it enabled him to go back in time and places he wanted.
Rob, Clair and Sasha watched him doing his works, his eyes were looking at the north point of that cliff, and then he suddenly moved to that location. They were looking at Daniel they saw nothing else, but another soul was watching them and they didn't know it.
Daniel was at that cliff the day was July 21st 2010, he saw Rob and Clair at the north point of that cliff they were watching the sunset, and there were only three people at that north point including Rob and Clair, there was another man standing near them. When Clair and Rob moved near to the edge of that cliff the other man was standing right next to them, and then Clair looked at the other man behind Rob's back and shook her head as if she is agreeing something, the man was close to Rob he suddenly pushed rob from the back Rob doesn't know what happened his face became pale white for a second while his foot slipped then he was falling from that cliff to that deep bottom of that cliff.
Clair smiled at the other man "well done Toby" She said to the other man and she went near to the fence where her husband just fall, and looked at that bottom where he fell, Then Toby came behind her and all of sudden he Pushed her from that fence, she doesn't even knew what was coming before she understand what happened, her head hit the rock on the bottom of that cliff.
Daniel doesn't believe his eyes; he doesn't understand anything he saw. "What happened, why did that man pushed both of them from that cliff, it looks like Clair killed her husband"
He adjusted the timer on that controller in a little way back slowly, and then he saw everything moving backwards time was moving in opposite directions. He followed Clair to wherever she went, All of the people were walking backwards Rob and Clair were holding hands then they were walking backwards to the hotel, Daniel watched everything like watching a video playing in reverse. Daniel moved the timer faster, now he was standing in their bedroom it early morning, Daniel stopped the timer and hit normal key, the time was moving as usual, Rob and Clair were sleeping on their bed then Clair woke up she looked at Rob he was sleeping, she got away from the bed and took her phone and called texted someone.
Then she dressed without waking Rob and went to another room, Toby was there, she hugged him.
"Morning Toby, why are you looking tensed"
"Clair, I don't want to do this, please, I always loved you when we were together. But now you are his wife. And I got a wife now"
"I don't want to live with him now Toby, I just want his money. I only loved you, after you do this work we can leave this place together and with his money we can live happily ever after. "
"I can't kill a man, please"
"If you don't do this I will tell your wife about us, I got some pictures of us together you know, some private photos, and then you will lose everything, your wife, your family, everything. If you are with me you will have me and money otherwise you will end up losing everything"
Toby looked worried and finally he agreed with her, Clair kissed him and wished him goodbye after she went Toby sat there thinking, and then he whispered to him "yes, that is the only way."
Clair reached her room, Rob was still sleeping, and she woke him up.
"Hey, we have a lot to do today, we have to go to special restaurant I told you about and then after all our trip we can watch the sunset from that cliff, and it is a beautiful view"
"Yes dear, this day is yours"
Rob woke up and kissed Clair then went to the bathroom, after he left Clair called Toby.
"Evening on the north corner of the cliff, do as per we planned." And she disconnected the call.
Rob was dump struck, everything he thought about Clair was wrong .She may forget about everything and she doesn't know how she died or she knows everything about Rob's death and doesn't tell him, that's why she was against the idea him searching for how Rob died. Daniel dialled the controller to the present time.
Daniel was back at the present time Sasha, Rob and Clair was watching him, he looked at them.
"Oh, you are back. We didn't know when it will get over, we thought it would take a while" Rob said.
Daniel didn't know what to tell him, he looked at Clair's face it looked troubled, she doesn't believe Daniel could see the past she doesn't remember anything about his death or her.
"Either she doesn't remember it for real, or she thinks even if I saw the past, Rob falls from that cliff, I could only see Toby pushes him from the cliff and there is no way I knew about her "Daniel thought about what will be Clair thinking now.
"Did you see how it happened? How we died?" Rob asked.
Daniel took a deep breath. "Yes, someone pushed you from that cliff"
"Someone, who? And why?"
Daniel looked at Clair face; she knew that Daniel knows all about her
"NO "she whispered through her lips.
"It was Clair, your wife, she was all behind this, and she married you only for your money and made his boyfriend kill you" Daniel told it one breath.
"You, did this to me? You killed me? After all I loved you, but you… You knew this all the time and doesn't told me?" Rob shouted in her face.
"Please, I'm sorry, I didn't know… I didn't remember… or maybe he is lying" Clair pleaded, she knew deep in her mind that she has done something wrong, but she didn't want to believe it.
"No, I'm not lying, her boyfriend pushed you from the cliff because she told him to do it, you know what he didn't love you, Toby didn't love you Clair, he wanted to finish all his problems so he killed you too…"
"NO, I didn't believe this, he will never do it" Clair was mumbling.
"So you now remember Toby, I have done nothing bad to you, If you didn't love me, you could have told me, all this time I loved you, and I thought you loved me too" Rob's body started to flicker it was glowing too. There was a bright white light coming from Rob's chest.
"I have been stuck in this world because of you, because I thought you loved me, now I know the truth. Now at last, I can rest in peace" That white light from Rob's chest grew larger and larger.
Daniel tried to look at him he thought he can see white clouds through that light. Rob's face was peaceful; he was smiling as if he understands everything about his life. That white light became really bright and it swallowed him completely.
Daniel looked at the place where Rob had been standing a moment ago, he was not there, and He knew Rob went to the next dimension.
"He would be in Heaven now, I saw his face, it was peaceful, happy, and he will be there for sure" Daniel thought.
Then Daniel looked at Clair, she was standing there staring at where Rob stood, she was whispering something.
"Rob doesn't want me… and Toby…" Clair looked at Daniel her face was scared, she knew what is going to happen to her, She let out a cry then suddenly a burning red flame was growing from her chest.
"No…" She was crying loud with agony that the fire grew larger and larger and it burned her into nothing, Clair was gone too, Daniel thought he could still hear a cry from a distant…
"She would be burning from the guilt she fell and forever she has to suffer" Clair said to Daniel.
Daniel was trying to accept what he just saw; it was a whole new experience for him, to see the existence of another dimension, to see the existence of hell and heaven, he was petrified, then from nowhere another soul came appeared in front of them, he was a man, looked nearly thirty. His eyes were wide open he looked like he had to say something.
"You are not dead, I saw you coming from the real world" That man said.
Daniel and Sasha looked confused; Daniel didn't know what to tell him, he was wondering if he could tell the truth to a total stranger.
"I am Alan, I am not here to do any harm to you, I just need a favour from you" he said
"What favour?" Daniel asked.
"I want to see my son, I just want to see him for the last time and I want to talk to him, please let me help to get into the real world, please"
Daniel looked at him then he looked at Sasha, they both were startled by the sudden appearance of Alan, they wondered how he knew about him. Then Sasha spoke for Daniel.
"We can't do anything for that, souls cannot enter the real world"
"Please don't say that, I saw him going to the real world, if he can do it, then how can't we?" Alan pleaded.
Daniel felt danger, he slowly pressed the key to send Caution signal to the portal, he thought if Alan is going to threaten him and tried to do anything he will send the second signal so John can close the portal for ever and if anything happens, no souls can get into the three dimensional world.
"Alan, it is different for a soul and me, I am not a soul, I have a body, that's why I am capable to go to that world, and if you went to that world it would destroy you the moment you enter there." Daniel said to him.
"That's why she is staying here, if I could get to bring any soul to that world, I would bring her first"
Alan stayed silent for the whole time, he was thinking whether he is telling the truth, then finally he said.
"Right, I believe you, but if you found out a way to get any soul to reach there, tell me first." Alan was disappointed.
"Sure, I will tell you first" Daniel confronted him.
"Were you looking at me last day, when I went back to that world?" Daniel asked him.
"No, I just saw you coming here few minutes ago, through that round thing." Alan said and after thanking them, Alan went somewhere else. Daniel and Sasha felt a huge relief.
"I thought he would try to kill me for him to get there" Daniel told Sasha.
"Is there any way to help him, like you helped Rob?" Sasha asked
"I don't know Rob just wanted to know his past, if it's like that I could tell him how he died, but he wants to get into the real world."
"Did you ever saw how I died? Do you know how it's happened?"
"I don't want to see it, it's my mistake, I took off my eyes from the road for a second, that's why it's all happened, I am the reason for your death" Daniel felt the pain in his heart, every time he thought about her death.
"No, it was not your mistake, the truck in front of our car made a sudden break, even if you were looking at the road, it would not make any change, and you couldn't do anything that fast." Sasha tried to put some sense to him.
"Just see what happened then, for one time" Sasha said.
"No, I can't" Daniel feared if he watch the past, it will show that his mistake leads to her death.
"You must, then only you will be free from all of these guilty feelings in your heart, then only you will get over me."
"I never want to get over you" Daniel said.
"You must, please, for me, for the sake of my soul, do it." Sasha pleaded in front of him.
"Right, but if I found out it's because of me, then I don't know how can I forgive myself."
Then Daniel adjusted the time dial of the controller to the time and date of the accident, and then he looked at Sasha.
"I am sure about this" She said.
Daniel pressed the keys and that field created around him, once again everything went back really fast.
He was driving the car and Sasha was with him on the front seat, they were really happy to be together, they were speaking about their project, and he took his eyes from the road and looked at her face for one second, at that moment the truck in front of them hit a sudden break, and made a quick turn, Daniel didn't see it, he lost control and the car hit the side of the truck and rolled over for a few meters. Daniel watched it all happening.
"Sasha was right there is no way I could have avoided that accident. That truck caused the accident, why would it make such a turn." Then he remembered that nobody ever found out what truck hit them. So Daniel turns back the time once again to that time and watched the accident again.
This time he doesn't look at his car, he looked that truck which hit them, he watched it braking and making a turn for no reason, it was like that truck really made that accident on purpose.
"Yes, that truck really done that on purpose, It tried to kill me whoever drive that truck, he tried to kill us" Daniel thought.
He moved really fast to reach the front of that truck, to see who was driving it, Daniel reached there and looked inside the truck, he saw a man driving that truck, and he looked carefully.
"No way…" Daniel made a huge gasp, he felt like his head is spinning. It was all surreal, John was driving that truck.
After the accident he looked back from the truck to their car and drove his truck fast to distance.
"Why would he do that?" Daniel thought.
At that time the controller in his arm showed indication of the portal being open, Daniel quickly came back to the present time. The portal was open and someone came through that portal. Daniel knew it would be John
"Why would he try to kill us? And why would he come here even after I sent the Caution signal?" Daniel thought.
"What happened?" Sasha asked.
"It is John" Daniel said.
"John, what did he do?" Sasha was confused.
"It was John who tried to kill us and now he entered this dimension without my permission" Daniel looked at the controller screen the portal was still open.
"What John..? Why..?" Sasha couldn't believe what she hears.
"I don't know, I have to stop him before he does anything" Daniel closed the portal using the controller and pressed some keys in it.
"AUTO TERMINATION ACTIVATED"
Controller displayed a termination message.
"I can't destroy the portal from here, I have to get back to my world to close everything permanently or he can open the portal using the energy of souls in here, come on, we have to move fast" Daniel pressed the keys on the controller, then he was moving fast towards the portal and Sasha followed him.
John was waiting near the portal for Daniel to come back so he can go there and see Sasha again. He loved her as far as he can remember. She lived in that house across the street from his home. She was cute and intelligent person, a rare combination of beauty and wisdom. He liked her very much so he went to her home often and chatted with her, and then there was another guy a scientist like her, John asked her about him she said his name is Daniel and he is her friend and colleague, John thought that there was nothing else is between them. They were doing experiments together and John went there almost every day, just to see Sasha and talk to her, they thought he was interested in science but his only interest was Sasha. He listened to her carefully. Daniel told him that they were working on some project about finding the soul of dead people in another dimension during a celebration party. He was fascinated by that idea. But after that night everything changed.
After that night John heard that Daniel and Sasha were together, that they love each other and now they are two adorable couples. His heart was broken that day, he knew he didn't have a chance against Daniel he is smarter than him, they were best friends. After that doesn't go to their home. He envied Daniel he wanted her to love him not Daniel, he thought about how he can make her to love him and forget Daniel. There was a way, Daniel should go, he should leave her, but it looks like he is never going to leave her. Then there was only one other way he had to kill Daniel, after he died Sasha would be his, only his. May be it would take some time, but she will be his finally.
"Daniel will come to her home to pick her Friday night, he will be alone on the way" John thought.
He waited in a truck on the way to Sasha's home, he saw Daniel's car coming and he drove his truck in front of the car, they both were driving so fast, John watched Daniel's car in the mirror, it was close to his truck and they were driving real fast, John then suddenly hit the brakes and turned the truck to the car's side it hit the side of the truck and rolled over, he watched the car for a second and then he drove fast away from there, he hoped it was over with Daniel.
Next day morning he got a call from his neighbour and then he knew what have he done, it was a total mess, he felt really terrible, he lost the one he loved, the only thing that made any grief to him was when he thought about Daniel, he felt that if he can't have her then no one should. He was coping with the loss he had while Daniel was suffering from his loss. Then one day he saw Leonard coming out of Daniel's house.
Then John recalled what Daniel told about the experiments they were doing, "it was about meeting the souls of dead persons in some other dimension or something."
There was a chance for John to see Sasha again, he wanted to see her and tell her how he felt about her, and even though she is dead he thought she must know about his love and how much he loved her. So he went to Daniel's house and asked him about his experiments, he said he would help Daniel in every step of his experiment, which was the only chance for him to let her know about him.
They both tried hard to create the portal. Once it's been built, John thought he can go into that world and see Sasha but Daniel went to that world first, after Daniel entered to that dimension John thought about 'what would happen if he see her. "Does she know that I killed her, and if she knows that, then she will tell that to him for sure" John thought. John took a metal road from the lab. "I have to finish him before he tells everything to anyone else" John thought. He waited there for a long time there he felt tired waiting there for long, after hours waiting there he fell asleep on the sofa in that lab, hours later Daniel sent a message to that portal, an Indicator in the lab blinked John woke up when the buzzer beeped, he looked at his watch, It was seven hours after Daniel left, he went to the power supply and turned it On and the coils started that humming noise and waited for Daniel with that metal club in his hand. He opened the portal, it grew larger and larger, then Daniel started to appear in front of that portal. John waited to see if Sasha is coming back, when he saw Daniel coming in there he hold that metal road high in the air just about to strike, Daniel saw it he suddenly shouted
"Wait, John it's just me. Hold it."
At that moment John felt that Daniel doesn't know anything about him he felt huge relief, "Daniel doesn't know, that means Sasha doesn't know anything about me either" John thought.
"Is there anything or anyone coming after you?" John asked looking at the portal behind Daniel.
"No, just me, but I have to close this before anyone comes here. I think I saw someone looking at me"
Daniel closed the portal using the controller; John dropped the road and turned off the power.
Then Daniel explained everything that happened in there and how he saw the future and what happens if one soul enters into this world. There was still a chance for John to see Sasha; he had to go to that dimension. That night John tried so hard not to do anything to Daniel he woke up and opened the door of his room then he though "if I kill Daniel now, I can't see her for eve, I have to wait until I get that word" then he closed the door. That sound of the closing door woke Daniel up.
Next day when John woke and searched for Daniel he didn't find him in his bedroom, then he went to the lab, Daniel was there doing some work on the portal. He asked Daniel about getting him into that dimension and Daniel said he has to check before sending him there, so John waited there for Daniel to check if everything is all right in that dimension, but before going into that world Daniel explained him about the working of the controller and what should he do when the indicator shows signals of caution. John told he would do as Daniel say, then Daniel went in to that portal.
John waited there for hours, and then suddenly the red indicator started to blink,
"There is something wrong happened in there" John thought.
"I have to get there before he comes back here, he will destroy this portal if he gets here"
John started the power on and opened the portal, the portal was opened in minutes, and then he moved towards the portal and stepped into it, everything went black ad then he started to see the world again and someone was standing there.
When John entered into the Fourth Dimension of space there was someone standing there, it was Simon, he was watching that portal and he saw John opening it and entering into their world. John was startled by seeing someone near that portal that he doesn't know.
"Who are you? Are you Mr Rob?" John asked him. Rob was the only other man John expected there except Daniel.
"No, I am Simon. I was watching you opening that door to our world." Simon said.
John knew it was that serial killer Daniel talked about, but he acted as he doesn't know about him.
"I am sorry but Daniel didn't mention about you. Did you meet him?"
"No, I saw him going to the living people's world. But someone else met him and spoke to him; he asked him if there is any way for us to get back into your world."
"And what did he say?"
"He said there is no way, and he said he will try to find a way to solve it"
That moment the portal started to shrink, it became smaller and smaller until it became a small dot.
"Daniel should have done it" John thought.
"Is there any way for me to get back in that world?" Simon asked.
John thought for a second, he had an idea. Then he spoke to Simon.
"Yes, I know about something that will help you to get back in our world"
"Do you know? I mean you can get me back into the normal world?"
"Yes I can, but you have to help me, I need energy of many souls to open that portal and I need the controller, can you find that to me. Tell every soul to come here, tell them that I found a way to get them back into the real world, and find me Daniel, he have the controller with him "
"Yes I will find him and as many of the souls as I can" Simon said then he moved fast in to the distance and disappeared from John's view.
After Simon left John saw something was coming in his direction, it was fast, there was someone, no there was more than one person. It was Daniel and Sasha.
Daniel came fast and suddenly he hit John hard on the face.
"You son of a bitch, you killed her, you took her away from me" Daniel was screaming with anger, his eyes were filled with tears.
He hit John again and again on the face with his fist; John was lying on the floor. He looked at Daniel then he looked at Sasha, he could see anger and disappointment in her face.
"Stop Daniel, stop" Sasha shouted to Daniel.
"Why would you do that to me John, why would you want to kill me?" Sasha asked.
Daniel let off his grip on John, he fell on the floor, and John looked at Sasha he gasped for air and he started speaking to Sasha.
"I never want to kill you, Sasha, I never tried to kill. All I wanted was your love. I tried to kill him not you, but it was my mistake, that cause your death."
Daniel couldn't believe his ears. John loved Sasha, it was impossible Sasha never felt anything like that towards John, but that explained why John was there at their lab all the time when Sasha was there. Asking about their experiments and stuff they do. He was not interested in science. He was interested in Sasha.
"What….." Sasha wanted to say that that she only loved Daniel and she never saw John like that and will never able to love him. But she lost words for telling how much she hated him now.
"Why did you come here?" Daniel asked.
"I wanted to see her before you destroy the portal." Daniel lay on the ground; the blood was coming from his mouth.
"I didn't want to see you, you bastard. I don't want to see you ever. I hate you.. You thought I would love you if Daniel had gone? That you kill him and I am yours. You are wrong. I didn't love you and I will never." Sasha was yelling at him.
"You know I was happy after your death when I thought that Daniel won't get you either. That he won't get you if I can't. When I lost you, I lost it for a reason, but even after your death he is the only one who can be with you, who can see you who can talk to you. No I wanted it, I want to be with you and if I can't, I won't let him too" John said.
Then suddenly Simon was there he just appeared in front of Daniel, he moved towards Daniel really fast and went through him with high force. Daniel felt like a stream of boiling water hit his body and it was like someone jetting boiling water from water cannon, he collapsed and fell to the ground. Daniel looked around there were many souls standing there, Alan was there too.
"Alan, what are you doing?" Sasha asked.
"That man told us that he can safely get me into the real world and told us to bring every soul who wants to go there" Alan explained.
"You are not going to hurt him. I want to go there and finish some work. Now open the portal" Simon said to Daniel.
"You can't go there he is telling lies, if you enter there it will destroy you. You will be lost for ever." Daniel said to every soul who were standing there. There were hundreds of them.
"No, it won't do anything to you. Tell him he should come with you and his wife too. Then you will see if souls can survive in there." John's idea was brought Sasha's soul into the three dimensional world and destroy it so Daniel can't be with her forever.
"Tell him to open that portal, now" John said to Simon.
"Open it" Simon yelled at him.
"If you don't open that portal then they will kill you, I just need that controller, I will open the portal by myself and they all can get into that world" John said to him.
"No…. Please don't hurt him" Sasha was crying out loud.
Daniel was sure John would do as he said; If these hundreds of souls went through him, he will be burned to death within no time, and after he gets killed John will easily open the portal and let every soul enter into their world, but he doesn't know what would happen if all of these souls entered into the three dimensional world.
Daniel tried to stand up, Simon was standing next to him. John helped him to get up.
"Now turn the portal open Daniel and ask your wife to step into that portal when it opens" He said to Daniel, then he turned towards Sasha
"Do you know how much it hurts when seeing someone you love getting hurt?" John looked at Simon, he again went fast through Daniel once again Daniel fell to the ground like someone thrown him. He felt that he is going to die now.
"No, please I would do as you say, please don't hurt him" Sasha was crying.
John came near Daniel "Now. Give me that controller; you know it is just a matter of time, that portal is going to open with or without your help"
Daniel was shaky; he stood up on his feet and spoke to John. "Ok I will open the portal. Give me a minute"
"Well, you can take as much time as you need, but you have to open and let every soul to enter our world including your girlfriend." John told him.
"Open that portal now." Simon said and every souls in there were shouting at Daniel to open the portal.
Daniel pressed the keys on his controller. He looked at the souls around him.
"It's going to open now."
He pressed the keys to increase the coil's power. The dot at the centre grew larger; it grew to its full size.
"Your girlfriend should step into it first" John told him.
Sasha came near to him and looked at him.
"I have to. For your life." she said.
She stepped into that portal then shouted to everyone "everyone to the portal." every soul in there ran to the portal and entered it.
Sasha's image starts to create on that portal, he can see her appearing on the front of that portal, she was there, in the real world within a second then every soul starts to get into that portal John and Daniel stepped into it, The lab was filled with souls when John and Daniel started to appear in front of that portal there was hundreds of souls in that lab and many were coming in through that portal. When they reached the real world they saw Sasha's body start to glow and every other soul starts to glow. Suddenly her glowing soul exploded with a burst of light, it was different than what Daniel had seen before, that explosion was like start of a chain reaction, her blowing energy hit every soul in there and they all start to explode. It was unbearable light. Daniel and John couldn't see anything, the light was everywhere, the blinding bright white light…
It started to expand in every direction. The light grew larger and larger in a circle. Everyone on the street could see the light that comes from their lab. That light grew in a size. The force spread from that explosion hit everywhere with astounding power. The glasses of the building and vehicles nearby shattered with huge noise. Everything started to tremble, and then suddenly that light started to shrink, it was contracting real fast… The light was shrinking small in size but it was becoming incredibly dense. The light shrunk to a small dot, a really small light dot and there were no souls in that room just Daniel and John and that bright stunning light in the middle. That small dot exploded with great power, it was more energetic than the previous one.., they felt really hot… Daniel felt like burning. Then everything started to burst into flame. It was like a nuclear explosion, it was total chaos, and everything went to dust and ashes. But that dust and ashes doesn't spread to anywhere, they were going towards the source of that blast. Everything was going towards that source; and there no longer existed any light. There was nothing in there, nothing visible just a black dot at the centre that started to suck everything from its surrounding. That block dot became little larger and it attracted everything surrounded it. Everything in there went straight into it. It started to get larger in size and power and everything in the world started to move towards it. Even the souls in the other dimension were started to suck towards it, they all flew into it and nothing returned.
The energy created by souls entered in to that world created a black-hole in there. And it started to suck everything and started to grow larger. It was the end; nothing was able to escape the power of that black-hole. Souls in another dimension and everything, the entire earth started to collapse into that black-hole.
Daniel watched it all in disbelief, he was watching the future. To see what happens if he let every soul in there to enter the three dimensional world. There will be nothing left. Sasha knew he was watching something, something that should happen in the future or something that already happened in the past. Daniel changed his mind and looked once more into the future; he had to confirm if the portal will work as he thought. He saw the future, it was different than the previous one, and then he made up his mind and returned to the present time.
"What do you see" She asked, she was right behind Daniel no one else heard anything.
"If, I let these souls enter into that world, everything will end. There will be nothing more left, neither in this world nor in that, that much energy cannot withstand in a three dimensional world. It will create a black-hole and everything will be lost in that black hole" Daniel said to her in a low voice.
"What are you two talking about?" John asked.
"I said you can take as much time to open the portal, not to chit chat"
"I will open the portal, but you and Sasha should come with me, we should be entering there first" Daniel said to John.
"No, please, don't open the portal" Sasha said to Daniel with a pleading note in her voice.
"I can't, I won't let you enter there first with that controller on your hand. Once you get in there you will terminate the portal using that controller" John said.
"No. I won't, I will give the controller to you. You can have it when we enter the portal"
John looked at him with doubtful eyes; he doesn't know what Daniel is planning for.
"Why are you scared if there is nothing going to happen? You told them that nothing bad will happen" Daniel asked loudly and made sure Simon and other souls near to them heard him.
John knew he can't back off. Simon looked suspiciously at John. He was not sure to believe John.
"Ok, I will. Now give me that controller I will open the portal" John held his hand forward for that controller.
"Don't give it to him" Sasha said.
"Even if I told him that it will lead to the end of the world, he won't stop Sasha"
Daniel pressed some keys on it. The portal started to make a huge humming noise. It was louder than ever, then he took it off from his hand and given to John.
John pressed the keys to open the portal; he did what Daniel has shown him before. The dot in the middle started to become larger….
"What are you doing? No don't do this. Please don't" .Sasha said.
"Trust me, everything is going to be okay" Daniel tried to console her.
"But, this…"
"Shh… Listen to me, I had seen my future, and I know everything is going to be okay"
And he told what he saw in her ear, none of the soul heard what he said to her.
The portal was open; everyone looks pleased to see the portal.
They three were the first to enter the portal, she looked at him with great admiration, he smiled at her, and then every soul in there flew into that portal at the same time.
John looked at the controller and then to Daniel, Daniel was looking at him, he was smiling. John doesn't understood why does Daniel keep smiling ?
John felt something strange in his body, it was not like what he felt when he came there, this time the portal was getting really hot, burning hot.
Daniel was looking at him there was something different happening to him too..
Instead of spreading into little pieces Daniel started to glow, there was a bright white light coming from him.
Daniel smiled at John and said "Welcome to hell John."
Daniel saw fire in John's eyes.. Was it fire of anger, no it was an actual fire, it was not just in his eyes it was over his entire body. The same thing was happening to Simon's soul too. But Alan's soul was glowing in white, there was screaming coming from many souls.
Everything happened exactly as Daniel saw; he has to check whether the portal can send soul into the fifth dimension of space, if it is possible to send one soul into their destination, to the next dimension, to the hell or heaven where they should belong. He had increased the power of that coil to help Sasha, Rob and Clair but he knew it would be difficult, that he can't open the portal to the next dimension using the energy of just three souls. To open that portal it should need much more energy. Just before he gave the controller to John, He made up his mind to set the portal open for the fifth dimension of space by using the energy of hundreds of these souls and he saw what will happen if he do so. It was all happening just like he watched.
Manny souls in that portal were screaming with pain. They were burning in fire. Simon's soul burst into flames and with a loud cry there was no sign of him the portal accelerated the energy that hide deep inside the souls and it were sending them to where they belongs, other souls in that portal were glowing with white light, they were smiling, peace was visible in all of their faces, just before Alan disappeared with that glowing light, a huge smile was visible on his face. Sasha was looking at Daniel.
"I will see you there" She said.
Daniel's body fell into the three dimensional world from that portal. No physical body could exist in the fourth dimension without a soul, when Daniel's soul separated from it's body and went to the next dimension with that bursting white light, his body was thrown out to the three dimensional world through that portal. His dress were ripped everywhere. Everything went in to that portal was gone and John was standing there with bursting flames in his body, with a loud cry his soul was gone.. His body thrown out through that portal, it lay near to Daniel's body. John's body was burned in some places and smoke was coming out of it.
The controller in John's hand started to blink, it shows the command which Daniel had given to it.
"AUTO TERMINATION ACTIVATED"
Then the message changed into "AUTO TERMINATION IN PROGRESS"
There were sparks coming from that coils the accelerator start to slow down. Every power in that lab was shutting down automatically. Every computer and every light were turned off one after another. The coil stopped humming and the portal was closed. The particle accelerator turned off, there was no sight of that portal, not even the single black dot in the centre. Every single light in the lab went off and everything went dark…
There was nothing visible in that lab and it was pitch black...
Epilogue
Leonard came back from Australia, and he made a visit to Daniel's lab, he rang the doorbell and waited at the door for Daniel. No one came to open the door, after waiting for a few minutes he opened the door by himself and entered the lab. It was dark in there, there was some funny smell coming, He turned on the light and horrified by what he saw. Daniel and John were lying dead on the floor. Leonard called the police and told that he found Daniel and John dead inside Daniel's lab. The police were on the way. Leonard searched the room to find any cause for their death. There was nothing.
On the table there was a file, He opened it, there was some Kirlian photographs of human fingers, and there were some notes and a digital audio tape. He took it all and put it in his bag. Then he moved closer to the bodies, John's body looked like it was set on fire. He came closer to Daniel's body, his face looked calm and quite, there was a hint of smiling at his face.
There was something in Daniel's pocket. He put his hand inside Daniel's pocket. That was a digital voice recorder. He took it outside, a tape was inside it, he rewinds the tape and hit play, there was some low noise hearing of it, Leonard listened to it hard, and then he heard Daniel's sound from that tape.
"Fourth spatial dimension, day two"..,,,,
