Chapter 95: Unhand Me

Dixie was relieved to see that nothing much seemed to have changed between Emilia and Crystal by the time she arrived. She had been worried that the girl would realize her feelings for her princess, if she wasn't already aware of them, and take this opportunity of her princess being defenseless to act on her desires.

Emilia smiled as she waved her over. "You're here already, Dixie? That was fast. Come here, look, the news is so interesting! I thought they had lost her, but the reporters are now chasing after Justine's cruiser!"

Looking at the news report, Dixie felt that the road looked quite familiar for some reason, but she shook off that thought. What bothered her more was that while keeping away all other sources of trouble for Emilia, the ones who had ended up causing her the most trouble this time were her own friends.

The trio of girls who had followed her in couldn't help but be slightly embarrassed. They hadn't even done anything 'outrageous' since then, but the very same incident ended up biting them back twice in a row!

Hopefully, Emilia would be able to calm down this raging 'leader' of their group, or they were going to be in a whole world of pain.

Before Dixie could even respond to Emilia's greeting, however, the door was slammed open as a very unwelcome guest entered the room.

Amos was already slightly out of breath after rushing through two flights of stairs, but his voice was still loud and clear, if not slightly winded. "Crystal! Don't you worry, I'm here! You bitches better—"

His words got stuck in his throat, however, as he realized that the love of his life didn't seem to be distressed at all, and was looking at him with perplexed shock and… distress?

Crystal had already been quite tired of this guy bothering her all the time, but she never expected he would even dare barge into her home like this. Unlike the restaurant downstairs, coming here without permission could already be classified as breaking and entering.

The heroine didn't mask her disgust at all. "Do you think you can just barge into any place as you please? Who allowed you to come here?!"

Even if Amos was able to delude himself into hearing only distress and worry for him in her voice, the others could clearly detect the undisguised hostility in the girl's voice.

Emilia was, of course, delighted. Did she even need to do that much, when the hero was so proficient at hitting himself in the foot? Having such a 'competent' opponent was truly a blessing.

Dixie and her friends didn't know the whole story behind Amos and Crystal's 'relationship', so they only thought that Crystal didn't like Amos by association, due to him being openly hostile to Emilia.

Of course, Amos didn't earn any points with Dixie's friends, either.

Jenna, the most boyish of the trio, had already stalked up to the boy and pushed him back towards the door. "Get lost, vermin, you're not welcome here!"

As she did so, the girl turned her gaze to stare at Dixie, as if asking for praise, and the knight turned her gaze to Emilia, who only gave her a 'Is this really the right time?' look.

Dixie didn't fully understand Emilia's meaning, and only felt that it was only right that this little bit wouldn't enough to compensate for all the trouble her friends had caused. She would have to figure out a way to make her friends please her princess later.

The hero could tolerate many things, but how could he tolerate being insulted in front of his lover? "Who are you calling a vermin, you whore?!"

Even Crystal's mom couldn't help but get angry. Not only did her daughter and her friends not welcome the boy, he was also being so rude on top of it. "Hey, boy, this is my home. I'm telling you to leave, or I'll call the police, got it?"

Of course, had she known that this was the famous 'Amos Black' from the news, her impression of him would have been even worse. But none of the news reports of his exciting love triangle showed his image, and only discussed their speculations, leaving her unaware of the boy's real identity.

The hero's face was dark as he pointed a finger at the middle aged lady's face. "I'll leave only when these bitches leave too! They're clearly bothering Crystal. And you, lady, if you're supposed to be her mother, you should learn to judge people better. Your daughter is being bullied right under your nose, and you're still taking their side just because she's too meek to voice it out?"

Not to mention Emilia, even Cynthia was amazed at the hero's level of mental gymnastics. "Hey Emilia, did he just forget that Crystal reprimanded him and told to effectively fuck off barely a minute ago?"

Emilia's lips twitched as she tried her best to control her smile. 'Who knows, maybe his head injury made his memory worse than it already was? I have to say, my 'husband' hit him quite well if that is so, fufu…'

Her partner gagged. "Ewww, Emilia. Never talk like that again, okay! Husband what? Ugh, disgusting."

Emilia couldn't help but pout. 'I was just joking~'

Cynthia rolled her eyes. "Your sense of humor is as disgusting as your preference of lovers."

Emilia wanted to refute, but recalling that she never really had a real 'lover' so far, she didn't even know where to start.

Meanwhile, the situation with the hero had already turned much worse, as Lara pulled at his hair while Jenna had his hands almost tied up with her sweater as she stomped at the panicking boy's feet.

"Shit! You savages! Unhand me!"

Lara considered this a great opportunity to earn 'merit' to cancel out some of Dixie's grudge. It was impossible to just let him go. "Not before you're bald, bastard!"

Of course, Jenna was far more 'reasonable' than her friend. "Swear to quietly leave and I'll let you go, or I'll break your toes!"
