Chapter 17 - 17: Kill! (3)

Rhash targeted all the servants in the Manor. The earlier shaking of the ground due to Reif's power was bound to attract attention

Just as he expected, there were really servants running away from the crime scene. After they saw the Baron getting killed, these servants were completely terrified

They were unwilling to stay here for a longer time in fear that it would be them that will die next

Too bad that Rhash doesn't have plans on letting them off. Even after Reif killed the Noble, these servants already know and saw his face

If not for them, Reif wouldn't be a hunted criminal. Thus, no matter what people will think of him, Rhash would still kill all of them

He would rather dirty his hands than leave a possible time bomb behind. If he and Reif were really hunted, they would struggle terribly to keep their lives intact

In a flash, Rhash appeared next to a servant. His nails already grew longer and he uses them to slash the throat of a perfectly alive human

"AAAHHH M-MONSTER!" Another servant that saw the gruesome scene stupidly shouted out of fear

The death of her fellow servant terrified her. It feels as if strength flew away from her legs as her face paled

Her whole body was also shaking in fear while looking at Rhash

Even after being called a monster, Rhash wasn't hurt in the slightest. If he needs to be a monster to keep his and Reif's life, he would gladly embrace that title

Without any hint of mercy, Rhash charges at that stupid servant that decides to scream rather than run. Well, even if she runs, she still won't be able to escape the fate of death

A red streak was drawn as the servant's blood from her throat were thrown in the air

Yet another servant died but Rhash didn't stay for long. This Manor has tens of servants and guards, he needs to kill all of them

Although not all these people had seen Reif and Rhash's face, it was still better to kill all of them so that the risk of being discovered would be minimal

Rhash continued running inside the Manor to massacre all the servants. He asked Reif to stay where he was since the kid has internal injuries but Reif was worried for him

As a result, Reif tried to follow him but what he saw was a bloody trail. The dead servants that had their throats slashed were leaking a lot of red liquid

The smell of blood in the air was very strong and Reif shuddered at this scene. An urge to vomit whatever in his stomach appeared but Reif stops that from happening

"Big Brother did this for me... Big Brother did this for me... Big Brother did this for me..." Reif repeatedly chanted. He doesn't know the exact reason why Rhash was killing all of the servants but he didn't doubt his Big Brother

Rhash has never done killing without a reason in the past. Even if he would kill someone, it was always to protect himself or Reif

Thus, Reif completely trusted him

It was not that hard to follow Rhash due to the corpse trail he had made. When Reif finally saw his Big Brother again, the other man just finished killing the last servant he had found

Noticing a presence looking at him, Rhash fiercely turned his head behind him. The cold killing intent in his eyes was still present but it instantly vanishes after seeing who came to see him

"R-Reif" Rhash called out nervously. It was one thing to kill one person but another to kill tens of them

Not to mention, there was still some blood on Rhash's face and clothes. He is always worried that Reif would think that he is dirty and disgusting

As if Reif can sense what he was thinking, the kid went to him and engulfs his body in a warm hug

Despite the strong scent of blood, Reif's nose still mostly picks up the sweet milky scent coming from his Big Brother

It was such a wonderful scent that he wants to smell every day. "Big Brother... you must be in pain"

After Reif killed people today, he was filled with remorse and regret. It pains him to do such action

Reif only killed a few what more for Rhash that killed tens of them?

It was not only the murdered that is suffering pain. Reif realizes that after killing people today. His heart also suffered. It's just too bad that to keep himself and the person he cared for safe, Reif needs to kill people

However, Rhash actually only feels a little bit disturbed. After all, he is still a man from the modern earth where killing is highly prohibited unlike this new world

His actions still brought some guilt but the desire to live a good and safe life won over that guilt

Rhash is actually not that affected. After all, he knows that in the future, he would kill more people

If he is affected every time he killed someone then that would negatively affect him

But seeing Reif trying to comfort him, Rhash feels warm and he lovingly rubs the kid's hair

"Big Brother is fine" Rhash reassured him

Reif raised his head and wipe the blood in his brother's face using his own worn-out clothes

"Can you rest somewhere first? Big Brother will soon be able to buy you new and nice clothes" Rhash said but Reif shooks his head

"I don't want to be away with Big Brother" Reif said warmly and rubs his head into the other man's chest

"B-But Big Brother will do something that you might not like" Rhash said unsurely but Reif still insisted and he can only agree

What Reif does was to take all the copper coins from the poor servants. Although they don't have much money, they still have some

Reif got around 175 copper coins. The servants numbered around 35 and they have an average of 5 copper coins

In this world, a single coin can already buy a few pieces of bread. Of course, that is just the lowest quality coarse and hard to swallow bread

These servants don't have that much money at all. The overall coins were only around 17.5 silver coins since 10 copper coins are equals to 1 silver coin

Well, Rhash didn't expect much from them. For him, they only have some meager change. The real wealth he would get was from the money of this Noble family

Reif and Rhash searched for the location where the money was stored and they got around 50 silver coins from it

Rhash placed it in a backpack. He originally wants to take some things of value and sell them but decided not to

Although Baron Garn was not a strong and powerful Nobility, he still has a Noble Title

The Archenlan Empire would still send some people to investigate what happened today to fine and punish the culprit

If it was another Noble that did it, they would only be given some fine and punishment

But if not, they would be directly executed for killing a Noble

Currently, both Reif and Rhash don't have any connection to Nobility. Reif's father would remove him from the family register and he would not be treated as a Noble descent

Rhash can only try to be as careful as he can for their next movements. If he sold the Baron's belongings and was find out, he would be treated as the criminal although he really was the criminal

"Let's go, we'll go far away from here and lead a new life. How's that sound?" Rhash asked while wearing the large backpack

"As long as I'm with Big Brother, I'll be happy!" The kid answered earning him a chuckle

"Looks like my baby already knows how to sweet talk"

"But I'm just telling the truth" Reif said with a pout. For him, he was just being completely honest

No matter where they will go as long as he has his Big Brother, Reif would still be happy. All he wants in this world was someone that will love and care for him

"Alright, alright. Big Brother believes you" Rhash said with a smile

"Big Brother, I can carry the backpack for you!"

Reif wants to be of help. Although still feel some pain inside him, he doesn't want Rhash to take all the burden

However, how can Rhash let him do that? If they don't need to flee as soon as possible Rhash would have the kid directly stay here to recuperate

"No, Big Brother can carry the backpack. In fact, I can even carry Reif. You're still injured, right?"

"I-I'm not!" Reif lied as he feared that Rhash would really carry him. He fears that his Big Brother was already tired yet would still carry him. Reif can't allow that to happen

"Little brat, when did you learn how to lie?" Rhash asked while shaking his head and Reif can only lower his head

"I-I just don't want to be a burden. I don't want to tire Big Brother by carrying me"

What a good little Brother! Rhash was satisfied with that

"Big Brother is not tired but if Reif doesn't want to be carried, then I won't"

With that, the two started a new journey in their life
