Chapter 213 - What The Hell!

Sylvia pondered the question for a moment.

A minute later, she spoke. "I'll go there tomorrow to see Laura's family. For the moment tightened the security around that area. I don't want them to escape again!" she commanded.

"Copy Madam! If nothing else, I'll take my leave now," the leader of the assassin said.

"You may go now!" Sylvia responded with the wave of her hand.

The leader of the assassin and his two companions vanished from the place.

Zalvo approached his wife. "Did you received the good news?" he inquired.

Sylvia nodded her head. "Yeah... they found the family but not Laura," she answered.

"Hmm, where could Laura be at this moment?" Zalvo asked.

Sylvia took a wild guess. "I think she's hiding in South Pond Town sheltered by someone..."

"And who could it be?" Zalvo asked.

"We will find out soon enough!" Sylvia replied.

"How about if we send out the bats again to terrorize the whole South Pond Town?" Zalvo suggested.

Sylvia shook her head. "No need for that right now. Let's try something else..." she responded.

"And what could it be?" he asked.

"I'll send our vampire assassin to track Laura and whoever that someone who sheltered her," she answered.

"Okay, my men and I will also lunch my search," Zalvo said.

"By the way, I wonder why Corbin and Rebecca hadn't returned yet?" she asked in confusion.

"Maybe the couple was still enjoying each other and extended their honeymoon," he casually said.

"Send someone to track Corbin and his wife," Sylvia ordered.

"Okay!" Zalvo said and was about to leave when a servant approached them.

"Madam, My Lord... Lord Corbin is finally back," the servant announced.

"Good!" Sylvia said.

The servant turned around and leave.

Slyvia looked at her husband. "It's about time to tell the couple the truth about their future offspring," she said excitedly.

"Ok, let's go and see them!" Zalvo said.

The couple left the backyard and went back to the house.

They found the servants carrying some chests inside the house.

"Where is the couple?" Sylvia asked the servant.

"Lord Corbin went upstairs to his room, Madam! I didn't see Lady Rebecca with him," the servant replied.

"What do you mean?" Sylvia asked.

"Lord Corbin is the only one we saw exiting the carriage," the servant answered.

"What-? Where is his wife?" Sylvia's brows furrowed together in confusion. How come her son come home alone? Where is Rebecca? Did something bad happen to her daughter-in-law? She feels something is not right in the air.

The servant shook his head. "I dunno, Madam."

The couple looked at each other in confusion. Different thoughts crisscrossing in their minds.

"Wife, let's go upstairs and asked Corbin why his wife is not with him. Let's get to the bottom of this!" Zalvo said.

"Okay," Sylvia replied. Her hyperactive mind was already making negative assumptions.

The couple rushed to the staircase and climbed the stairs quickly, they went to Corbin's room and knocked on the door.

"Son, open the door!" Sylvia shouted hurriedly.

A few seconds later, Corbin opened the door.

The vampire couple entered the room.

"Where is your wife? Where is Rebecca?" Sylvia asked.

Corbin was trying to hide the sadness in his eyes. "She's gone, Mother," he said in a voice filled with pain.

Sylvia's eyes widened in alarm. "Huh? W-what do you mean? Did someone abducted her or kidnapped her?"

Corbin released a deep sigh and went silent for a moment. The severity of his sadness and pain showed on his face.

"Tell us what happened to your wife!?" Sylvia was on the verge of hysteria.

"Rebecca finally realized that she doesn't love me at all. So, she left me and went home. We broke up!" Corbin explained misty-eyed.

The vampire couple looked at each other in shock.

"What the hell is going on!?" Zalvo bellowed.

"That girl is stupid! Marrying you and then declaring that she didn't love you after the wedding? Who the hell she thinks she is!" Sylvia said, fuming in anger. "We will find her and bring her back!" she declared with a clenched fist.

"Calm down, wife!" Zalvo said.

"Let her be, Mother. I don't want to force her in staying by my side if she has no real feelings for me," Corbin explained.

"No, you can't let her go! You must find her and bring her back here!" Sylvia declared furiously.

Corbin shook his head. "No. I won't find her. If she loves me, she will come back to me on her own accord!" he said.

Sylvia took a deep breath. "Son, there is something you need to know about your wife!" she said.

Corbin looked at his mother. "What is it?"

"Rebecca is pregnant with your children, she is carrying your twins in her womb!" Sylvia revealed.

The good news is like a bomb that exploded in Corbin's ears. "Whaaaat! Is it true, Mother?" he asked in shock and disbelief.

"Yes, it's true!"

"How did you know that she's pregnant?"

"On the day you left for your honeymoon, I managed to feel her pulse, she was carrying your twins!" Sylvia repeated.

Corbin was stunned, he doesn't know what to feel right now as both feelings of happiness and astonishment smashed his world. "Shiit!" he finally said.

"Did you know Rebecca's place? Did she told you where she's going?" Sylvia asked.

Corbin shook his head. "I dunno, Mother," he said sadly.

Sylvia's eyes went slit. "What the hell are you talking about? She is your wife and you didn't know where she's living and who are her relatives?"

Corbin sighed deeply. "Yes, Mother. She revealed to me that everything she told me is all lies. I don't know where to find her. I have no idea where she's staying right now," he said in a despondent voice.

"Dammit! You need to find your wife! It's my grandchildren we're talking about here! You need to find Rebecca, I don't care even if you will turn this whole world upside down. You have to bring her back!" Sylvia insisted.

Corbin nods his head. "Alright, Mother. Even if you don't tell me what to do, I will still find my wife!" he said in a determined voice. Now that Rebecca was carrying their unborn children, he must find her at all cost. He has every right to find her because he is the father of their unborn offsprings!

His wish to have children with her was finally granted! Extreme happiness exploded in his heart.

"I put a tracker in the wedding ring. Wherever she goes, as long she was carrying the onyx ring with her, you will find her! The wedding ring you wore on your finger will emit light signaling that she's near you. Used that ring to find her!" Sylvia said.

"Thank you, Mother!" Corbin said enthusiastically.

"What are you waiting for? Go now and find your wife!" Sylvia commanded.

"Okay!" Corbin nodded his head and vanished from the room instantly.

Sylvia and Zalvo exited the room.

The following day.

It's already 6:30 in the morning.

Graven and ten of his men teleported to the town of Hollowpass in their invisible form.

They floated in the air and proceed to the farm owned by Laura's parents.

At one hundred meters away, their well-trained nose instantly senses the presences of other vampires lurking nearby.

They gathered in the air.

Graven ordered his men. "I'll go inside the farmhouse and teleport Laura's family into another place, you will cover for me. Kill anyone who comes into the house!"

"Copy, my lord!" the men replied in unison.

Graven zoomed towards the house and entered through the open window of Laura's room on the second floor.

He checked all the rooms upstairs, they're empty!

Oh, no! Did he arrive late?

He went downstairs. He heard noises coming from the dining room!

He rushed towards it. Huge relief washed over him 'coz inside was Laura's family eating breakfast.

He stepped back outside and switched to his visible form. Then he entered the dining room. "Good morning everyone!" he greeted them merrily.

Everyone around the table was shocked to see Graven suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Son, when did you arrive?" Simon asked casually. "Come here join us for breakfast!"

"Where is my daughter? Did you bring her with you?" Rosa asked excitedly.

"Where is my sister, uncle Graven?" Sofia asked.

Graven went to their side. "No, Laura is in our home right now waiting for you guys," he said.

"W-what do you mean?" Simon asked in bewilderment.

"Guys, listen carefully...don't panic..." Graven said. He got everyone's attention. "Vampires are lurking outside the farmhouse, they're probably the vampire couple's men. I'm here to bring you all to Laura because she instructed me to get you all out of here!" he explained.

Sofia hugged her mother tightly. "M...mom, I'm a...afraid!" she said in a trembling voice.

"W-what we're going to do now!?" Simon asked, panicking.

"Just closed your eyes and no matter what happened don't open them until I say so, got it?" Graven instructed.

"Okay," the trio responded in chorus.

"Now do it!" Graven shouted.

The trio shut their eyes.

Graven grabbed Simon's arms and Rosa's arms and initiated the teleportation process in his mind.

Suddenly... a violent sound of the door breaking erupted in the air!... that was the moment the door of the house was being ripped open by a powerful force.

Graven and Laura's family vanished from the dining room instantly.

Servant's loud screaming and cries of horrors can be heard all over the farm.

A few minutes later.

Sylvia and her army of vampire assassins arrived on the farm.
