Chapter 427 - Beautiful Blessing

~Windless Mountain~

A few months later.

One sunny afternoon, Elva was already in labor, her water broke one hour ago.

Veronica had everything ready in Elva's room. She looked at the deity's face grimacing in pain. "Do you want to drink water or eat anything?" she asked.

Elva shook her head. "Nah, I'm not hungry nor thirsty, I just feel discomfort down there in my pelvic region," she replied.

"Why don't you rest in the bed to save your energy?" Veronica offered.

"Later, I just want to keep walking for a while. I can feel that I'm ready to give birth anytime from now," Elva responded. "Ouch!" she yelled painfully, her face contorted in pain as the baby rammed her pelvic region once again.

"Are you okay?" Veronica rushed to her side to assist.

"I'm fine, it's just normal pain associated with birthing," Elva explained.

"Aright, I'll go to the kitchen to prepare a pumpkin soup for you," Veronica suggested.

"Okay, go on," Elva replied with a nod of her head.

Veronica walked to the door and opened it, she was about to leave the room when the deity spoke...

"Don't leave! I think I'm ready to give birth now!" Elva shouted.

When Veronica turned around she saw Elva already lying on the bed, her legs spread wide, and started pushing with all her might. "Oh, my!" She rushed to the bed and take a look in the deity's pelvic region, she was excited when she noticed that the baby's head is already visible, ready to come out!

"The baby is coming out! Push harder Elva!" Veronica shouted.

"Ahhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhh!" Elva pushed with all her might.

"Harderrrrrrrr, almost there!" Veronica commanded again.

"Ahhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Elva's face contorted in pain as she push harder.

"Finally the baby is out!" Veronica announced happily.

"Waahhhhhh waahhhh waaaaaaaaahhhh..." the newborn cried loudly.

"Wow! It's a beautiful healthy baby girl!" Veronica gushes happily.

The newborn's wailing filled the room, she is proud to announce to the world that she finally arrived.

Elva looked at her baby with tears of happiness glistening in her eyes. Giving birth is so magical and gratifying, it made her feel complete.

Veronica begin to work, she fastened the wooden clamp around the baby's umbilical cord a few inches from the base, holding the scissor with her right hand, she swiftly cut the newborn's umbilical cord, next... she began cleaning the baby's body using a soft cloth soaked in clean water.

She was smiling in happiness, caring for a newborn filled her heart with gladness that she can't describe in words. "Hello baby girl, stop crying... I'm done cleaning you soon and you will be reunited with your mother, okay?" she said.

Surprisingly, the baby stopped crying...

Veronica looked at Elva and smiled. "She understand..." she said, giggling.

After she finished cleaning the newborn, she placed the baby beside Elva. "Here's your precious daughter, breastfeed her!" she said.

"Thank you so much for assisting my delivery, dear," Elva said in a grateful tone.

"Don't mention it. It's my pleasure in assisting you in giving birth to your precious daughter, rest well. I'm going to the kitchen to cook soup for you," Veronica said. She gathered all the dirty stuff and removed them from the room so that the mother and her newborn can bond together in a clean environment.

After putting the trash in the garbage bin at the back of the house, she went back to her room to clean herself, and afterward, she proceed to the kitchen to prepare food for Elva.

Back in the deity's room.

Elva can't help kissing her baby girl's head due to overwhelming happiness and gladness. "Welcome to the world, daughter! You make my world so beautiful! I love you so much!" she said, teary-eyed. She then breastfed her baby.

After breastfeeding, the baby fall asleep, Elva closed her eyes as well to rest her mind and body.

A few minutes later.

Veronica entered the room and saw the mother and daughter sleeping peacefully beside each other on the bed, she exited the room quietly. She will just return later.

She proceeds to the terrace and watered the plants.

...

One week later.

Across the miles, in the forest.

Early morning...

Terros was outside the bamboo house, busy feeding his poultry because he planned to visit Veronica and the deity in the Windless Mountain after lunch and stay there overnight.

Half an hour later, done feeding the chickens, he walked towards the staircase about to go back to the house, that was also the moment Graven materialized in the area.

"Good morning, Grandpa!" Graven said with a smile.

"Good morning, son!" Terros responded. "How's Laura and and your son?" he asked.

"They're fine. I'm here to invite you to a family dinner that will be held tomorrow at 6:00 in the evening. Be there!" Graven said.

"Sure! I'll be there!" Terros replied excitedly.

The men settled comfortably on the wooden bench under the shade of a tree.

"What is your plan for today?" Graven asked.

"I'm planning to visit the girls in the Windless Mountain today. The last time I visited them was two months ago," Terros answered.

"Oh, perfect timing, I'll go with you!" Graven said.

Terros smiled broadly. "Great! Let me go to my room and change my clothes first then we will go there together," he said.

"Take your time, Grandpa," Graven spoke.

Terros went back to the house and changed his clothes inside his room.

A few minutes later.

Terros emerged from the house and went to Graven's side. "Let's go!" he said.

The men vanished from the area, teleporting to their destination.

A few minutes later.

The men arrived in the Windless Mountain and landed on the terrace of Elva's home.

Veronica was on the terrace during that time holding the baby in her arms to get some early sunshine.

The moment graven saw the baby, his heart beats faster in his rib cage. Elva had given birth to their baby! He rushed to Veronica's side. "Did Elva already give birth?" he asked.

Veronica looked at Terros for a moment...

Terros nods his head.

"Yes, Elva gave birth to this cute baby. Do you want to hold your baby daughter in your arms?" Veronica asked.

"Yes, please!" Graven replied excitedly.

Veronica placed the newborn into Graven's arms and went to Terros's side.

"Look at the father and daughter, they look cute together," Terros commented.

"Yeah..." Veronica nods her head in agreement.

"By the way, where is Elva?" Terros asked looking around the house.

"She visits the forbidden cave," Veronica responded.

"Ah, I see..." Terros said and settled himself comfortably on the rattan chair.

Veronica lowered herself on the opposite chair. "How's everyone in South Pond Town? How are Laura and their son?" she asked.

"They're doing well, both mother and son are healthy and happy. Graven is blessed with a happy family, good health and fortune, most importantly their life is peaceful. Everything is good in South Pond Town..."

"Nice to hear that!" Veronica said, genuinely happy for everyone. After being repeatedly subjected to the dark storm in the past, everyone deserves some kind of happiness and calmness in their life.

"How about the two of you here in the Windless Mountain? How's life here?" Terros inquired.

"Everything is good here. Elva was always smiling while gazing at her baby daughter," Veronica responded cheerfully.

"Great!" Terros spoke.

Veronica looked at Graven and his daughter. "This is Graven's little secret - he has no plans in revealing the existence of his baby daughter to Laura?" she asked.

Terros took a deep breath. "Let's leave everything to fate. For now, everything is going well in both parties, there's no need to disturb the calm water," he said casually.

"Agree..." Veronica stated.

Graven was smiling joyously, suddenly his baby daughter opened her eyes for the first time, she has the coolest green eyes that he had ever seen in his whole life. "Welcome to the world, daughter!" he said lovingly and planted a kiss on the baby's head.

Meanwhile...

Silently, Elva was watching the father and daughter bonding with each other a few meters away in her invisible form, a smile emerged on her lips.

She decided to leave, going back to the foot of the mountain to gather herbs.

She wants to give Graven enough time to bond with his daughter. Her daughter is hers to raise, Graven is always welcome in her home to visit his daughter anytime he likes.

She has no plans to pursue a romantic relationship with Graven, her daughter's heavenly presence in her life is more than enough for her.
