Chapter 51 - Old Friends

As Dan went inside he had no clue which room the reunion was happening in so he called Liam.

"Hey, I am in the hotel, can you tell me which room you guys are in?"

"Oh, you are here, just wait. I will come to get you."

A minute later, an average man in his 20s came up to Dan and said, "Wow, you have changed bro."

"You say I have changed Liam, you should look at yourself on the mirror."

"Wow, really. I guess I just haven't realized. Let's go in, everyone has changed a lot since we were in high school."

"Alright."

Liam led Dan to one of the rooms and as he opened the door, Dan saw a lot of familiar faces and some he couldn't even recognize.

Dan also saw Lily and they made eye contact but they quickly looked away.

Everyone introduced themself to Dan and they started to order some food and start to talk about themself.

Most of them worked in an average job but Dan was surprised at Liam.

Liam started to introduce himself and apparently Liam now worked at a mid-ranked company in the state and he had managed to get himself a pretty high position in the company and had managed to get a salary of about a million dollars per year.

After Liam was done speaking, he asked Dan, "Where do you work Dan?"

"I work at Ace Corporation."

"Ace Corporation! You mean the biggest company in the state. I heard that you have to pass a hard test to get in there but the benefits are really good."

"Yeah, It's good."

"Hey, What's your salary? It must be pretty big since you work there."

"I am only working there for three months. I will get paid around a couple million for that."

Liam spit out the water he was drinking and looked at Dan completely shocked.

Lily was also dazed when she heard that Dan would make a couple of million dollars working for 3 months.

Someone from the reunion got out of his shock and asked, "What? Seriously? I know that the Ace Corporation is big and can afford to spend millions without worry but spending a couple million for a person doing a job for 3 months.. That's unbelievable."
