Chapter 3.4

But to do this, Sunghee would have to tell Sejin about her date with Manager Min… She really didn’t want to do this.

Sunghee frowned and ate another bite of her rice. No… Sejin said himself that it was just for one night, so he had to keep his promise. At that moment, Yura giggled.

“Sunghee, do you have any idea how many expressions appeared on your face just now? I could tell that at least three different emotions crossed your mind. It was so funny! You got a man, didn’t you? Be honest. I am here to listen.”

“No, of course not! Don’t be ridiculous and just eat your lunch.”

“But I’m done eating.”

Looking at Yura’s half eaten place, Sunghee frowned.

“Are you serious? You still have so much left. Don’t you think that’s a waste of money?”

“Do you have any idea how many calories there are on a plate of fried rice? I need to be careful. You do too. Once you get a fat tummy and saggy skin, it’s all over. It will be too late to regret it by then.”

Sunghee frowned at her empty bowls. Did Yura have to say something like that after Sunghee practically licked her bowls clean? It felt especially hurtful because Yura had what men called a “nice body”.

Sunghee was so annoyed that she made a point of eating the leftover side dishes on her tray. Finally placing her spoon down on the table, Sunghee announced,

“Let’s go now.”

Sunghee wanted to scream at Yura that she may be a chubby short girl, but she was the one who went on a date with Manager Min. Min Seungwoo didn’t ask sexy Jung Yura out and instead, he had dinner with shorty Sunghee! Wasn’t this enough to prove that Sunghee was doing something right?

When the girls returned to the office each holding a cup of coffee, most of the men were already back. Sunghee glanced at Seungju’s chair, which was still empty, before turning towards Sejin. All the other male workers were drinking coffee and chatting, but it seemed that Sejin was focused on his computer. Tsk. It was obvious Sejin was an anti-social man. Or was he being ignored by everyone in the office? It was true that no one really liked talking to Sejin.

So why did he look so hot to her that night? Sunghee couldn’t understand her own feelings.

After finishing her coffee, she looked around before grabbing her toothbrush and toothpaste. If she had something like a sandwich, she wouldn’t have worried, but she had kimchi 1 stew for lunch. She knew she would feel more comfortable brushing her teeth or else, she was going to worry all afternoon that her breath might stink. Yura grabbed her mouthwash and joined her.

Yura gurgled her mouth and left the washroom first. Sunghee took her time brushing her teeth and checking her face. She was finally done, so she opened the washroom door to leave when she almost bumped into someone.

“Sorry…”

When Sunghee looked up, she couldn’t help frowning. It was Sejin with his thick glasses smirking at her. Trying to pass him, Sunghee took a step to his right, but Sejin moved towards her and blocked her. When she tried to go left, Sejin again moved to stop her. When she looked up at him with a frown, Sejin grinned.

Sunghee glared at him.

“What do you want?”

“Nothing much.”

Suddenly, Sejin leaned a little as if he wanted to whisper something to her ear. But when he blew a puff of air instead, Sunghee screamed and covered her ear.

“W…what are you doing?”

“You haven’t changed, Sunghee.”

“It has been only two days, so why would I change in that time…”

When she realized their office was nearby, Sunghee lowered her voice. Sejin’s eyes narrowed further into a grin, making her wonder what the heck was wrong with this guy.

“Why are you doing this? What’s going on?”

“Nothing really. I was just walking by.”

He raised his hands innocently, making Sunghee’s frown even deeper. She knew she could never trust this guy. He must’ve been up to something.

“Then just walk away.”

She took a step away from him and began to walk towards the office. Sejin walked alongside her, but after two steps, he suddenly leaned towards her again. Sunghee quickly covered her ear, but Sejin was much quicker. He whispered,

“You went on a date with the manager, didn’t you?”

Her eyes widened as she stammered,

“H…how did you know that?”

“I have my ways. So how far did you go with him? All the way? Wow, after the long night with me, you were able to do it again the very next night? I’m impressed. I had no idea what great stamina you have, Sunghee. It’s hard to believe since when you were with me, it didn’t take much to get you to orgasm.”

Sunghee reddened. Looking around to make sure no one else was in the hallway, Sunghee kicked his shin. Sejin groaned and took a step back.

“What the hell?! You didn’t have to kick me!”

“Have you forgotten where we are?! How could you say something like that?”

Sunghee whispered with a glare, but Sejin shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. Clearly worried she might kick him again, he kept a safe distance from her.

“Why can’t I say it? I was only asking you because I was curious. So how far did you go?”

“We didn’t do anything! Do you think I’m a sex addict or something?”

When she replied in a frustrated voice, Sejin looked at her before smiling again.

“Then I guess Manager Min still doesn’t know how naughty you are in bed.”

“I… I’m not naughty!”

She could barely contain her anger. Sejin shook his head and replied,

“Nonsense. After all, didn’t you do all kinds of bedroom things with a complete stranger?”

“I am NOT like you! You’re basically an outcast in our office! Do you think being good in bed makes any difference? You’re a loser!”

Suddenly, his teasing smile disappeared from his face. Sejin slowly looked around before walking up to her to corner her against the wall.
