Chapter 183 - Seri The Teenager

I clapped my hands excitedly, "I've always wanted to sneak in a boy before."

Dante rode with me in the carriage as we went back to my house. His arm was leaning against the window propping up his head. His side profile was truly stunning. He glanced at me, "Is this a normal thing in your previous world?"

I shrugged, "Depends on the person I think. I always watched dramas where the teenagers would sneak in their lovers without their parents knowing. I've always wished I had the opportunity to do that. Unfortunately, I didn't even have a home as a teenager."

Dante smiled slightly despite being confused as to what I meant, "Then I'm glad I can help you make this dream come true. Is there anything else you wanted to do but never had the chance to?"

I tapped my chin as I thought, "Hmmm... Well in my other world, I have always wanted to get my nails done with my mother. I have also always wanted to meet my father and have him say he was proud of me. Oh! And I have always wanted to go on a family vacation and complain the entire time."

Dante chuckled, "Why would you want to complain?"

I shrugged, "I don't know. I saw other teenage girls do it. I was always envious and wanted to do the same." I sighed and looked out the window, "Of course I never had the chance to do anything like that in my previous world."

Dante nudged me with his foot, "You can do that here."

I hesitated then chuckled lightly, "Oh, I'm sure that won't happen. I think my parents see me as an adult now rather than a teenager."

Dante chuckled, "No. I'm sure they see you as a child."

My face twitched, "Are you trying to say I'm childish?"

"...No."

I frowned, "That wasn't very convincing."

I looked down to see Dante nudging me with his foot. A wry smile crossed my face as I nudged him back with my foot. Soon, we were playing footsies.

Dante smirked and spoke, "That was all related to your parents. What about other things?"

"Like what?" I picked up my head and looked at him in curiosity.

"For example... Having children?"

I nearly choked, "W-WHAT?! Children?"

He nodded, "Three boys and two girls."

"F*ck no."

Dante laughed genuinely as I scowled at him. Once he stopped, he looked at me with a smile that made his eyes crinkle. "There's still time to change your mind."

I crossed my arms, "Can you even imagine our children? That would be a disaster waiting to happen. The mere thought of it makes me shiver."

Dante had a smug smirk, "Who said OUR children? Do you have something immoral on your mind?"

A vein throbbed in my head. I began to kick him in irritation, "GAAH! You jerk!" Dante only laughed as he sustained my kicks.

When we finally arrived, I had the driver pull over and snuck Dante out. I whispered to him, "Okay. Go to my window and I will lower a rope for you to climb up."

Dante raised an eyebrow, "Is this really necessary?"

I nodded in excitement, "Yes!"

Dante finally relented and hid as I asked. I walked inside my house giggling in anticipation. My mother glanced at me, "You're home late."

"Fufu~ Yes, I guess I lost track of time while I was at Millie's. I will just head to bed now."

My mother stopped me as I was trying to scurry away. She eyed me carefully, "What are you up to?"

I gasped and held up my hand as if I had been wronged. "Mother! Why do you think I am up to something? I have never been so insulted."

My mother crossed her arms, "You are running around giggling with that mischievous smile on your face. Usually that means you are up to something."

I shook my head, "You are mistaken mother. I have absolutely nothing planned."

"Uhuh." My mother looked straight at me with a face that said she didn't believe me.

I spoke quickly, "Well, I'm going to bed for the night. Good night."

Without letting her say anything else, I rushed away. I smiled as my bedroom door came into view. My father suddenly stepped out of nowhere, "My darling daughter!"

I jumped, "Ah! Daddy! Don't jump out like that!"

He chuckled as he rubbed my head, "Are you going to bed now?"

I nodded, "Yes. I am."

He smiled, "Should Daddy read you a bedtime story?"

"Absolutely not."

He pouted, "Then..." He perked up, "A drink before you go to sleep?"

I hesitated. I forced myself to shake my head, "No, no. That's alright."

He pulled out a bottle, "It's vintage."

I licked my lips. My self control dwindling, "V-Vintage?"

Before I could disagree. He took my hand and pulled me into another room. On my fourth cup, I looked at my father feeling a bit hazy. He was shaking his finger as his words slurred, "I-I'm telling you. Shrimp with alfredo sauce is far better."

I shook my head, "No! Shrimp with marinara!"

"Paaah." My father stood up and swung his arms to keep his balance. He smiled slightly drunk, "I'm going to go ask your mother. She will settle this dispute."

I nodded, "Alright Daddy. But I'm going to bed."

He grumbled as he skipped off to go annoy my poor mother. I giggled and turned to go into my room. I stood there for a moment and paused. I scratched my head.

Wasn't I supposed to do something?

Oh sh*t! Dante! I almost forgot he was waiting!

I ran to my hidden compartment and pulled out my rope. I was surprised to see it still there. I tied it on my bed post and tossed it out the open window. I went to the window and spoke, "Romeo! Oh, Romeo! Where'd you go, Romeo? Get your a** over here!"

That's how that line went, right?

Dante popped up out of his hiding spot and climbed up the rope. I helped him into my room with a smile, "Hey. Wassup?"

He flicked my forehead, "I was waiting."

I held my forehead and puffed out my cheeks, "My dad wouldn't let me go."

I giggled and jumped into Dante's arms without warning. He caught me and then raised an eyebrow at my sudden action. I leaned forward to peck him on the lips.

He looked at me indifferently, "Were you drinking?"

"Uh.... No?"

"..."

I squeezed his cheeks, "Ooo. Such a chilling aura you have. Do you need to be warmed up?" I hugged him tightly and nestled my face into his neck. I took a deep breath, "D*mn you smell good."

"You're not drunk." He said as more of a statement rather than a question.

I glanced at him, "I'm only a tad tipsy. How did you know?"

He responded coldly, "You are violent when you're drunk, but right now you are acting quite docile."

My mouth dropped, "What? I'm not violent..."

"Last time you ripped my shirt and gave me bruises..."

"Oh yeah..." I looked away blushing from being slightly embarrassed by allowing myself to become that drunk. Luckily I've been slowly building up my tolerance.

I smirked at him, "Whatever. You liked it."

Dante shrugged, "It wasn't terrible."

"Fufu." I smirked at him, "Oh really?"

I leaned forward and bit him playfully on the neck. I heard him gasp in my ear. I giggled, "See? You like it."

Suddenly, Dante tossed me onto the bed. Before I could blink my eyes, he was already on top of me. His nonchalant face stared down at me with those calculating bright golden eyes. I blinked in surprise as he met my expression with indifference.

This position... Isn't this position... A bit suggestive?! My heartbeat quickened and I could feel my face heat up.

"Do you enjoy teasing me?" His cold voice sent shivers down my spine.

Would it be wrong to say yes?

"U-Uh... Maybe?"

He bent down to give me a tender kiss. As our lips brushed together, I felt his tongue enter my mouth with confidence. I slowly closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around him. We lay there kissing for what felt like eternity.

I was intoxicated by his touch.

He pulled away after a while and our breaths could be heard overlapping. He put his forehead against mine, "Happy..."

"Hmm?" I opened my eyes to look at him.

He repeated himself, "I am so happy to be able to hold you in my arms."

I blushed at his smooth admission. I clicked my tongue in embarrassment, "How can you be so calm and indifferent while saying something so cheesy?"

He lifted his head and stared into my eyes with a smirk, "You think I'm calm?"

"Well... You look pretty stoic..."

You could never tell Dante was embarrassed by looking at his face. The only way you could tell is if the tips of his ears turned a bit red. He grabbed my hand and put it on his chest. I sucked in air from the feeling of his muscular body under my hand.

He whispered into my ear, "Can you feel my heartbeat?"

I glanced up at him before looking at my hand. Sure enough, I could feel his heart thumping in his chest. I was a bit surprised, "It's beating really fast..."

He nodded, "I'm only calm on the outside."

I looked up at him and grinned ear to ear. I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into my embrace. He looked at me while I hugged him closely.

I giggled, "There. Now our hearts are touching and beating together."

He smiled and kissed my cheek tenderly. We spent the rest of the night in each other's embrace.

_________

I held Dante in my arms as I slept with a smile on my face. Dante was laying on his back sleeping while embracing me. I nuzzled into him still half asleep and could feel his thumb gently rub my arm.

The door suddenly opened and we both sat up in a panic. My face paled, "M-Mother?!" I grabbed a pillow and threw it over Dante's face in an attempt to hide him. However, it was not effective.

My mother stood in the doorway slack-jawed. She blinked and pointed at me... Then slowly pointed at Dante. I gulped as I waited for her to shout.

She slapped herself making both Dante and I flinch. She stepped back outside and closed the door. I heard her footsteps as she walked away. I heard her stop and then walk back. She reentered the room with a blank expression. She closed the door, grabbed a chair, and dragged it over to the bed.

Dante and I just watched her speechlessly. She looked at the two of us in silence. We sat there awkwardly waiting for her to start screaming.

I quickly got out from under the covers and sat on my knees. I clasped my hands together apologetically, "Mother... Listen... This isn't what it looks like."

She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, "Oh? So you didn't sneak Dante in last night and share the same bed?"

My face twitched, "Okay... It's exactly what it looks like." I spoke quickly and added proudly, "But we didn't do anything naughty! I am still a chaste maiden!"

My mother sighed and held her head as she shook it. Dante couldn't help but chuckle quietly. My mother looked at him with a serious expression, "And what are your intentions with my daughter?"

He responded earnestly, "I'm going to marry her." My mouth dropped at his conviction.

My mother kept staring sternly at him, "What's your last name?"

Dante hesitated then shook his head, "I don't have one."

My mother smirked, "Good. Then you'll be taking our last name."

I smacked my forehead, "Mother..."

She stood up and then looked at me, "Seri. Your father is waiting for you downstairs. I won't mention this matter to him. However, you should think carefully about how you are going to break the news to him. Now go downstairs and meet with him."

I sighed, "Yes mother..."

Why do I feel like she's planning my wedding already?

My mother turned to Dante, "As for you, back out the window you go. I will have a carriage meet you outside and take you back to the Imperial City."

Dante gave her a nod in understanding. My mother pushed me out the door and I watched Dante with a feeling of disappointment. I waved to him and he gave me a smirk and waved back. After my mother pushed me out, she watched Dante crawl back out the window.

He paused and looked at her, "You should get your nails done with Seri."

Then he hopped down the rope leaving behind a clueless Sharon.
