"Did you hear the first year is running for student council President?!"

"Wait really, who is it?!"

"Idk but they said he was okay looking."

"Oh, then until I meet him I cannot say I would vote for him."

"What about the recent newspaper, apparently he jumped out of a window to dodge the Disciplinary Committee Head."

"So this year, the first year is mischievous, I wonder if he has a big c-"

I coughed extremely loudly to stop the gossip of a few girls behind me in science class. The two girls looked at me sitting quietly looking forward. One raised an eyebrow and turned toward the front of the classroom.

It was only fourth period and rumors started to spread like wild fire. I guessed high school was like this anyway, it's hard not to be. I leaned my head back and sighed. What was I going to do?

Yeah sure the Principal gave me a token of approval which you have to get to run for President and he said tomorrow I would meet my supervisor, some one tasked with helping me succeed but still.

I wonder who it could be? A guy, a girl, or maybe both?! I laughed internally, sometimes my jokes get the better of me.

The bell finally rang, meaning lunch period began, something I completely forgot about. I was going to eat alone....

"hey youh dh yh wanh eah with me..."

I heard the lightest whisper from behind me. If I wasn't mistaken, I turned to see the soft shy features of Amelia Amaris. She was the first person I met from Grand Dobi, kind of nice to see her again.

"What?" I said scratching the back of my head.

"Do you wanna eat lunch with me..." she muttered through small lips. I grinned uncontrollably, "Sure!"

Amelia blushed and slowly pulled a desk to meet mine, and after a few seconds, we were alone. The science room now almost dead.

I reached in my book bag and the fact just hit me, I never packed me a lunch nor brought money.

Fuck me.

"Are you okay Warren?"

I froze, what do I do? If she found out I forgotten lunch or money, would she think lesser on me? Is this what they call inner turmoil?

"Did you forget your lunch, if you did here."

She slid me a package of a breaded sandwich, the toasted bread and lettuce looking rather tasty.

"Oh no I -"

Amelia avoided eye contact but looked slightly annoyed, "Just eat it, it's the least I could do because of Shi."

"Thank you." I gladly took it without argument and unpackaged it, the sweet aroma of cheese and strawberries hitting me. I took a small nibble and a tear rolled down my cheek.

This is what rich low class food taste like. Damn you social class standards, damn you.

"What's the deal with Shi anyways, he seems a bit um, extreme."

Amelia still cast her gaze elsewhere, "We have been childhood friends and I promised we would be together forever. I don't remember it completely but to Shi it means the world. I don't know how to tell him I only see him as a friend."

Deep inside my mind, I saluted my fallen comrade. Maybe one day he could climb the summit of the devil's will, the friend zone.

Even if Shi may be my enemy for some odd reason, I gave him my prayer.

"Sorry to hear that, but what's with the katana?"

"When Shi was younger his father trained him in karate and the way of the sword, now every time he gets flustered he resorts to one of them, its like it is his escape."

I tilted my head, "You sure know a lot about him, are you sure he is just a friend."

Amelia's entire face went pink, "YES HE IS!"

I almost fell out of my chair, Amelia holding her hands out toward me like I was injured. There was a moment of silence before I burst into to laughter. Amelia smiled and calmed herself down.

I situated myself and reached for my sandwich.

THWUMP

My eyes grew wide. As if out of nowhere, a long silver hunting knife was stabbed into my sandwich, a white paper rolled around the handle. I swallowed hard and searched the area, even taking a gander at the window. Nothing.

Amelia looked at the blade, also stunned from what just occurred.

I removed the knife from my sandwich, mustard dripping of the tip of the blade. I unrolled the paper and checked it's contents.

I went to the far trash can of the room and placed the knife gently inside, crumbling the paper as it found itself in the same place.

Amelia finally looked at me, "I knew it was a matter of time, I'm sorry for everything."

"Sorry for what?"

Amelia inhaled, "The upperclassmen just marked you, meaning they are gonna dig deep to find your most darkest secrets and expose you."

Holy shit, what's with the school?!

I sat back down, "How do I get off their hit list?!"

Amelia's hands turned into fist, "You have to become president at the very least, if not, they will come full force. That is a warning."

I slammed my hand on the desk, my head already spinning from just one day at this high school. I had Agent 47 as the Principal, some crazy bastard who wants me dead, oh and about sixty percent of the school wants me dead too.

And the most blaring factor of all, was that none of my step sisters seem to be getting any closer. They were the focal point of this story after all. I need some way to improve both my school standards and my bonds with my sister.

Oh and one more thing, I'm still a virgin.

BLEEP

I looked at my smartphone-

Dad: Hey me and Veronica decided to stay the night, be safe, and think about the offer I made.????❤️

I put my phone away and glanced toward the window, the rolling green hills and huge mountain in the background. It looks like the summit I have to climb is way more steep than I ever imagined.
