Chapter 367 - The Scum Is Plain

Heilong Realm, Plum Blossom City, Peony Plaza. 

"DU XIANG, COME OUT!" Shang He yelled. "Don't expect that just because you are a woman, your cowardice is justified!" he said. "And, just because you are a woman doesn't mean I'll spare your life!" he added. 

He looked at the women lying on his feet. They are not prostrating to him, but that they are already dead. Their blood flowed out from their body and is spilled on the platform, making the gray platform look red. 

Everyone's gazes were glued at the entrance of the Tianyi Brothel. They waited with bated breaths for Du Xiang to come out. Du Xiang, this woman whose beauty is said to make even the goddesses weep, could make everyone sigh for her fate because her life will end today. Even if not today, then tomorrow, or the other day, someone will definitely kill her since everyone now wants her life, not her beauty. 

Du Xiang, this celestial fairy, originally isn't a demonic cultivator. He is a citizen of the Heilong Realm. He was once an ordinary woman, and a very beautiful woman. When the Heilong Realm was still the Wu Ran Kingdom, she was one of the daughters of a wealthy merchant. Her father has sold her sisters to the brothel after their family's business was bankrupted by Du Xiang's suitor who wanted for her hand, but she refused. 

Because of this, her family, especially her elder sisters, hated her to the bones. Du Xiang was still just sixteen years old at that time. When her sisters have their first customers, they pulled her to a room and had her serve their customers in their place, saying that this should be her job as the one who made their family fell into a ruin. 

Du Xiang tearfully had her innocence taken in that filthy place. As she was ravaged by those beasts, she saw her sisters are just sneering and coldly looking at her. Du Xiang wanted to end her life right then and there. Her sisters envied her for having many suitors. Her formerly kind mother has finally revealed her face, telling her to die after she refused her suitor. It was only her father that cared for her. But, he was pushed to the edge of the cliff because of her decision. 

Day after day, this scene repeated in her mind. She slowly started to become broken. Finally, herself has snapped after the news of her father's death reached her. Her father has actually died that day after he sold them to the brothel. He committed suicide. Meanwhile, their mother hang herself. As for her sisters, they ran away from the brothel. She was left alone, bearing the burden for them three sisters. 

But, that day is bound to be different than the usual. Her suitor that caused her family to be ruined appeared inside her room. He was her customer that day. While he was about to climax, she pulled her hairpin and stabbed his right eye. Then, his left eye. Then, when he screamed, she stabbed his throat. Not feeling satisfied, she grabbed the fruit knife on the bedside table and sliced off his tongue. Then, his organ that was still inside her womb. 

Yes, she made herself unable to bear children anymore. If even she can't bear the humiliation that she suffered for one whole month, how much more will it be for her future children? Thus, she ended her family's bloodline with her. Yes, after she killed her black-hearted suitor, she went out of the brothel. Her whole body was soaked in blood and she marched towards their home where she found her two sisters hiding and eating, making themselves full. Then, she slit their throat before they could make a sound. 

Guilt? Remorse? She felt none of that after she killed her sisters. She only felt regret towards her father for causing their family to be ruined, pushing him to his death, and killing her sisters.

When she returned to the brothel, she was arrested and then imprisoned. In the midst of her suffering in the prison, the Wu Ran Kingdom fell into chaos. The law and order were gone. What the humans called 'hell' has begun. People became frenzied and killing, plundering, maiming were legalized. 

It was the era of the humans becoming not humans anymore, and they were even worse than the beasts. But, for Du Xiang, this is good, as she began to hunt down those who humiliated her. She found first the one who took her innocence away. He knew she was still ripe, but he was very rough on her. 

She found out that he has a lover. But so what? Du Xiang called the man and, while they were at it, she looked at the wardrobe where the man's lover was hiding, trembling in fright and anger. Then, in front of her horrified eyes, she killed her man. The woman was rattled, but Du Xiang didn't care about her and she went to find her second customer, third… tenth, twentieth, fortieth… some of them have families, but Du Xiang only cared about killing the head of their families. 

She didn't care about being hated, because hate is useless in the face of power. If you have the power, then avenge yourself. Avenge your family. Avenge your lover! Even before the Wu Ran Kingdom fell into chaos, justice wasn't served equally. So, where will they find justice, now that the Wu Ran Kingdom has fallen into chaos? 

The answer: gain power. Become strong. Justice won't come to you, since you will bring justice, which you seek, with your own hands! This is what Du Xiang did and showed the others. Thus, the Wu Ran Kingdom became even more chaotic. Of course, many of those family members of whom she killed also tried to kill her. But, what can they do? They can't kill her. Because she is stronger than them! 

Realizing this fact, the citizens of the Wu Ran Kingdom became wilder. They started to seek strength, power… and so, demonic cultivation has begun. Du Xiang, however, her life is coming to an end. She was suffering from an illness she caught back then when she was working in the brothel. 

But, she has already avenged herself. She was now ready to die. But, when she was about to die, the lover of the man whom she killed came to her. She is actually a doctor, and she can cure her illness! She knows how to cure her, since her lover infected her with the same disease. Thus, Du Xiang's life was saved. The woman told her that their life is still starting, and they have a long life ahead of them. 

Du Xiang asked her for her name. Then, she told her that she will repay her for saving her. But, the woman only asked of her to guide her in life, since she also has almost fallen to ruin after she almost married that man. And so, Du Xiang had her first follower – 

"Ah Ke! It's Ah Ke!" the people in the Peony Plaza exclaimed when they recognized the woman coming out of the Tianyi Brothel. 

Shang He and Meng Gui looked at the woman with a delicate face stopped outside the Tianyi Brothel. Unlike Du Xiang and any other followers of Du Xiang, only she is not wearing any makeup. She is also plainly dressed, but it didn't hide her beauty. In fact, it made her delicate face distinct. Her clean face and plain dress made everyone identify her. 

"Ah Ke." Meng Gui who came out of his palanquin called. She knows this woman, too, of course. But, aside from her identity as Du Xiang's first follower and confidante, she is also a very famous doctor. Some of Meng Gui's people were once cured by Ah Ke. 

Ah Ke has lived a clean life. Even if she was Du Xiang's follower, but not a man has touched her. She could have lived a plain life, but she became one of Du Xiang's people. 

Ah Ke turned to Meng Gui. "Leader Meng." She respectfully called and bowed. Among the rivals of Du Xiang, ironically, only Meng Gui has gained her respect. Not because of Meng Gui's pretty face, but because of Meng Gui's sincerity. 

Ma Wen is a crafty old fox. Each of his actions are calculating. Meanwhile, Shang He, although honest, but is brusque. Only Meng Gui is a man of finesse, but not a hypocrite. 

"Quit the chit-chat!" Shang He snapped and pointed his sword towards Ah Ke who turned to him, her face and eyes are calm and without a ripple. "Where is Du Xiang? Take her out and I'll kill her!" he told her. 

See? Shang He is such a brute. "She's dead." Ah Ke, nonetheless, answered. But, her words brought violent waves to everyone's heart. 

"What?!" they exclaimed in shock. 

"She has a long-term illness." Ah Ke said. "I haven't completely cured it before. I lied to her. I could only prolong it." She explained and looked at them all. Then, suddenly, her calm exterior changed and she smiled. 

Suddenly, some men have fallen to the ground, then died.
