Chapter 323 - The Scum Is Adaptive

Name:The Scum Is A Author:HuilongShenghou
Yu Sheng didn't look surprised. "It would be easy for your group to deal with them." He said. It isn't because he underestimates the strength of the demonic cultivators, nor overestimate their group's abilities, but because he trusts their group's capabilities.

Qian Lin and Jing Hei have undergone the trials of the Intersect Competition, and they have soaked in the Spring of Life, having its blessing thus their strength increased to Nascent Soul Stage cultivators. Lei Qing's strength is also a shy away from the Nascent Soul Stage after she experienced a breakthrough during the Intersect Competition. Lei Ling and You Rou may haven't experience their breakthrough during the Intersect Competition, but they did after the war against the demonic cultivators broke out.

There's also no need to mention Qian Tian. Although Qian Tian is the youngest elder in their Qianxu Sect, but his strength is nearing his father's, Qian Shan's, strength.

"Indeed." Qian Tian nodded in agreement.

Yu Sheng observed them. "There's one more thing?" he asked when he saw their expression of wanting to say something but hesitating. Although their expression has relaxed after finally setting up the barrier around the Millennium Ship, but they also looked tense as if they have undergone through something.

"Yes." Lei Qing answered. "The demonic cultivators that attacked us are different from the usual demonic cultivators." She said. The usual demonic cultivators she is talking about are the ones who always attack them, wielding their long swords.

However, when they checked the group of demonic cultivators that attacked them, their weapons aren't long swords.

"Different? In what way?" Yu Sheng asked.

"The group of demonic cultivators this time seemed to come from a tribe." Jing Hei answered.

"A tribe?" Zuo Zhe was surprised.

"Yes." Qian Lin nodded.

"What do they look like?" Yu Sheng casually asked.

"They have braided hairs with colorful beads at the end of their braids." Qian Tian answered. "There's also a tattoo on their face, neck and chest, with some symbols and strange characters. We couldn't decipher them – " he helplessly sighed in defeat.

Although he is a promising son, caring brother, and an outstanding da shixiong, but he isn't a genius. His achievements are large contributed by his hard work and patience. He obviously can't compare with Cheng Sheng, a genius, who, if is here right now, might have understood what do these demonic cultivators' tattoos mean.

"Also, their weapons are sabers." Qian Tian added when he remembered those curved swords held by the demonic cultivators.

Because of the unfamiliarity with the enemies' weapon, they had to become more cautious. Thus, the battle became harder than usual. Fortunately, everyone is adaptive and the number of the demonic cultivators that attacked them is small so they won the battle.

Everyone is preoccupied with the demonic cultivator's tattoos and weapons that they didn't notice Yu Sheng's expression underwent a big change. "Braided hair with beads?" Yu Sheng muttered, his brows knitted in deep contemplation. "Saber?" he added.

Zuo Zhe who's near Yu Sheng heard him spoke and he turned. "What's wrong?" he asked when he saw Yu Sheng's knitted brows. He never saw Yu Sheng show this complicated expression before. His heart thumped. He suddenly felt nervous.

Yu Sheng turned to him and his eyes narrowed as if he thought of something. Zuo Zhe's heart skipped a beat. Oh, no. What is it now?! Why does he look murderous?! He thought and felt his heart beat faster. He subconsciously took a step back, away from Yu Sheng.

"Oh, right." Qian Tian spoke, didn't notice the change in the atmosphere between Yu Sheng and Zuo Zhe. "Young master Yu, young master Zuo. Were you alright? How did the Sealing go?" he asked.

Yu Sheng broke his eye contact with Zuo Zhe and turned to answer Qian Tian. "Killed them all." He spoke and pulled Zuo Zhe's arm. "Zhe is tired. We're going to rest first." He said, ignoring Zuo Zhe's silent refusal when Zuo Zhe tried to pull his arm back.

"Oh, of course. Of course." Qian Tian nodded and waved at them, indicating that they can go inside in the cabin to rest.

"En." Yu Sheng nodded at Qian Tian before he pulled Zuo Zhe away.

Zuo Zhe, although he felt scared, but he doesn't want the others to notice and drag them in his problem. "What do you want now?!" he asked Yu Sheng after Yu Sheng closed the door of their room.

"What you wrote – " Yu Sheng spoke as he looked at Zuo Zhe. " – where did those tribesmen come from?" he asked.

"'tribesmen'…?" Zuo Zhe's brows knitted and he frowned. "I didn't write anything about them!" he said.

"Are you sure?" Yu Sheng asked.

"Yes!" Zuo Zhe nodded hard.

Yu Sheng stared at Zuo Zhe for a long time and saw that Zuo Zhe's eyes are clear. Zuo Zhe is indeed telling the truth. He also remembered what Fei Yin told him before about the 'dreams' sent to the people of the other world, and those people became authors, like Zuo Zhe, after they wrote about their 'dreams' as a form of their imagination.

However, Zuo Zhe said he didn't know about these tribesmen. Thus, it means that he didn't write anything about them, yet the tribesmen appeared. Fei Yin also said before that since only some parts of the 'story' were sent, Zuo Zhe naturally wouldn't know the appearance of the remaining parts of the story.

Like Yu Sheng and Cheng Sheng being Hui Shen's children. This wasn't 'sent' to Zuo Zhe as a dream to be written. Thus, Zuo Zhe doesn't know about Yu Sheng and Cheng Sheng being demigods. And since Zuo Zhe doesn't know about these tribesmen's existence, Zuo Zhe wasn't sent a 'dream' about these tribesmen. Then, where did these tribesmen come from?

Yu Sheng feels like he got the answer. He immediately opened the door and pulled Zuo Zhe outside to go back to the others.

"Hey! What's wrong with you?!" Zuo Zhe asked as he moved his feet after being dragged by Yu Sheng.

Yu Sheng didn't answer. "Qian Tian." He called.

"Huh? You came back. Why didn't you rest?" Qian Tian asked.

Yu Sheng didn't answer and just pushed Zuo Zhe towards the group. "You and Jing Hei. Come with me." He said. "I'll leave Zhe here to protect them." He told him.

"Huh?" they blankly looked at Yu Sheng.

"When Zhe and I sealed the Ni Lai Gate, we didn't meet these tribesmen. However, that was because we were fast and also fast to leave and return here." Yu Sheng said. "I think, the others would be meeting these tribesmen." He told them.

Their eyes widened in shock. "What?!" they exclaimed and looked at each other, alarmed.

"You have 'exchanged pointers' with them, so you should have observed their sword habits and had a solution how to repel their attacks. We have to hurry and go help them." He explained.

Qian Tian nodded, his expression heavy. "Qian Lin. Lei Ling. Lei Qing. You Rou. You stay here." He told them as he and Jing Hei walked towards Yu Sheng.

"Don't worry. Zhe is capable of protecting them." Yu Sheng told Qian Tian and then looked at Zuo Zhe who's wearing a wronged expression. "I'll tell you when we get back." He told him before he turned to Qian Tian and Jing Hei. "Jing Hei. You go to your uncle's group." He said. "Qian Tian…"

"I'll go to elder Fei and elder Xi's group to assist them." Qian Tian said.

Yu Sheng nodded. "Then, I'll go to the Xinfaxian Sect's group." He said.

Qian Tian and Jing Hei didn't dare underestimate Zuo Zhe's skill after they learned that Zuo Zhe sealed more than five Ni Lai Gates. The three didn't waste any time and immediately flew to different directions.

As Yu Sheng expected, everyone really is having a hard time dealing with the curved sword of the demonic cultivators that attacked.

"Jing Cheng…" Jing Rui called, anxiety can be seen in his face as he looked at Jing Cheng's robe was torn after he narrowly dodged the tip of the curved sword of the demonic cultivator that attacked him.

"Don't mind me, uncle!" Jing Cheng said as he leapt in the air and turned, then slashed the throat of the demonic cultivator that was near where he landed. "We have to kill them all to give Jing Kang qi!" he said and catch his breath.

"En." Jing Rui nodded and started to concentrate on his own battle.

On Fei Lin's side, he is dividing his attention between his fight and Jing Bai and Feng Mo who are wearing a distraught look. There were scratches on their body caused by the curved sword of their enemies. Xi Ling still has enough qi on his body and doesn't need his support at the moment.

"When they attack, try and increase the distance between you and their weapon!" Fei Lin told them as he kicked the demonic cultivator that attacked him and then stabbed him in the chest.

Jing Bai's and Feng Mo's eyes brightened after they learned something new. "Yes!" they answered and started to counterattack.
