Chapter 653 - The Scum Is Eager

"Oh?" Cheng Sheng muttered and the corners of his lips raised when he and Fei Yin arrived and saw Fei Yinzi agilely dodged the demons that tried to surround him.

Fei Yinzi thrillingly escaped their pursuit by slipping through the branches of the trees and then ran away while the demons that have been following them got stuck due to their large bodies. Then, Fei Yinzi stopped and turned, only to throw a talisman at them.

BOOM! The talisman exploded at the demons and the demons died.

"Er Zi is getting clever!" Feng Mo proudly smiled as they watched Fei Yinzi run towards a group of demons who are about to clash with him.

Then, they watched as Fei Yinzi leapt and kicked a tree, making his body flew mid-air, just above the heads of the demons that were dumbfounded to see him escape before their eyes. Fei Yinzi flipped his body mid-air while unsheathing his sword and waved it, sending a sword glare on the demons below.

"AAAARRRHH!!" the demons screamed when the sword glare hit them at the same time Fei Yinzi landed on his both feet behind them.

Fei Yinzi didn't bother looking back and he resumed running, leaving the scattered limbs of the demons he just killed behind him.

"So cool!" Tang Li exclaimed as they watched Fei Yinzi's cool maneuvering of the battlefield.

"Wait – " Xi Ming said as his eyes narrowed when he noticed something. "Why is it only him? Where are the others?" he asked as he looked around the area where Fei Yinzi is fighting against the demons. "He didn't have a group or someone to pair with?" he asked, puzzled.

"There are only two days left of the third stage of the competition after today, so everyone wanted to keep the points that they will earn all to themselves." Jing Cheng spoke as he watched Jing De and Jing Xu have a contest to see who can kill more demons today.

Kang Ce nodded in agreement. "That's true." He said and smiled when he saw Li Yan stole a demon from Tang Li, which made Tang Li angry.

Tang Zhe helplessly sighed and shook his head when he saw Tang Li denouncing Li Yan.

"What is the point of getting mad? You are just wasting your time." Guo Cheng frowned.

"You are right." Tang Yun laughed as he nodded in agreement.

Shan Lu scratched his head. "But I will get angry, too?" he said.

Guo Cheng rolled his eyes at him. "And this is why you are both idiots!" he muttered.

Tang Yun laughed while Tang Zhe smiled, shaking his head at Shan Lu who felt even more confused why Guo Cheng became angrier.

"The participants are all going all-out!" Jing Kang said.

"This is exciting!" Jing Hei grinned as they watched the Shanliangde Sect disciples flying above the trees to chase the demons that are running away after they saw the large number of the Shanliangde Sect disciples.

Xi He still didn't go with them, though, and chose to be a lone wolf again.

"They are now all going all-out because there are no more dangers that can constrain them." Shu Mu said and smiled.

Qian Tian nodded. "Yes. Before, they all have to devote their time to deal with the other problems like the spies and the foreign talismans. Now, they can fight to their hearts' content." He said and smiled.

Qian Lin happily smiled as he watched Qian Jue and Qian Meng fighting against the demons together. "They have grown up…" he said.

Zheng Yi patted Qian Lin's back as they resumed watching the participants.

"Hey. Wait. What is that disciple doing?" Wu Tong asked when he saw Wen Wen ran to Wu Tie's side.

"Hm? He is…" Su Wan's eyes narrowed as they all watch Wen Wen brought a qiankun pouch and opened it.

"Wu Tie-shixiong! Do you want to buy some talismans?" they heard Wen Wen asked as he flashed a bright smile at Wu Tie.

Wu Tie looked at his qiankun pouch which now turned empty after he used some of his talismans just now. "En. A whole bunch." He answered as he took the qiankun pouch from Wen Wen.

"How about some magic pills? It wouldn't be too late for you to replenish your energy later!" Wen Wen said as he took out another qiankun pouch filled with magic pills.

"Sure." Wu Tie nodded as he took two bottles, with one bottle given to Jin Yu who killed the last demon.

Everyone who saw Wen Wen made a sales pitch. "…" what the heck! Everyone are fighting while this kid is selling?! They thought with their faces covered in black lines. Then, they felt even more speechless when they saw Wu Tie paid Wen Wen through points. "…" no wonder the participants are eager to farm for points! Because they have to pay for magic pills, potions and talismans through points now that they have used up all of their money! They thought as they looked at Wen Wen in shock.

Wen Wen happily smiled and transferred the points paid for the magic pills to Cui Xiang. "Thank you foir doing business with me! I will be back in three hours, or you can just send me a Message Talisman if you wanted to buy more!" he said and waved at Wu Tie before he ran to leave, most probably to sell to the other participants, particularly the Shanliangde Sect disciples.

Sun Yu who already could guess that it would be his disciples that will be sold to next. "… Xie. Lan!" he roared as he glared at Xie Lan.

Xie Lan rubbed his nose as he sheepishly smiled. "Hey. This isn't violating the rules!" he said in defense. "Didn't this happen, too, five years ago?" he asked and glanced at the sect elders who were also disciples five year ago.

Jing Cheng, Xi Ming, Tang Zhe and the others. "…" well… they thought and looked in all directions, averting the gazes of their respective sect leaders. Then, all of them looked at Cheng Sheng who were the one who sold magic pills, potions, and talismans to them before.

Cheng Sheng's brow twitched in annoyance. "What? That wasn't a violation of the rules." He said and frowned as he proudly raised his chin.

Sun Yu's face darkened. Indeed, it wasn't a violation of the rules but you still took advantage of the loophole of the rules! He inwardly roared and bit his tongue, holding himself back.

"Ehem. Now, now…" Qian Shan heartily laughed as he tried to be the peacemaker. "Let's resume watching, alright?" he told them.

"Hmph!" Sun Yu scoffed as he glared at Xie Lan before he turned his gaze back on the competition.

Xie Lan smiled as he whispered to Cheng Sheng. "Xiao Sheng. You were right to make business in the competition five years ago, or else our sect would still be poor." He told him.

Cheng Sheng's lip twitched. "En." He just said.

Fan Wen smiled while Li Tian, Feng Mo, Lei Qing, Lei Ling and You Rou silently laughed while their shoulders shook.

Fei Yin shook his head as he patted Cheng Sheng's back. "It was really a good move. Look, not only our sect's disciples can make money out of this, they can also solve the other participants' problems." He said.

Sun Yu's lip twitched when he heard it while Jing Rui's cold face can't help but smile. Jing Bai covered his mouth as he forced back his laughter while Jing Cheng grinned. They can't help but reminisce the previous Intersect Competition that they have participated, too.

"Whoa… Su-er's and Yu-er's skills have improved!" Chen Han exclaimed when he saw Chen Su and Chen Yu cleverly avoided a demon before they joined hands to kill it.

"En. Indeed, Chen Su and Chen Yu have improved!" Sun Yi nodded in agreement. "Congratulations, da shixiong." He told Chen Han.

"Wu Lian's not bad, too. His swordsmanship became more polished." Chen Han said when he saw Wen Yan smoothly cut off a demon's head. "That move was too handsome just now!" he exclaimed.

"His reflexes became faster. It must be due to them being besieged before in all directions." Wu Yuan said.

"Xiao Mi's punches and kicks are getting sharper." Fan Wen spoke when he saw Su Mi's moves.

Lei Qing proudly grinned. "Punches and kicks are the best weapons in close combat!" she said.

Lei Ling's lip twitched when he heard what she said. No. You are just a barbarian, jie. He thought and sighed. "Li-shixiong, Su Yi's spells have become stronger and more accurate." He said.

Li Tian nodded and smiled, feeling satisfied. "Su Yi isn't slacking off in practicing his spells." He said. "Feng-shidi, aren't Wen Yan's and Zhu Xi's cooperation has become more tacit?" he asked.
