"That time, we guessed that Wu Tie and Jin Yu were besieged by the demons." Ling Yun started. "Our guess was confirmed when we saw that flare signal." He looked at them. "And, that flare signal was very weak." He said.

The others realized it. They were all on the ground. Usually, they would be able to see the flare signals since the flare signals would reach high, enough for everyone to see. But, most of them were surrounded by trees, and since the flare signal was very weak, it must have reached only a low height. Thus, no one would be able to see it.

"We immediately flew to their location to help them, especially that there are just two of them." Ling Yun continued. "If they can handle the demons, they wouldn't light that flare signal." He said.

They all nodded in agreement. Indeed, that is the case. So, to light the flare signal, it must be a despairing situation.

"But, on our way, we were intercepted by the demons." Ling Yun said.

The others' expression turned serious. Su Mi's group weren't chased by the demons since the Shanliangde Sect disciples have already disposed of them at the cost of their lives. Meanwhile, Wen Yan's group were chased after they found Xi He who was being chased.

"Fortunately, the four of us knows how to cast spells." Ling Yun sighed in relief when he recalled what happened earlier.

Cui Xiao and Ling Yun are mages, while Chen Wu and Wu Lian are both sword cultivators. But, Chen Wu is Cheng Sheng's nephew so Cheng Sheng must have taught him spells. And the Wu family is also close with the Chen Clan, so Wu Lian was also taught by Cheng Sheng. Thus, the four of them being besieged by the demons were avoided.

It was only then that the others realized that although there are only four people in this group, but they are also strong.

Before, they have thought that Cui Xiao and Ling Yun would rely on Chen Wu and Wu Lian… well, maybe only Cui Xiao since she is a girl. But, they didn't expect that Cui Xiao knows how to bite back! They have forgotten that she is a master pitter! And is aggressive compared to her elder sister Cui Xiang who is gentle in nature because she is a healer.

Then, there is Ling Yun. Although his cultivation is weaker than theirs, they almost forgot that he is both a mage and a sword cultivator! Not to mention that due to him being a mage that Cheng Sheng accepted him! He also possess special eyes!

They suddenly shivered in fright. They won't dare underestimate Cui Xiao and Ling Yun again!

Ling Yun, who is narrating their group's experience earlier, didn't notice the others' expressions. "After killing those demons that intercepted us, the demons nearby, and some that were besieging Wu Tie and Jin Yu, were naturally attracted by the noise and scrambled towards us, seeing new targets." He said and grimaced. "But, thankfully, due to that, Wu Tie's and Jin Yu's burden has decreased!" he smiled.

The others sighed in relief.

"Chen Wu-ge and Wu Lian-ge really are strong!" Ling Yun continued as he sighed in admiration. "After Cui Xiao and I froze the demons using potions and spells, respectively, both of them did the killing blow in just one strike!" he said.

The others' eyes widened as they tried to imagine it.

"Then, the demons left saw us and got scared, so they decided to return attacking Wu Tie and Jin Yu, who were already injured." Ling Yun said.

"Picking the soft persimmons, huh?" Tang Li muttered and clicked his tongue in disgust.

"Yeah…" the others nodded in agreement. "Demons are really demons." They said. What they mean is that the demons would pick on the weak and fear the strong.

Ling Yun shook his head while sighing. "We immediately blocked the attacks for them." He continued as he looked at Wu Tie and Jin Yu lying on the beds. "They were already on their last legs, and Wu Tie was unconscious. It was Jin Yu left standing and he was protecting Wu Tie." He told them.

He is very faithful to his master, as expected of a spirit servant. He thought. One of the spirit servants' duty is to always be present by their master's side so that they could always save them and avoid their master being harmed.

The others looked at Wu Tie and Jin Yu whose expressions finally eased while they are sleeping.

"But, them falling in this condition… it is not that unfortunate." Jing De said.

They all looked at him.

"Of course, if they won't gain anything from this misfortune that befell them, the heaven would be extremely wronging them." Jing De sighed. "Look." He said and showed them the leaderboard.

"Whoa! Holy fck!" they cursed in both shock and awe when they saw that the Shanliangde Sect disciples have returned to the top of the ranking! As well as their sect!

"Just how many demons they have killed for them to earn this many points?!" Tang Li exclaimed and he looked at the Shanliangde Sect disciples with a complicated gaze.

"But, of course, it is not like we have earned nothing in helping them, either." Jing De continued.

"What do you mean?" Qian Meng asked.

"Simple. Since we have seen the might of the stronger demons, we would be able to tread more carefully unlike them." Jing De said and pointed the patients.

They grimaced. This is just like they are benefitting out of others' misfortune. This really leaves a bad taste. But, it is not like they have wished for this to happen to their opponents, either! And they even helped them without asking in return! They even used many magic pills and potions without paying…

Thinking until here, they paused. They looked at each other, then their gazes fell on Cui Xiang who yawned.

"Hm?" Cui Xiang turned when she noticed them looking at her. She had just finished treating the Shanliangde Sect disciples, and Fei Yinzi, Wen Wen and Ling Yun are treating Wu Tie and Jin Yu with Cui Xiao assisting them.

"Xiang-jie." It was Sun Ri. "How much should we pay for the magic pilsl and potions?" she asked.

Everyone turned to her and suddenly felt pity, and guilt for some reason.

"Please don't say again that we don't need to pay." Sun Ri said when she saw Cui Xiang's expression of refusal. "We… our sect really have imposed a lot on you all." She said and sighed. "Don't even mention the foods… and the tents…" she said.

They all grimaced. That's right. If not for the Xinfaxian Sect and the Youxiwang Sect bringing seeds to grow and artificially make them grow using potions, they would have long been starved after picking all the edible fruits and plants around them.

Of course, farming was suggested by Cheng Sheng again.

"But, you have been helping us raise the plants, too, and fetch water and wash the bowls, as well as clean the surroundings, when you don't have to." Cui Xiang told Sun Ri. "So, don't take the food and tent into account." She told her.

Sun Ri's eyes brightened. "Then, I will take this as you agreeing that we will pay for our medical expenses?" she said.

Cui Xiang sighed in defeat and smiled. "En." She said. "You discuss this with your fellow disciples first before you pay me." She said and yawned again.

"Jie." Cui Xiao called. "I'll take you back to our tent. You rest first." She told her and helped her up.

Cui Xiang smiled. "What a good little sister." She said and patted Cui Xiao's head.

The others sighed, feeling guilty, as they watched Cui Xiang left with Cui Xiao. Because it was only Cui Xiang who is a doctor here, naturally, her burden is the biggest since being in a competition, it is inevitable to be hurt. Worse, to be gravely injured, and the worst, to die. Fei Yinzi and Wen Wen, including Ling Yun, might know some things regarding medicine and treatment, but it wasn't as deep as what Cui Xiang has learned from Cheng Sheng and her master, You Rou, who was also Cheng Sheng's student.

They can't also make Fei Yinzi and Ling Yun treat them, since both are sword cultivators and are also competitive. As for Wen Wen, his knowledge regarding medicine is even less then the two, not to mention Cui Xiao. So, they can only rely on Cui Xiang regarding this matter.

"Everyone… what happened?" Chen Wu asked when he and Wu Lian have finally returned. Seeing that no one answered, he guessed that it must be not that serious. He clapped his hands. "Everyone saw that the Shanliangde Sect has returned to the top rankings, including Wu Tie and Jin Yu." He said.

Everyone nodded and looked at the patients lying on the bed.

"We should strike while the iron is hot and reclaim the top rankings!" Chen Wu looked at them. "Everyone, let us all work hard!" he told them.

"Yes!" they all answered.
