Chapter 45 - A Movie Night

"She didn't have appetite for the French Cuisine or any outdoor food so I offered to cook a home meal for her. Thus, bringing her to my place for dinner." Si Junyan finally came up with an excuse after thinking over it for a long time.

"Ah, I see. That's fine. You both enjoy your time. I'll be waiting over." Old Master Su was satisfied with how things were progressing. 

"Yes, Grandpa. I will drop her...." Before Si Junyan can finish his sentence, he saw Su Mo Jiaran rushing up to him making him put a pause on his words.

Yan Shu didn't want to go back to villa since she felt much more comfortable and warm here at her home. Actually,she wasn't able to find any excuses to live here for even a night before. Now, she had one and that's Si Junyan. '

Why not make a full use of him!' She thought to herself. With that thought in mind, she went to find a blank copy in her study.

Just when she was done and came out, she heard him saying he will drop...., she hurriedly indicated him with her hands to stop and rushed towards him. By the time she arrived to where he was standing, she was about flip the copy in her hands to show him what he should tell, her foot slipped because of her fast speed leading her to land upon Si Junyan making both of them fall with Yan Shu on top along with a loud thud.

"What happened? Are you okay? What's going on? Where's Mo Ran?" From the other side of the phone, the constant yelling of Old Master Su wafted to this side interrupting their moment.

"Hic... hic...." Yan Shu hiccupped as she realized her position. Her eyes that were staring at Si Junyan's eyes were now glancing sideways as she tried to get up. 

Si Junyan coughed as he also took off his gaze towards the other side while waiting for her to stand up.

"It's nothing. My cat just jumped over me." As soon as they got up, Si Junyan picked up the phone to reply to Old Master Su. 

"Ah... I was worried for nothing. Having a pet can be troublesome sometimes." Having no idea of what actually happened, Old Master Su talked for a long time advising how he should look after his cat.

On the other hand, Yan Shu's face flushed when she heard their conversation. It was already embarrassing enough to fell upon him and now she was even regarded as a wild cat! She didn't know whether she should feel happy or angry.

"I will surely do as you said." Si Junyan finally felt relieved when Old Master Su was done talkinh about cats.

"You better do. By the way, where you were before your cat jumped? I mean you were saying about dropping Mo Ran?" Old Master Su suddenly remembered their main topic of the call.

"About that.." Si junyan looked at Su Mo Jiaran as he didn't know why she stopped him back then.

Since Si Junyan had put the call on loudspeaker mode after he picked up the phone while getting up, Yan Shu had already heard what Old Master Su said. She was instantly reminded of the reason of hers rushing to here, where he was.

She then silently flipped the cover of the copy she was holding and showed the first page to Si Junyan where she had written what she wanted.

[Tell, Grandpa, that I'll be staying over as you want to watch some movies with me since you don't like watching movies alone and you will send me off in the morning.]

Reading the first phrase, his eyes widened in shock. He was speechless how he was framed as a pervert inviting an underaged girl to his home in excuse of watching movies!! At this moment, he regretted entering the house and agreeing to her conditions.

He wondered what Old Master Su will think of him as after today. No, the thing is, will he even let her stay to his home!?

"Uhm... cough... Grandpa, Jiaran suggested to watch movies after the dinner. By the time, when the movies will end, it will already be quite late. I mean if we.. the movies end soon, I will drop her off but if it's too late... She agreed to uhm... uhm... stay here." Si Junyan had a hard time finishing the sentence. He could feel his ears burn.

Yan Shu noticed how Si Junyan's ears turned bright red while he spoke amd his cheeks have also become abit pinkinsh after he was done speaking.

She wanted to laugh so hard but restrained herself as Old Master Su was still on the call.

There was a long silence at the other side of the phone.

"Xiao Yan, it's alright if she enjoys there. Moreover, I have faith in you both. Then, I'll be troubling you iver to look after her for the night." Just when Si Junyan thought he should explain the matter further feeling discomfort over the long silence, Old Master Su approved to the request.

"I won't disappoint you. Rest assured, Grandpa." Si Junyan felt like he should say something that could strengthen the trust of Old Master Su of him as he reassured him.

"Young People should enjoy your personal time. Go, cook and enjoy. I won't held you back anymore." Old Master Su laughed as he understood what Si Junyan was trying to do.

"Then I'll be going off." Si Junyan greeted Old Master Su for one last time before hanging up. 

He heaved a sigh of relief when his eyes fell upon the portrait of Yan Shu put on the upper shelf.

He remembered the portrait from the auction day but to him,it was unexpected of her to bring this portrait here. This only made him suspicious of Su Mo Jiaran more.

"Thanks. Then, I will go back to do what I was doing before, you can make yourself home. Just don't enter the study." Yan Shu said indifferently before going back to the study.

Si Junyan didn't even get the chance to nod. However, he was curious to see what she was doing in there but unfortunately it was against his morals. Anyways, getting till here was satisfactory for the first time.. He believed that he can make her let him in, in the study sooner or later too.
