Chapter 42 - End Of It

"Master Si, thanks for taking care of me that day at the hospital." Since Yan Shu will leave soon after as she has finished her food, she decided to cut to the point because of which this lunch meeting had to take place.

"It's a small matter, you don't have to thank me for that." He stated. For him, Su Mo Jiaran was part of his family since he treated Su Jiacheng like his own brother. He wasn't bothered by it instead he felt obligated to do it.

"Then I shall take my leave now since I am done here." She stood up to leave the place. 

"I can give you a ride if you don't mind." Si Junyan suggested. 

"Thanks. But I can go on my own." She then turned around and walked towards the exit.

'How come I didn't notice before how stunning she looked today!' As he watched her go far and far away from him, he realized that Su Mo Jiaran had dressed up differently today. She looked so stunning from behind that he regretted for not noticing her when she was infront of him. Now no matter how much he wanted to see her front again, it would be hard to explain if he stopped her.

As soon as she left, The four men sitting in the corner rushed up to Si Junyan.

"Brother, you've got a date uh-huh!?" Tai Yi was the first one to speak while the other just took their seats on the table. Being reluctant on spending money, they didn't order anything except a cup of coffee. Now that their ultimate breadwinner was here, they didn't bother to hold back themselves as they ordered one after one dishes.

"You've got that much time to waste?" Si Junyan didn't reply instead questioned them in return with one of his eyebrows lifted while the other narrowed.

"It was him. We were dragged by him." The three guys pointed at Tai Yi shifting all the blames on him.

"Was it me who suggested betting?" Tai Yi yelled back in defense. Although he was the one to start, but it was them three who wanted to continue and chase till the end leading to their bets on the topic and following Si Junyan here.

"Brother, we were working when Hidden_Dragon summoned us in the gc saying you were out about to cheat our sister-in-law. Worried we three came to make sure that you don't do anything unethical." The blonde guy aka Awaken_Dragon explained.

"Yes, yes. He is right. We were just worried. But who knew that it would turn out to be your so called fiancée." The guy with pierced ears aka Mortal_Dragon chimed in.

"Brother, let's forget the past and move on. We are hungry." The tallest guy aka Immortal_Dragon interjected. He didn't care about his brother's matter since it was his personal matter to handle. He only wanted to eat and return back to his home as soon as possible.

"Then the one who created the trouble, should be the one to solve it." Si Junyan already knew what they were upto. These guys were the ones he'd spent half of his life with in abroad. Or one can say he's more closer with them than his sworn brothers from childhood.

Si Junyan stood up and walked towards the exit leaving Tai Yi to pay up for their meals.

Awaken_Dragon, Immortal_Dragon and Mortal_Dragon glanced at Tai Yi. Smiling viciously at him, they ordered all the expensive dishes to rip Tai Yi off.

"Sh*t" I shouldn't have come here since the beginning. No.. nonono. I shouldn't have just told them everything only to suffer theses much losses." He mumbled helplessly.

Since her ride was now gone, Yan Shu had no choice but to walk the road by herself. Feeling bored, she decided to take a look around the mall situated on the first few floors of Immersion.

Upon stepping out of the elevator, the first thing that caught her attention was her own poster, Yan Shu's poster. She was wearing a beige sleeveless satin dress paired with Cartier simple neck-piece while holding a perfume in her hands, the 'la nature's choice' perfume. Attracted by her own picture she walked towards it. Being the perfume company's brand ambassador, it was her last photoshoot campaign just two months before the accident occurred.

Subconciously, she stretched out her hand to touch herself on the picture. Her skin was glowing in there, with her face being as bright as always. For a moment, she felt like falling in love with herself.

"Probably the prettiest lady on earth right?" The sudden voice interrupted Yan Shu's movement.

Feeling abit annoyed, she turned around to take a look of the person who disturbed her.

As soon as she turned around, she was stunned seeing the person. She didn't expect to bump into the person she wanted to see the least.

She did not feel like talking and hence, she decided to ignore and walk away.

"Are you a fan of hers? You shouldn't be." The man stated with a hint of mocking in his tone.

Although, Yan Shu was in no mood of argue with somebody and wanted to leave for the other direction, his last words lit the burning fire within her.

"Why?" She asked expressionlessly as she glanced him sideways while standing with her folded arms.

"Why? ... That might be the hardest question to answer for others but you have asked the right person." He paused and laughed. It was obvious from his looks that he looks down on the mentioned person.

Yan Shu just stayed quiet. She'd already guessed much what the other person was about to say but still she wanted to hear it from his own mouth.

"Yan Shu is the most pretentious and vicious woman one can ever come across to. She is not as pure as everyone especially her fans make her out to be. Do you know how many person's life she'd ruined? Ofcourse not. How are you suppose to know that!! You won't ever know it cause those things are handled by her from behind the scenes. Actually, no! It might not be her but the powerful person that she has, for her to support." The man explained, a tinge of hatred and anger can be detected in his eyes when he spoke about Yan Shu.

Yan Shu was startled again. That was not what she expected from him to hear. Back then, this guy was the one who kept persuading her to go on a date with him. After much persistance, when she agreed to have a dinner with him to clearly cut things, he was the one who took things on different level making the situation out of control to handle. It was fortunate for her to be able to escape his trap that day and if not for him being her co-actor, she would've surely sued him for the things he had done but she didn't as she took the crew's all the hard work of several months into consideration.

Few days later after that incident, he was caught by the police for drug-dealing and young-girl trafficking case which put an end in his career. Never in her wildest dreams did she expect that he will blame her one day for his own doom caused rather by his doings.

"The story is quite juicy. Why don't you go write a script instead of throwing dirt on her!? Oh, pardon, I bet you don't even have the slightest bit of connection with the entertainment industry." Yan Shu mocked him While she let out a loud sarcastic laugh.

"Connection? Doesn't matter to me. As long as she's gone from the industry, I can rose in the industry anytime." He knew no one will believe him except him and the one who caused that incident that day. Till this day, his body shivers whenever he was reminded of that day.

Yan Shu was just playing along with him until she heard the words 'As long as she's gone'. A chill ran down her spine as she thought of the unexpected. She now doubted if the accident was pre-planned. She stared at the man standing an arm away from her suspiciously as anger rose within her.

"Zexi, why are you here? I was looking around for you everywhere!!" A coyish tone of woman shifted Yan Shu's thoughts again. 

Yan Shu watched as the woman came up to where they were standing and hooking her arms with the man's before she also glanced back at Yan Shu.

Yan Shu's last bit of straw was broken upon seeing the woman making her certain of the things she didn't dare to imagine.
