Time flies. Six years had passed.

“Run! Hurry up and run! The Luo family’s little brat is coming!”

The street vendors all trembled with fear in their eyes as they heard the phrase “little brat”. Everything turned chaotic.

They quickly packed up their stalls without any hesitation as if they were escaping from a disaster.

The bun seller, Zhang San, finished packing instantly and quickly went into hiding. His actions were so skillful and efficient that it made the others feel sluggish.

Just then, a little boy about ten years of age ran nervously toward them as he looked back from time to time.

In the next moment, when he again turned to look, his pupils suddenly constricted as if he were experiencing the worst nightmare of his life.

“Stand aside, I said stand aside!”

A child-like voice sounded, while an agile white figure scudded over.

It was a giant snow-white dog. On its back was a porcelain doll-like little girl.

She was the one shouting earlier.

The little girl had pink chubby cheeks, bright eyes, and twin braids. She was wearing a bright-red, cross collar Ru skirt with a white rabbit embroidered on the front of her chest. She had a playful smile which made her look energetic and cute.

However, she seemed a tad too energetic in everyone’s eyes.

“Oh no! My candied hawthorn stick, it’s all gone!”

“Wah! My fried bread stick and dumplings are gone too!”

The giant snow-white dog was too quick such that the stalls which did not close in time were blown away by the gust of wind which followed the dog’s trail.

Whoosh!

The giant snow-white dog leaped over to block the boy who was trying to escape.

“Luo Xiaoman, that’s enough! What do I need to do in order for you to leave me alone?” Wan Lin said while gnashing his teeth as he stared angrily at the porcelain doll in front of him.

“Hand me the Qinglin Dew and I’ll leave you alone!” Luo Xiaoman raised her head and spoke in a playful manner.

“Impossible!” Wan Lin rejected unhesitatingly. He would either be beaten to death by his father, or he would cry himself to death if he ever gave the Qinglin Dew away.

It was his key to making an impact during the core formation period. He would not let go of it so easily.

“Well, that’s too bad. If you don’t want to hand it over, I guess I’ll need to take it from you by force!” Luo Xiaoman smiled wickedly, looking like a little demon.

“Luo Xiaoman, your family and mine are among the three largest families in White City. As the eldest son in the Wan family, for my sake, can you please stop?” Wan Lin’s face looked glum. He continued speaking in a cold tone, “As to what happened earlier, I can drop the whole thing.”

“Tsk tsk, what do you mean for your sake?” Luo Xiaoman folded her arms and plumped down on the giant dog. She took a bun out from a basket which appeared out of nowhere and flashed it at Wan Lin. “I’ve got a bun. Do you want some?”

“You!” Wan Lin glared angrily at the playful Luo Xiaoman. This was utter disrespect to the Wan family.

If it wasn’t for the giant dog and Luo Xiaoman’s escort who kept an eye on her, how could anyone who did not have any spiritual power be his worthy enemy?

“Luo Xiaoman, I’m warning you. Don’t push your luck.”

“I just like to bully you. What can you do about it? I now give you two options. Either you hand me the Qinglin Dew, or I’ll tie you up!” Luo Xiaoman took a big bite on the bun. She looked just like a little bully.

“Screw you!” Wan Lin rebuked her as he could no longer hold his anger. He drew the sword on his waist and charged toward Luo Xiaoman.

“Yo! Someone’s getting mad!” Luo Xiaoman was a little startled. She then tossed her bun away and jumped off the giant snow-white dog.

She patted the giant snow-white dog and said slyly, “Snowy, bite him!”

“Howl!” the giant snow-white dog let out a long howl. It looked quite intimidating. Then, it made a giant leap toward Wan Lin.

Wan Lin got nervous and hurriedly jumped away to evade it.

He knew how powerful the giant dog could be. So, he did not wish for a faceoff. Instead, he turned to make a backhanded stab at the dog.

Clang!

As the sword pierced Snowy’s left front leg, it made a metallic sound.

Was it this hard?

Snowy’s head turned around and bit Wan Lin’s long sword.

Clang!

As it closed its mouth shut, the long sword was crushed to pieces.

Wan Lin backed off with fear registered on his face. He knew the giant dog was powerful, but he had not expected it to be so forceful.

“Woof!” Snowy made a leap and pinned Wan Lin to the ground.
