Hizen returned to the cabin with Leasis, who was tired after crying. He laid her on the hard bed and shut the windows and the door tightly.

Her face lit by the moonlight was smudged with tears. Hizen stroked her cheek, sighing low.

His greed rose and stabbed him in the chest. As Leasis had said, the thought of wanting to forget everything and be together shook him without mercy.

‘Such a pathetic guy…’

Hizen turned around, cursing himself inside. He could no longer intervene in Leasis’ life. She had to enjoy all the things she had lost.

As he left the cabin quietly, a cold wind brushed his body. Stars were shining over the quiet village.

What’s this sound? Leasis jumped out of bed. The explosive sound that woke her up in the still night was familiar.
