It was a short moment, but Hizen’s world stopped. He could not say anything at the unbelievable situation. He felt like he was dreaming. He did not want to break that.

You’re not going to get mad, are you? Anxious, Leasis lowered her head. She squeezed out all the courage she had and said.

“Thank you. Thank you for the gift.”

A cool night breeze caressed the two’s hot cheeks, but the heat did not cool down.

His silence without spitting out any words made Leasis nervous. With her head down, she fiddled with her fingers.

Leasis rubbed her heated cheek with the back of her hand. She wanted to hide in a mouse hole right now.

Then, Hizen laughed softly. When she looked up at the pleasant laughter, she saw his face half covered with one hand.

Maybe it was because of the lamp shining on the desk in the Commander’s office. His half-visible cheek, his ears, and his neck, which were dimly revealed, were subtly red.

The figure was so beautiful that Leasis only looked at him, forgetting her shame.

There was a calm silence even after the unexpected laugh. Hizen smiled pleasantly and slightly opened his mouth.

“Leasis.”

Leasis raised her head at the low call, and opened her eyes. With a sweet smile, Hizen stopped like a picture in front of her.

She did not see anything else, she did not blink. The only thing moving was the fine gold thread fluttering in the wind.

Ah. His deep smile seemed to melt Leasis’ heart. Hizen’s voice, lower than usual, entered her ears.

Her head was turning white enough to forget how many golden eyelashes she had counted. When Leasis did not know what to do, Hizen whispered low.

“Leasis, breathe.”

Leasis let out the breath she was holding. Hizen hugged her tightly while she calmed her breath.

The second kiss was more natural, but desperate. Closer, a little closer. I wanted to be with you. Rough hands, hot body temperature, sweet scent, soft hair. I wanted to feel it right.

As time went by, her legs relaxed and her arms stretched out and wrapped around Hizen’s neck. He lifted her slightly as their lips touched again. Embarrassed, Leasis opened her eyes wide, but he did not stop.

Hizen moved his long legs, hugging her, and crossed the window of the Commander’s office.

Even at that moment, the passionate kiss did not stop. The sound of heavy breathing and saliva lingered around their ears.

Hizen laid Leasis on the sofa and took off his lips.

He licked his moist lips several times. He wanted to applaud his patience, even considering her return time.

Slowly rising up, Hizen gave her light kiss. Mwah. The sound opened Leasis’ red eyes.

A dimly-looking dark ceiling flashed through her eyes. As soon as she got up, she saw Hizen taking off his black uniform jacket and cooling off near the window.

His appearance was exceptionally clear with the dim lamp light behind. His broad shoulders were shaking slightly. He looked like that, but Hizen was dying inside, forcing himself to endure it. He encouraged himself, thinking that it was for her sake, and recited inwardly the four verses of the Harknon Empire.

“Leasis.”

At the charming low voice, Leasis trembled. He said, laying her on the sofa.

“Close your eyes.”

He did not have to tell her twice. She wrapped her arms around his neck and closed her eyes at the same time.

Leasis’ appearance made his mind more urgent. He kissed her roughly, unlike his previous cautious touch.

The old sofa could not stand the weight of the two, and it let out with a squeaky noise. But none of the two cared about it.

I’m going crazy. Hizen spit out a low sentence. The red hair scattered on the sofa smelled sweet. He did not even eat macarons, but it was sweeter than that.

Leasis’ presence infuriated him. He was more drunk than with strong alcohol. He unbuttoned her uniform jacket with his lips on her neck.

The clumsy but delicate touch pleased Leasis. She plucked up her courage and kissed Hizen briefly on the cheek. His blue eyes grew a little bigger at the unannounced movement.

She was so lovely that his heart trembled uncontrollably.

“Why are you so pretty?”

His hoarse voice was lovely. Leasis reached out and swept Hizen’s blond hair.

“Your return time has passed.”

But before Leasis could answer, he wrapped one hand around the back of her neck and the other around her waist.

Kerian and the new knights greeted Leasis when they discovered her. She smiled awkwardly on the leather sofa. She was completely red, as if she had a cold.

It was late to say hello, so the knights were puzzled, but quickly agreed. This was because Leasis had always been unpredictable when she was working as a maid for the Imperial Elite Knights.

The knights looked around in the quiet Commander’s office and asked.

“Where’s the Commander-nim?”

She could hear a shaking breath behind the sofa. Leasis jumped out of her seat, feeling a cold sweat running down her forehead.

“It’s been awhile since I last saw you. Let’s go to the cafeteria!”

After that, Leasis and the knights left the room. Hizen, lying face down behind the sofa, sighed and shook off his crumpled uniform.

He did not commit a crime, but the reason he hid was to protect Leasis. As soon as the door opened, he instinctively moved to protect her.

Even so, as a man, he could not make a scandal with Leasis, who had just become an official knight. It was like spraying ashes on her sunny road ahead.

Leasis fell on the bed and grabbed the sheets tightly with her hands. Her toes wriggled a lot because she could not get rid of her excitement.

She was breathing hard with her face buried in her pillow. His scent, voice, body temperature, and breath were still vivid in her mind. Like he was right next to her.

[Close your eyes.]

Leasis shook her head firmly. Our rightful Count-nim could not have kissed such a strange woman.

Leasis sighed with her pillow in her arms. For the first time, she felt strange feelings rising to her throat. She was frustrated, annoyed, and feverish.

That night, neither of the two could sleep.
