Chapter 281 - He Deserved To Die

"Good, because you're no longer going to be once I'm done with you."

As soon as those words left The Fox's mouth, he wasted no time and immediately came for Wuming. He could not help but feel like he wanted to laugh.

Wuming lifted his arm to block The Fox's kick and stepped out of the way. "Wow, that actually hurt!" Wuming said like it was a joke. But really, his arm felt like it was going to start bruising already.

This is good, he thought. The opponent was using too much force, he would get tired first. He would just have to jump out of the way and block as much as he could. Then when the opponent could no longer continue, he was going to kill him.

"I'm actually pressed for time," Wuming said. "My brothers are out there." He took off his shirt and wriggled his arms and legs then put up his fists in front of him. "Let's get this over with, shall we?"

"Believe me, I've been waiting for this day. No one else wants this over more than I am."

Another thing about The Fox was that he was willing to be the one on attack. Wuming had no problems being on defense. He was confident in his skill of dodging and getting into another person's head.

The Fox launched a series of punches and kicks, all of which Wuming easily blocked. For a little bonus, he turned his body and gave The Fox a kick on the back that sent him flying across the room.

"You're gonna have to try harder," said Wuming. "You've been waiting for this day. This is the only chance you'll get. Don't waste it."

The Fox's face twisted into what seemed like a thousand frowns. He got up from the floor and came for Wuming like he was going to tackle him to the ground. Well, Wuming could not have that so he decided to meet the guy half-way so he would change his course of action to defense.

Wuming stopped and launched himself in the air, his legs sticking out. He was more than impressed when The Fox bended his legs and slid to the floor instead of getting hit.

"Damn, you're flexible," Wuming laughed when he landed on his feet gracefully.

The Fox kept his face blank.

Wuming walked and they circled the space. "You know, you're thinking too much about it. Stop analyzing my movements because I just throw them in a moment's notice. I don't even know what I am going to do until I am about to do it."

"Uh-huh," answered The Fox, still keeping an eye on Wuming's limbs.

"Fox, really, you should not think too much about it. That's how you're going to lose. By thinking. Fighting is not about thinking. It's all just about instinct."

"We all have different fighting styles."

"True, but mine what's got me to the top," Wuming grinned. "As you say."

The Fox's eyebrow twitched.

"Listen, I am not the best assassin out there," he said, raising his hands in the air. "People just assume that I am."

"Number one or not, I still have to kill you."

"But you already know that you won't be able to kill me. I think you're just trying to stall me."

"Oh really?" The Fox smiled and pulled out something from his pocket. It glinted against the single bulb. "Let's take things seriously then."

Wuming flicked his fingers from his waist and the dagger flew in the air. He didn't even look at it as he caught it, returning The Fox's grin. He switched the knife to his lesser dominant hand. Gee, that first kick really did leave its damage.

"Well… are we just going to stand here? Or are we going to fight?"

The Zookeeper clamped on Feng Xuan's nape and he hauled her off the ground. The pain from his fingers caused her vision to blur and her body wanted nothing else but to wrench his hands away.

This was not good, Feng Xuan thought, if he would press her against the wall her movements would be limited. She did the oldest trick in the book and aimed for his foot and stomped on it the hardest she could. The moment that he bent over, Feng Xuan jabbed her elbow on his stomach and kneed his chest.

She made a move to get away from his arm's reach but his fingers clasped on her arm painfully. Whatever she did, did not do that much damage as she preferred. She tried to send a punch his way but he raised his arm to block her then his hand was in the air and stroke down Feng Xuan's face in a hard slap that she fell to the floor again.

"You know, Feng Xuan," The Zookeeper said to her as she spat blood to the floor. "I could really help you. I have information that you would like to know. Something about your mother."

"Don't talk to me about my mother," she said and stretched her legs, twisted her body in an almost impossible angle and swiped The Zookeeper's legs from under him with her ankles. The Zookeeper fell on the floor with a loud thud.

Feng Xuan did not wait a moment longer and scrambled on top of him, landing punch after punch with her words. "Your. Brother. Killed. Her. He. Deserved. To. Die."

Face bloodied, Feng Xuan could not believe it, The Zookeeper was smiling. That caught her off the moment and he took advantage of the missed beat and punched her side at full force.

Feng Xuan dropped to the floor, clutching her side. More blood made its way to her mouth and she choked on it for a second. The Zookeeper's fingers had rings, she wouldn't be surprised if had a cracked a rib or two.

"Hasn't it ever occurred to you?" The Zookeeper asked, "That you may be the one that killed your mother?"
