49 Mana Elemental Affinity

After Natsu summoned Esmeralda, his daily life changed by a lot.

Since his stats had already reached 200, Natsu no longer thought about raiding other Dungeons to increase his stats, or to conquer them

This was because he first needed to learn how to control his current strength, and manage the Dungeons he already owned.

Trying to increase his stats or Dungeons in such a time would do no good to Natsu.

Therefore, other than visiting each Dungeon every day, Natsu spent two hours in the morning, and two in the evening to train with Esmeralda who had grown stronger by herself.

Other than this, Natsu spent the remaining time getting close to each of his Personal Guards, and Rias. And now he was so close to each of them, that they had reached a stage where he could have sex with them at any time.

At the same time Natsu who expected Amaterasu to try something funny, so that he would be able to get rid of her instantly, was disappointed from her not doing anything.

Instead, she diligently spent her time every day managing the Dungeons and helping him out as much as possible.

He had already made sure to pass down orders to all of his Personal guards which explained many potential scenarios. And if any of them happen, they were to kill Amaterasu instantly.

Therefore, it wasn't just blind overconfidence in himself. Natsu was making preparations for many possibilities, instead of just killing her directly.

This was because even though he killed many, Natsu justified them by saying that it was meant to happen, and so on.

But, if he killed Amaterasu who submitted to him, and hadn't done a single wrong thing until now, how would he be able to justify it to his conscious?

Over the last ninety or so days, Natsu who got used the sudden growth of all his stats by 200, was now quite proficient in controlling mana.

At the same time, Natsu could even control mana to use basic spells which allowed him to float, move small objects, and so on.

But since he didn't have a mage related class, Natsu couldn't use his mana to attack others, even though he had so much of it.

The only way Natsu could attack others with his mana, was by using it to load his Elemental Guns, and then firing them towards his targets.

However even though he could do that, Natsu still made sure to have Erza and Yoruichi do that.

The reason being, Natsu's mana had no elemental attribute to it.

Therefore, it was better to have his gun loaded with bullets made of Lightning, and miniature swords, instead of filling it with his non elemental mana.

Still curious about it, Natsu who finished his training and was covered in swear asked her, "Why doesn't my mana have any affinity?"

Wiping the few drops of perspiration on her forehead, Esmeralda began explaining about the reason behind Natsu's situation.

"One's elemental affinity for their mana is decided on the day they are born, and can rarely be changed. And this is for everyone. What I'm trying to say is, every individual has a 99.99% chance of having an affinity to any one element, and even possibly more than one."

"However, you not having an elemental affinity is quite normal young Natsu. This is because you belong to the first generation."

"The first generation... You mean the first generation since the DH System?"

Nodding her head with a smile, Esmeralda said, "Yes, you're correct."

"Since you had grown up on a planet that had zero mana, even though the DH System is going to allow your body to grow stronger and absorb mana, it is quite impossible for anyone in your generation to possess an affinity to any element."

"And even if someone by a miracle does have an affinity, it will be a very weak one, and doesn't necessarily mean that they have talent in using mana."

"But don't worry young Natsu, if you ever have a kid, they will most likely have an affinity with at least one element."

"And if the kid is born to someone like me, they are guaranteed to have at least triple elemental affinity."

Saying so Esmeralda seductively licked her lips, and bent forward to show off her bountiful cleavage.

Chuckling from being used to such advances, Natsu no longer thought much about it. After all, from what he learnt, Elfs were quite a normal Race whose society wasn't much centred around sex.

This was due to how low the fertility rate was for both the males and females.

However, once a female found a male that it liked, they would never stop making advances on them, with the intention to marry them and carry their child.

"So does that mean, I can never control an element?"

Thinking for a while, Esmeralda said, "You can. Because even though most individuals are born with an elemental affinity, their quality is quite weak and cannot even allow them to summon the element they have an affinity with on the spot."

"That's why, starting from the fifth level onwards, every class related to mages starts focusing on one specific element."

"And since I'm so close to becoming a Lvl 5 mage, once I learn about how to control elements, I am very confident in teaching someone as smart as you."

Frowning from not understanding something, Natsu asked her, "Why wait till you reach Lvl 5, Esmeralda? You can already control two elements, right?"

Nodding her head Esmeralda continued her explanation.

"Yes, I can use the two elements of Air, and Healing. But, since they are something I've been able to control since birth, I use them naturally without having to think much about it."

"However if I want to teach you how to control an element, it's only possible once I reach Lvl 5. Because that is when I'll be able to pick another element to learn."

Thinking for a while, Natsu no longer said anything, and was about to leave when Carla came flying while shouting, "Master! Good news! Master! Good news! Mast..."
