Chapter 190 - The Day Of The Execution

The mutants slowly started infiltrating the city with the use of the 'rabbit hole' that had been created by the Dorgon.

With Hecathe's guidance, they went unnoticed by the guards and grouped together in the building that Hecathe had previously chosen.

In the span of a single night, more than five hundred mutants had managed to gather together in the building and there were still a lot more waiting to come.

Marvin had still not contacted Hecathe and Hecathe had also not asked the boy about his progress in Ocasia.

Everything was slowly moving according to the plan and the next few days seemed to have gone by in a flash.

Before Hecathe knew it, it was already the day before the grand auction and this was the day when Hecathe had planned to get arrested.

So far, it seemed that getting arrested was shockingly the easiest thing to do since all Hecathe did was go out without his mask.

The mecha-suits didn't panic since Hecathe had already informed them about this and as calculated by Hecathe, the three willows of spring put an execution order on him for the very next day..

Marvin was called back from Ocasia for the Execution but for the first time in Marvin's life, he rejected a letter from the three willows of spring.

He still had to carry out his half of the plan and hence, he wrote another letter back to the three willows of spring, apologizing and making an excuse for not being able to attend.

The next day was Hecathe's execution and it was also the day when the grand illegal auction would be held.

Kelly had promised the client that he would be able to meet Orgon in this auction and Marvin skillfully dressed up as Hecathe acting as his father and he waited for the client to show up.

LeiLei was also there to help Marvin as she kept an eye on all the guests that had come to attend the auction.

"Do you see him?" Marvin asked and LeiLei shook her head with a frown.

"He is not here."

Marvin gulped as he heard this and his eyebrows furrowed together in worry.

In his heart, he still had doubts.

Asgarian needed to attend Hecathe's execution which meant there was absolutely no way he could make time to come here. Under such a condition, he would most probably send one of his trusted subordinates but since there was nobody like that seen, it would not be too weird to conclude that he had forgotten about this auction.

"If nobody shows up... What are we going to do?" LeiLei questioned with a small frown and it seemed that even Marvin had no answer to that.

"Let's just wait and see," Marvin spoke as he gulped in worry.

LeiLei frowned as she heard this and although she was not as optimistic as Marvin, she still nodded her head in understanding and waited just as the boy had told her to.

Somebody was bound to show up...

"Well~ Well~" Asgarian sang as he entered the heavily guarded jail that Hecathe was restrained in.

Hecathe was once again wearing that same metal straightjacket that he had first worn when he woke up in this world. The only difference now was that he had willingly put it on this time, unlike the last, he was no longer confused or shocked by anything.

Hecathe lifted his head with a small smile on his face as he looked at the man who had finally decided to come out and greet him personally.

"I've heard quite a lot about you," Hecathe commented as he didn't look to be worried nor shocked by the man's presence.

Asgarian chuckled as he heard this and nodded his head as he responded, "Same goes for me as well. I have heard a lot about you and I have been dying to meet you again like this, Alphius."

"You don't really look dead but okay. I'll believe you," Hecathe commented sarcastically and Asgarian chuckled as he heard this.

"You're quite a funny one."

"I don't get that a lot," Hecathe truthfully responded.

"Well, in that case, I guess your words are not really appreciated by the people close to you."

"You have a way of talking..." Hecathe commented as his eyes coldly narrowed down on the man, "What can I say? It's really... Annoying."

Asgarian smiled as he heard this and took a seat as he spoke, "Why don't you mind telling me more about it?"

"Aren't I supposed to curse you behind your back? Why would I do it to your face"

"I would prefer it if you did it to my face so go ahead. I am not easy to offend."

Hecathe smiled as he heard this and he couldn't be happier to diss a person as he spoke up, "Your eyes are cold and distant. It seems as if you are completely unconcerned from reality and at the same time, it feels as if reality has been really bothering and tormenting you. You think highly of yourself. It's almost as if you love playing God. A really disgusting version of God. You look like you have a lot of patience but in reality, that is not true. You are not God and you know that. That is what really frustrates you the most. Things don't go as you plan and when that happens, you don't care if you are being careless. You are ruled by your emotions and although you hate that, there is nothing you can do about it."

Asgarian's smile was slowly disappearing as he heard this and Hecathe could clearly notice that his words were affecting the man, but this didn't stop him from continuing.

"You hate me. Actually, let me be more specific. You hate everyone that you are insecure about. Some people are born with great talents and you are afraid of them. You are afraid that they might try to question you and overshadow you. So you make sure to quietly finish them off. You are a careful person. Well... As long as things go your way. You make sure to remove the thorns before they even get to fully develop into thorns."

"It seems that you know a lot about me," Asgarian spoke up as he interrupted Hecathe, "What are you? A stalker?"

Hecathe couldn't help but chuckle dryly as he heard this and shook his head as he spoke, "I'd rather eat shit than be your stalker."

"..."

"You're actually pretty easy to read," Hecathe added as he clicked his tongue, "You're a bit smart so I thought you'd be harder to deal with, however, I guess I overestimated you. You're not as invincible as you think you are nor are you fooling with that nice and benevolent act."

Asgarian's face turned dark as he heard this and his eyes seemed to have turned a bit red.

Hecathe had caught onto Asgarian's weakness and he was not planning on letting it go.

"Alphius, you are a young genius but," Asgarian sighed as he spoke, "It's a pity that you don't know the difference between good intentions and bad ones."

Hecathe tilted his head with a smile as he heard this but said nothing as he let the man speak.

"Here I thought I could take pity on you and let you live a little longer, but it seems that you really have no value for your life."

"Being pitied by you...? I'm sorry but I'd rather choke on a d*** than have myself be pitied by the likes of you. Are you just that blind or are you acting not to see it? The most pitiful one here is you."

"..."

"It doesn't matter what you came here for 'cause, in the end, I'm still not letting you win."

Asgarian looked down at the ground and sighed as he heard this but his thoughts at the moment could not be read by Hecathe.

"You are already this powerless and yet you want to talk big," Asgarian spoke up with a faint chuckle that almost sounded mocking, "You're just like your bastard father."

Hecathe smirked as he heard this and questioned, "Do you wanna know why I am able to see through you so easily?"

Asgarian lifted his head and said nothing as he looked at Hecathe and simply waited for him to continue.

"Because there are times when I can relate to you," Hecathe spoke with a smile that looked a bit too wicked to suit Alphius's innocent face, "Wanting power and having things go your way. It's quite an enjoyable feeling. Almost addicting actually. Playing God is really amusing and in those manners, I guess I can relate to you. However, there is a huge difference between me and you."

"A difference?" Asgarian repeated as his pupils contracted.

Hecathe nodded his head as he spoke, "You are an idiot who can't control his own emotions. Since the beginning itself, you were never fit to be God."

"..." Asgarian seemed to have been stunned by Hecathe's words and his muscles immediately tensed up.

"You know this better than I do and that's why you are constantly hit with these feelings of jealousy and doubt."

Anyone who saw this scene and heard Hecathe's words would be easily able to tell that Hecathe was only aiming to achieve one purpose and that was to agitate the man.
