Chapter 77 - Betrayal Is Not An Option.

Although the Dorgon wasn't able to break out of the eggshell throughout the whole night, at this moment, thanks to Hecathe, there was a small hole on the surface of the shell which made it easier for the Dorgon to break the rest of the eggshell.

The Dorgon immediately used all his strength to push through the shell and after a few minutes, the shell was completely broken and the Dorgon could step out of it.

"Master, look! I did it!" The Little Dorgon exclaimed and looked to be really happy as he jumped around in joy.

Hecathe looked up at the creature that was already as big as his arm and his eyes narrowed down with great interest as he pondered over something.

Hecathe had read about Dorgons in Alphius's records, however, he had never seen one so it was only natural that he was a bit surprised to see this creature for the first time. He didn't really hold any expectations on how the creature would look but shockingly enough, this creature looked oddly alike to the dragons that existed in the western fairytales and animations.

"Master! Master! Master! Look!" Just like any other kid in the world, this Dorgon child was also hyperactive as it ran and hoped all over the room.

"Don't break anything," Hecathe spoke up as he warned but the Dorgon was no longer afraid of Hecathe's voice.

When he was still inside the egg, he was vulnerable, but now that the Dorgon was out of the Eggshell, he would naturally not fear the dumb human that had saved him.

"Sit down," Hecathe spoke as he gestured in front of him.

The Dorgon stopped jumping around and quietly walked over towards Hecathe as he heard the man.

"Are you excited?" Hecathe asked a question that had an obvious answer.

"Of course!" The Dorgon proudly responded, "For us Dorgons to come out of their egg, it's a thing to celebrate!"

"Then let me see you make use of that enthusiasm," Hecathe smirked as he stood up and spoke.

"Eh?"

"I'll go down for breakfast and by the time I return, you clean the room."

"..." The Dorgon was left speechless as he stared back at Hecathe in shock.

To make a Dorgon clean his room... This man certainly didn't fear death!

Hecathe casually picked up the knife from the table as he added, "I also need to return this."

"Master, I don't know how to clean," The Dorgon spoke as it tried to change Hecathe's mind on letting the little Dorgon clean his room.

"Then it's a good time for you to start learning"

"..."

Hecathe smirked as he turned his back on the Dorgon and headed for the door, however, this time, the Dorgon didn't really look to be obedient.

As soon as the creature saw Hecathe showing his back to him, he got ready to attack the man.

To make a Dorgon obey him, even Alphius didn't have such a power so how could Hecathe hope to have it?

The Dorgon was quick on his feet as he jumped up with his mouth wide open, ready to chomp at Hecathe's head, however, Hecathe seemed to have already anticipated this attack.

With a smirk on his face, Hecathe held up the knife and glanced back to position the knife at the creature's neck.

"Didn't you say you weren't going to betray me?" Hecathe asked with a small wicked smirk that managed to make the Dorgon feel a bit intimidated.

"H-How...?!" The Dorgon was left shocked by Hecathe's reflexes.

Dorgon's were known for their power and speed. If you showed a Dorgon your back and the Dorgon decided to attack you, there was no way you would be able to escape from it.

"I'm your master, do you think your master is just a normal man?" Hecathe asked with a smirk, making it almost seem as if he was both informing and warning the Dorgon.

The Dorgon gulped and backed down as he understood Hecathe.

"You've tried once and failed but I don't hope to see you pulling such stunts again," Hecathe eye's looked to be glaring with darkness in them that could not be ignored. His voice sounded even more deeper which managed to make the Dorgon feel the power that this seemingly powerless man held.

"Yes, Master," The Dorgon bowed his head docilely as if he was willing to behave properly from now on.

"Good," Hecathe nodded in satisfaction as he saw this response, "Now get to work and clean."

"..."

The great Edler could not control a Dorgon and his son, Alphius could not control a Dorgon either, but Hecathe was different from those two.

He would also not be able to control an adult Dorgon, but he could always teach a Dorgon to be obedient by molding him in that way from birth.

For a Dorgon to be obedient when it grows up, Hecathe needed to instill fear from a really early age onwards. He needed to make sure that the Dorgon understood who the Master is and who the one being raised by that Master is.

Unluckily for the Dorgon and Luckily for Hecathe, the best person to control a Dorgon was perhaps Hecathe himself.

There could really be nobody else who would be better at instilling fear and having a confident controlling demeanor.

'Born to be a leader.'

This was a statement that many had connected with the Zelium Legend, Hecathe Osborne.

Hecathe smiled as he saw the Dorgon turning back and getting to work obediently.

He didn't actually mean it when he asked the Dorgon to clean his room nor did he think that the Dorgon would actually do it, but now that the Dorgon was readily cleaning the room, Hecathe naturally didn't want to say anything and he simply let the creature do this one job that Hecathe would no longer have to worry about.

Hecathe was now in a better mood and he turned as he headed out the door and went down to the dining room to get himself the breakfast that he had asked the landlady to cook for him.
