Chapter 345 - Cap 323: The War is Over (2)

"You're seriously not going to try to steal our chakra?" - Sasuke asked calmly as he looked at the woman.

"As I said, I have neither the need nor the ability to do so" - Kaguya replied simply - "Not to mention that more than my wish, it was the Shinju's wish..."

She was not lying when she said this because it had not been her decision, but the whispers of the Shinju who had taken advantage of the weakness of her heart so that it could corrupt her d.e.s.i.r.e.

"Why did you want to steal the world's chakra and make all humans become your White Zetsu army?" - Kurama asked because this question was haunting his head for a long time.

"As I said before, we of the Otsutsuki clan are always in pairs" - replied Kaguya while looking at the former red-haired man - "And if so..."

"Where's your partner?" - Sasuke asked with seriousness and fear because he knew that if one Kaguya was dangerous, he didn't want to know about a second Otsutsuki with equal or greater powers.

"He escaped when I damaged him badly" - Kaguya answered while looking at the sky - "I used the fact that I was much weaker than him to my advantage and attacked him with all my might"

"Why did you attack him?" - Sasuke asked because he was really confused.

"First, I want to make some things clear" - said Kaguya while looking at the two guys - "Those of us who hang out together are couples decided by the leader of our clan, in other words. The man I attacked, could be considered as my fiancé, but honestly, I didn't like what he wanted to do to this world, that's why I attacked him and left him severely wounded"

" Slowly devouring it..." - Kurama muttered as Kaguya nodded.

"Exactly, my partner's goal was to consume all the vitality of this planet to create the Shinju fruit" - replied Kaguya calmly - "What he never thought, was that the vitality of this world was much stronger than he thought and when I realized this, I decided to attack him so I could take the Shinju fruit for my benefit and thus protect this wonderful world."

She was not lying, she had fallen in love with this beautiful and colorful world, although at that time she was just a young girl taking her first steps towards a.d.u.l.thood.

Those present did not know how to react to the woman's words because her image was very different from the one they had.

The Kaguya in front of them was pure, kind, and loving, while the one they knew was cruel, sadistic, and power-hungry.

"I know you won't believe me, but what I say is true" - Kaguya replied, although she had left certain details out of the conversation, such as her clan's unique ability to consume clan members to potential the power of some 'chosen ones', in fact, she was sure that Kurama possessed that ability because of the color of his Rinnegan before it evolved into the Rinne Sharingan.

"I believe you" - Kurama replied as he closed his eyes.

"Kurama!" - exclaimed those present in surprise as they never expected the Uzumaki to so quickly accept the words of the woman who until recently was his opponent.

"She gains nothing by lying to us, not to mention that I can sense when someone does it" - Kurama answered seriously while looking at the white-haired woman, not noticing any change in her voice or chakra frequency - "She is telling the truth, which explains some things that had me doubtful before..."

Hagoromo had repeatedly said that his mother was not a bad person and had only been influenced by all the dark emotions that fueled the Shinju. She was pure and kind, that's why she had fallen so hard, after all, the more 'divine', the worse the outcome when these fell from grace.

"Thank you for believing me, Uzumaki Kurama" - Kaguya replied as a small smile appeared on her face, though it quickly disappeared - "But back to the topic, I'm sure that guy will come back to this world to try to capture me, after all, I possess something he d.e.s.i.r.es."

Sasuke was silent as he frowned because the situation had gone from a happy ending to 'this story will be continued'...

"I have nothing more to request or ask you" - Kurama said as he started to think.

"Ok" - nodded Kaguya as the silhouette of her two sons appeared in front of her - "Hagoromo, Hamura?"

"It's good to see you're back to normal, mother" - said the two old men.

". . ." - Kaguya bit her lip at the sight of the state of her two sons, not because they were practically ghosts, but their appearance - "I missed so many years of your life..."

"It wasn't your fault, mother" - Hamura said as he took his mother's hand - "It was all because of the Shinju..."

"Hamura is right, mother" - said Hagoromo seriously - "If it wasn't for the Shinju, you wouldn't have changed."

". . ." - Kaguya nodded weakly as tears ran down her cheeks. She couldn't believe how her children cared for her despite all the damage, suffering and deaths she had caused.

"I think we'd better leave them alone for a few moments while we take on the task of defusing the Mugen Tsukuyomi" - Kurama said as Sasuke nodded firmly. The two boys quickly left the place and left the 3 Otsutsuki alone.

Kaguya's eyes glowed slightly for a few seconds before returning to normal, but this detail did not go unnoticed by her two sons.

"Mother..." - Hagoromo said awkwardly because he somehow felt that the prediction of his eldest son's reincarnation was going to come true.

"What's wrong, Hagoromo?" - Kaguya asked as she looked at her eldest son.

". . ." - Hagoromo stared at him for a few seconds before shaking his head. He had decided to stay out of his mother's decisions, after all, she was old enough to know what she was doing - "No, it's nothing..."

Hamura for his part, just decided that it was better to ignore everything and concentrate on the problem that was making them complex - "Is it true what you said?"

"I didn't lie" - Kaguya replied while frowning - "My d.e.s.i.r.e to protect this world may have been distorted by the Shinju's hatred, but I truly wished to prepare for the return of my clan members."

She had not sugarcoated things because her clan were like a plague despite the low number of members. They went from world to world devouring ecosystems to increase their power through the Shinju.

"If so, then we're in trouble..." - Hagoromo muttered as he frowned because he hadn't expected this kind of result. He had thought that with his mother's release, everything would be over, but now he realized that it was only the beginning.

"Now that I'm back in control, I plan to train with everything I have so I can stop those sons of bitches" - Kaguya said seriously. She felt no love or connection with her clan, not even with her parents, in fact, she hated them all Otsutsuki because she couldn't stand the idea of exterminating planets just for the sake of gaining power.

"I guess we won't be able to stay with our arms crossed either" - sighed Hagoromo with regret because he had thought that this would be his last mission and that he could finally meet again the woman he loved so much in the pure world - "I'm going to train Indra because he still doesn't control his abilities well".

"I was planning to stay for a while so that I could train my heiress, as well as the last descendant of my clan" - Hamura answered seriously - "Not to mention that I have to get those stupid elitist ideas out of that poor young man because something tells me that his end will be near if he continues on that path..."

"I'm going to train Ashura" - Kaguya replied as she looked at her sons - "If we both continue to strengthen ourselves, then there won't be a problem when the Otsutsuki clan will arrive in this world."

The two siblings looked at each other for a few seconds before nodding. They had decided to leave Kurama in Kaguya's hands, after all, that was the best way to get stronger, fighting someone equal in strength.

The Bijuu for their part, only kept silent after hearing the conversation between the Otsutsuki, just to look at each other and nod. They wouldn't let Kurama fight alone again, after all, they had their pride too.

Kushina and the other Uzumaki clan members arrived at the allied forces after seeing how the surrounding cocoons were withering away one after another, proving that the battle was finally over and with her husband's victory.

"Lead the way, Izumi-chan!" - Kushina exclaimed as she lifted the little Uzumaki princess.

"Don't treat my daughter like she's a dog or a Kurama-kun detector!" - Mikoto exclaimed angrily, only to see the little Uzumaki's fox ears and tail come out to play.

"Over there!" - Izumi exclaimed as she wagged her tail excitedly because she could smell her father's scent even though it was a little different now.
