Chapter 42 - Anbu Stalker Hanabi-chan~

The sky was a beautiful orange color when the two lovers woke up. Mikoto still had a satisfied smile on her face.

"How do you feel?" - asked the redheaded man as he stroked the woman's cheek.

"Never better" - replied the Uchiha woman as she kissed him on the cheek - "This is the best day of my life"

"And it will not be the last" - said Kurama as he kissed her on the lips which she gladly returned. She took a small hop when she felt the redhead's anatomy preparing for a new fight - "As much as I like to keep going, I think it's time we went back because my sons have to be worried that I'm not back yet".

"Ok..." - Kurama only sighed with regret. He didn't want to part with his beautiful raven-haired lady.

"Don't be like that" - said Mikoto as she looked at him lovingly - "I'm yours and that won't change... what does it matter if we're separated for a few days?"

"Right... I'm sorry..." - said Kurama as he hugged her carefully.

Mikoto didn't say anything else, she just returned the hug as the two continued to kiss.

An hour had passed and by now Kurama was returning home alone.

The two lovers had decided that it was best for each to return home separately so that there would be no problems. Kurama was walking uptown when he felt someone was watching him - "Deja vu..."

Slowly he looked around and noticed a familiar silhouette behind a garbage can - ". . ."

"I'm sure he didn't see me this time..." - said the girl as she peeked out slightly but hid when she noticed that he was looking in her direction - "I think I was wrong..."

"Why don't you come out of hiding, Hanabi-chan?" - he said as he let out a sigh.

"Hanabi? Who is this Hanabi you speak of?" - asked the girl who was wearing glasses and a medical mask - "I'm an unknown girl who just happened to be passing by..."

"A girl who was hiding behind a garbage can?" - asked the redheaded man as he frowned - "Stop playing, Hanabi-chan..."

"Okay... I'm sorry..." - little Hyuga apologized.

"Look, Hanabi-chan... I warned you not to follow people anymore because it can be dangerous" - said Kurama while he let out another sigh.

". . ." - Hanabi was only silent as she looked down.

"Well, I can see you're sorry, that's a good thing" - nodded the young Uzumaki.

"Chastis.e.m.e.nt? What's that?" - Hanabi asked in fear.

"Punishment..." - said Kurama in a monotonous voice.

"No~!" - shouted Hanabi as the redhead again grabbed her head and squeezed it tightly.

* * * * *

"You're bad, Kurama-san..." - Hanabi said as she looked at him in discomfort. She had been forced to sit in Seiza for 30 minutes and if she moved, Kurama would hit her on the back with a wooden ruler that she honestly did not know where it came from.

"Next time it will be worse" - Kurama said with a frown - "I am going to use this ruler to hit your tiny, bad-girl a.s.s... Ok... that sounded f.u.c.k.i.n.g bad... good thing no one's around or I swear the Hiruzen Anbus will arrest me for pedophilia..."

Hanabi only blushed when she heard the redhead but quickly became enraged when she heard the last thing - "Hey!"

"But back to business" - said Kurama.

"Don't ignore me!" - exclaimed Hanabi as if she were a cat who had been stepped on.

"I still don't understand why you follow me so much..." - said Kurama without caring how the little Hyuga acted.

"Etto... I can explain..." - said Hanabi as she started to sweat - "When I grow up I want to be Anbu, is that why I'm practicing?"

"Anbu Stalker Hanabi-chan... doesn't sound so bad" - said Kurama as he rolled his eyes

"Hey!" - Hanabi only gave him an annoyed look when she heard the nickname he had given her.

"But seriously, this situation reminds me of when Hinata-chan did something like that" - said Kurama with a half-smile.

"Onee-chan... was she following you too?" - Hanabi asked in surprise.

"Yes, but it was a bit different" - answered the young redhead - "I am sure you are aware that Hinata was someone extremely shy..."

Hanabi only nodded.

"That was the reason why she could not join us much, so she always followed us at a safe distance" - continued the redhead - "This continued for a few days until Ino-chan got bored and dragged her towards us... Hinata-chan passed out from shame that time.

While the older Hyuga sister was not so shy with them, she was still afraid of making a mistake and losing her hard-won friends, which was why she was acting so cautiously.

"That sounds like something that would happen to Onee-chan" - Hanabi muttered as she shook her head.

"But there's a reason for all this" - replied the Redhead seriously - "She's like that because when she was much younger than you, she was almost kidnapped..."

"What?!" - Hanabi couldn't believe what she was hearing - " How?!"

"She told me herself" - said Kurama seriously. He couldn't understand how anyone would do something so cruel to a child as sweet as Hinata.

[Flashback 4 years ago]

You've improved Hinata-chan" - said 'Naruto' with a smile - "You don't faint when you're with me anymore"

"D-Don't be this mean, Naruto-kun..." - said Hinata embarrassed as she looked away - "I-It's not my fault I'm like this..."

"?" - 'Naruto' gave the girl a confused look because he didn't understand what she was trying to say.

". . ." - Hinata could only bite her lip while thinking whether it was a good idea to tell him about her darkest secret.

"You don't have to tell me anything" - denied the redhead - "Nothing will change if you can't tell me what happened to you."

"It's not that... I just don't want you to see me as a disgrace..." - said Hinata as the tears started to flow - "I'm sorry!"

Kurama hugged the young Hyuga as she began to tell him about the events that had happened when she had only turned 3.

[Flashback(x2)]

POV Hinata

It was my third birthday, and my father and current leader of the Hyuga clan had invited the most important people in the village, as well as the ambassadors of Kumogakure no Sato, though every time they looked at me, I was afraid.

"Here you are little Hinata" - the ambassador smiled at me as he handed me a teddy bear, though I could see a dark glow in his eyes. I was terrified but I could only accept the gift - "Th-Thank you..."

"You're welcome, little one..." - nodded the ambassador who turned to see my father - "I'm sorry I can't stay any longer but I have a lot to do"

"Don't worry, I appreciate your coming" - Otousan smiled as he shook his hand.

"Thank you for your hospitality" - that said, he left with his bodyguards but not before giving me one last look.

"Tousan..." - I said with fear but my father only shook his head - "Don't worry, Hinata, everything will be fine"

"Hai..." - I whispered as I felt a bad feeling.

The party went as planned and all the guests had already left. Otousan was sending away the last of the clan leaders who had stayed to chat about future alliances.

"Your etiquette was excellent" - he said proudly after everyone had left - "It's a shame your mother couldn't attend the party because she's been ill lately...

". . ." - I just kept silent but my gaze could not hide my concern for my Okaasan.

"I'm sure you must be tired because you've said goodbye to so many people" - said Otousan as he stroked my hair - "Go rest my little girl"

"H-Hai Otousan!" - I said with a little smile and then went to my room.

"Happy birthday my little girl" - I heard Otou-san say before I left the room.

* * * * *

I didn't know what time, but in the middle of the night, I heard someone knocking on my bedroom door. I was sure that it was most likely Otousan who had come to inform me of tomorrow's training but when I opened the door, I saw that it was not my Otou-san but some ninjas covered all in black.

"Target located!" - said one of the shinobis as I lost consciousness - "O...tou...san..."

POV Hiashi Hyuga

Today everything had been perfect, my little princess was celebrating her third birthday and I could hardly contain my happiness. My little Hinata was the spitting image of my wife Hanako, beautiful as a jewel and gentle as no other child.

I was now leaving my wife's room to check on her current state. For some strange reason, she's been getting weaker and weaker but when I took a step, I heard how the whole Residence was on high alert - "What the f.u.c.k is going on?!"

"Hiashi-sama! We have discovered intruders in the residence! - One of my Jonin gave his report.

"What?! Find out where they are!" - I shouted in anger. How could something like this happen on the birthday of Hi... - " Halt! Go to Hinata's room and protect her while we find the intruders!"

"Hai Hiashi-sama! - he exclaimed before leaving for Hinata-chan's room.

I hope my little girl is well... but unfortunately, I did not receive the good news I expected.

"I'm sorry, Hiashi-sama" - said the Jonin who returned with sweat on his forehead - "Hinata-sama... was not in her room..."

"What?! What did you say?!" - My anger was out of control - "Find out where they are! I want to see them in front of me as soon as possible! I don't care if they are missing a limb or if they have all their Tenketsu destroyed! I just want to see those responsible for kidnapping my daughter!"

"H-Hai Hiashi-sama! - he shouted before he went out to give the others their orders.

"I hope you are well Hinata-chan..." - I muttered as I ran in the direction the perpetrators would most likely use to escape. I knew the residence like the back of my hand and it was for that very reason that I could deduce where they would go - "I promise you that when I have you in my hands... I will give you the slowest and most painful death you can imagine..."

POV Hinata

"My head..." - I said as I was beginning to wake up - "Why is it so dark?"

I tried to move but it looked like I was in some kind of sack.

"Leader - I heard from outside - "I think our little ticket to wealth has woken up."

"Leave her!" - said a voice I knew because he attended my birthday party. He was none other than the ambassador from Kumogakure no Sato - "We're about to leave the Hyuga residence and from there it will be easier"

"Otou-san... I'm scared..." - I could only tremble at the thought that someone had taken me out of my home and wanted to take me away - "Please... Otou-san... save me..."

"Leader... you think that..." - said a voice but couldn't finish because a cold voice echoed in the room - "You'd better hand over my daughter!"

"Otou-san!" - I exclaimed happily as I tried to move so that he would realize I was inside the sack.

"Stand still, you little vermin!" - said the man who had me taken.

"Ack!" - It hurts... it hurts so much... I thought when the man threw me to the ground - "It hurts..."

"How dare you, you bastard!" - I heard Otousan screaming with fury but only because I felt like I was starting to lose consciousness again - "Otou...san..."

* * * * *

When I woke up again, it was already daylight but there was no one beside me. Quickly a great amount of fear began to invade my mind because I thought those bad men had managed to get me out of the house - "Otousan... Okaasan... *Sob*"

"Hinata-chan!" - shouted a female voice as it entered the room - "You're finally awake!"

"Okaa-san!" - I cried out as I jumped into my mother's arms.

" Calm down, Hinata-chan..." - Okaasan just hugged me carefully while consoling me - "It's all right now..."

"Hai... Okaasan..." - I said with a smile as I continued to cry.

* * * * *

I do not know how many days have passed but I still cannot see Hisashi Ojisan or Neji Nii-san. The people in the residence seem tense and somehow I have a bad feeling.

* * * * *

It's been a few months since they tried to kidnap me. Today I could see Hiashi Ojisan but his expression was not good. I tried to talk to Otousan about what was wrong with my uncle but he could only look at me sadly.

Did I do something wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?

* * * * *

It's been a year since the incident and I'm four years old now.

I haven't seen Hisashi Ojisan for a long time and that's starting to worry me.

Otousan has been making me train non-stop since my birthday... Did I do something wrong? Why is Otousan looking at me so coldly?

[Fin Flashback (x2)]

"Onee-chan..." - Hanabi muttered as she wept with regret. She thought Hinata was useless at first, though this was mostly because of the words the elders said to her. Now she understood her sister better and everything she had gone through.

"Honestly, I feel I told you too much" - Kurama said seriously - "But I think it is worth it. So maybe you can become the sisters you should have been"

". . ." - Hanabi was only silent as she looked at the redhead with gratitude.

"Now, if you want to know what comes next, you'll have to talk to your sister" - smiled the redhead - "That's the first step to get the two of you reconciled"

"Thank you Kurama-san" - said Hanabi while she bowed a little - "I'm sorry I can't stay longer but I need to go talk to Onee-chan"

"Do you want me to walk you home?" - Kurama asked.

"No need" - replied the youngest of the Hyuga sisters - "You've done more than enough"

Kurama said nothing more, he just watched as Hanabi ran off towards her home.

"I just hope Hinata-chan doesn't get mad at me for telling Hanabi-chan about it..." - the redheaded man muttered as he returned home.
