Thousands of questions to fill up Emily's head. Would they allow me? What if they deny? What if they ban me from games? If they give me permission, what if I fail to achieve my dreams? What if my grades are really affected? What if I get injured? All these questions were making her nervous, lowering her self-esteem and confidence.

When she looked up from the ground, her house door was in her front. To her this door seemed so high, as big and long as the house. She was hallucinating, her nervousness took control of her. She just had to ask a yes or no question from her parents. Obviously not a big deal, right? But for her, any of these options would lead to a complete new journey, with a completely different destination.

The door now started to sway left and right. She was about to faint. Suddenly, the door opened itself. All her hallucinations and imaginations flew away. The door was now completely normal. The world wasn't shaking. "Oh, Emily! What took you so long? I was about to get worried!" exclaimed her mom. "Uhhh… Hey, mom! I was walking slowly, you know, enjoying the scenery. Heh." Emily replied, thinking what to say, how to say, when to say.

"Emily, I think you are acting weird, did something bad happen at college? Did you get in trouble?" Alicia asked with a suspicious look on her face. Emily quickly replied, "Me, and trouble!? Hah! No way, I am a good girl… Why are we standing in the doorway? Let's go inside, I am kinda tired." Without thinking twice she went inside and sighed.

After eating a snack, she went to her room and fell on her bed, sighing. She took out her mobile and texted Linda.

Emily: Hey Linda. I need your help. How shall I ask my mom about the games?

Linda: Oh, hey! Help about asking something? Hah. You are weird sometimes. Just go and ask!

Emily: Easier said than done! What should I say? And how and when?

Linda: Chill girl! If you don't want to speak, just show 'em the forum, they'll understand.

Emily: Uhhh… Okay. I'll wait till my dad comes home, so they both can give me a "yes".

Linda: Great. Remember; be normal, don't be nervous, ensure them your studies and safety.

Emily: OK. I got this. Thanks!

Linda: No prob. Any time! <3

Now, Emily felt much relieved. Her best friend is always there to support her. She took out some books to study. Relaxing on her bed, she was reading history, which is the perfect bed-time story. Soon enough, she was fast asleep. Her eyes opened when she heard the noise of the door opening and closing, of her dad, Harvey, returning home as everyone welcomed him. She jumped out of bed, splashed water on her face, took the forum, hid it behind her back and went down. In the living room, her family was taking tea and gossiping. "Hey dad! How was the day?" Emily asked. "Oh, it was a busy day, but good!" he replied. She sat down and took out the forum, handing it to her mom, smiling and saying, "Mom and dad, you might wanna have a look on this!"

At first the two thought that it might be something serious, but after they were finished reading, they gave out a little sigh. Then her mom said with a sad expression on her face, "Emily, we have talked about this a lot of times. We can't let you waste your time on these games and sports, we can't sign it. That's it, discussion finished. Don't bring it up again."

By the time her mom was finished she seemed quite irritated. Emily's eyes were filled with tears, her heart broke into pieces. She only said one sentence before going to her room. "You guys are not letting me live my life as I want, you don't know how much this means to me."
